It really was an unsettlingly quiet night. There was nothing; no whispers, no talking- not even the rare sight of a random club goer staying out just a bit too far past the usual 3am end of the night life. Then again.. the way the readings had been going, things weren't alright in the city. There was something new, something terrible- something that wasn't Gabriel King. She knew about him and what she could gather, but this- this seemed to make the world putrid, a fact that she couldn't just idle by.

So what could a lone witch with nothing but an overly abundant arsenal of charms do to aid such a predicament for her city of sin? She couldn't fight; not really, not like the vampires, lycans and police of the world could.. but she could, god and earth willing, protect a good many. Which was, of course, her exact reasoning for being out at such an odd time. 4am- Just past 3, a few hours before sunrise- the full moon just barely beginning to sink behind the taller buildings of the city. Most of the night world was either settling into whatever home they had or enjoying the last hours of decadence before preparing for the next night. She, however, was combating whatever evil had come to prey on the city, silently roaming the streets with a much larger bag than usual slung unceremoniously over her shoulder. In one hand, a rather insignificant piece of chalk and the other what looked like a small wrap of leaves and a small, triangle shaped crystal.

The process was simple, wander the city, find somewhere that would not be disturbed, and hide the protection charm. It was strange but still; slowly, the process would keep those with evil intent out of the alleys and crowded places that most seemed to go late at night. Through the streets, she looked strange and out of place, despite her purpose. a simple white dress and a light blue, soft wool coat seemed more than out of place in the downtown streets at 4am. Then again- she never did blend in well with the city of Aldenville, despite whatever notions the supernatural citizens had about the estranged witch.
