When registering your account name make it the character's first and last name, you can also include their rank if they have one.

Before registering an account please read all information regarding the site including the rules, premise and character creation information. Any unused and unvalidated accounts are subject to deletion at the discretion of the staff.
Administrators and staff members reserve the right to delete any character or registered member for misconduct, disregard for the rules, or general bad behavior. Any of the previous transgressions will result in character deletions and a ban from the board.
Each player may have up to three characters upon joining provided you play them all of equal value. Exceptions may be made to allow for more characters at the discretion of the staff.
Characters should be multi-faceted and original. Taking inspiration from other sources is allowed but please do not overly model a character after one from films, books, television shows, your avatar's real person, or any other source. Any copy-cat bios will be denied and deleted.Please note: Have a well thought out connection/relationship with a canon or original character before asking. If you do not ask about a connection there will be none.
Characters should also have a unique name. Try to not name them after already existing characters in movies, books or any other media. And don't make their names outrageous either.
Characters must have strengths and weaknesses of both power and personality. No 'Mary-Sue' or 'Demi-God' characters will be accepted.
Each character will have a different 'celebrity' avatar. Only in the case of identical twins may you use the same avatar as another player and only when both agree. This may be negotiable depending on the circumstances. Taken avatars will be listed in alphabetical order by first name in the Taken Avatars thread. You may not use yourself, a friend or family member as your avatar. Anime, game, cartoon and drawn characters are not to be used either.
Once a character is created and accepted they must be put into play within ten days. This can be negotiable depending on the situation, but generally speaking the ten days stands. Any work in progress (WIP) or unfinished character applications that have not been completed within ten days of being posted will be deleted.
Each character must have a completed and approved character sheet before playing. Each character sheet should be realistic to and fitting to the board's standards. We ask that you periodically update this sheet to reflect any changes in your character's looks, personality, history, etc. using the format provided.
Game play for this RPG is story based- third person, past tense. As such you should put forth a story worthy effort in each post you make. Post length should reflect a higher level of writing and the post should serve to move the story forward in some way. Please keep all OOC [out-of-character] notes in posts to a minimum while posting in threads. Instead, please use the CBox or Plotting forums for these kinds of discussions.
Please try to keep things as realistic as possible, even though there are magical characters and creatures allowed, we dont want a confsing ot outlandish story.
In regards to god-modding; we define GMing as "performing an action using another player's character in your post without their permission, causing them to come to harm without the player's permission, or knowing things about another character that your character wouldn't/couldn't know". Do NOT GodMod unless you've been given permission from the character's player to do so. This includes NPCs. NPCs are characters that are not played by a member such as a bartender or salesman, friend or family member. These characters are for the purpose of filler and are generally expendable- for example you may order a drink from the same bartender as another player. You may not God-Mod a NPC that is a friend, family member, guard, etc brought into a roleplay by another player without the player's permission. Just use your best judgement when dealing with NPCs.
Lastly and possibly most importantly- adult situations of a sexual and violent nature happen, however, we ask that you keep it tasteful, subtle and refrain from 'cybering' on the board. A good rule of thumb is to ask whether it is gratuitous or not. Does this graphic content serve as character development or to move the story forward? If not then it should probably not be posted here.
If you are going to write content that delves into actions that are of a 'mature' nature in an open thread please leave a warning in the title line of the story. Something like [MATURE], [R], [NC-17], or [GORY] is sufficient.
When it comes to staying active on the board we ask that make at least one in character post per week, doesn't matter which character if you have more than one. If you're going to be away on vacation, busy with school, work, exams or you're ill, maybe you're just not in the mood to write- please leave a post to let us know you're taking a leave of absense (LOA). It's a good idea to give an idea of how long you'll be gone and when you have returned please let us know! Players who fail to leave a LOA or remain inactive for an extensive period of time will have their characters removed and their celebrity avatars will become available for use by new players.
Each character is allowed to post in up to four threads. If you place your character in four different threads, remember to give each thread equal attention. If not, you may be alerted to that fact and asked to pull out of a thread. If there is currently a boardwide storyline you can add it as a fifth thread. We encourage all members to join into boardwide plots but ask that if you choose to do so you be active and make it your main focus thread for the time it is in session. Remember, boardwide plots involve multiple players, often more than most, and others may be waiting on your character(s) to post.
The staff reserves the right to hold periodic activity checks. An announcement in our announcements forum will be made when these arise but there will be no other notice. It is within your best interest as a player to stay active so please keep abreast of activity checks.
If for some reason you choose to drop a character for some reason please contact the staff to remove them. Any characters removed for inactivity or at player request will be archived and their celebrity avatars will become available. If you return or choose to take them back you will be required to be re-approved by the staff. Should you choose, you are welcome to put a character up for adoption but once someone takes them please note you can't ask for them back.
Avatars are limited to a size of 200x200. Anything larger will be removed by the staff. Signatures are limited to a size of 200x400. Anything larger will aslo be removed by the staff. Please keep the naughty words and nudity to a minumum in your avatar images thanks!
In regard to player behaviour in general; be courteous to all members. No flaming, harassment, or fighting. Respect the staff and one another. Cursing and adult language are allowed here in moderation. Please, however, refrain from using racial or gender slurs. Treat other players how you would want them to treat your best friend.
And the most important rule: have FUN!!!
