[Narcissa Black]

Narcissa stood in the bathroom and looked at the large tub and began to think that a nice long hot bubble bath would help her relax and forget about that damned head girl. Every time she laid eyes on Lily Evans all Narcissa wanted to do was curse her into oblivion. Just because she was head girl she thought she could push Narcissa around and take points away and had out detentions. She shook her long blonde hair loose, for Narcissa hated having her lovely locks pulled up. The bathroom was quiet and this was the perfect moment to have some alone time.

“ What the bloody hell were they thinking making her head girl. That position belongs to someone of better stature someone who well is .”Narcissa stopped as she didn’t want anybody over hearing her., least of all Lily. Earlier that day the two ladies had a little happening that shook a few walls and almost got them both detention. “I will never take orders from a Gryffindor.” Narcissa said with a venom filled voice. Her and Lily ever got along and she knew that they would be butting heads outside of school as well. But there outside the walls of Hogwarts Narcissa would have all the power and she would use it.

The heels of her shoes made loud echoes as she started to pace back and forth on the floor. Her mind was filled with so many different that at the moment Narcissa could not think straight. Bubble baths always made her feel better , so Narcissa turned the knobs and let the water flow. But as she tried to make her mind slow down flashes of that redhead came to her eyes. “Lily Evas.”She said aloud as she shook her head.

Lily walked slowly down the halls, making sure everything was in place. She attempted to get peeves out of a suit of armor, but failed. Sighing, she rushed back to the Head Girl's dorms, grabbing some articles of clothing and a towel, as well as a scrunchie. Her emerald eyes closed for a moment as she sighed, but she rushed off toward the Prefect bathroom. Her thoughts were extremely clouded, however.

Sirius, of all people, knew how she felt toward James. It was enough for her to just break down crying. NOBODY was supposed to know! Least of all his best mate. As scary as the thought was, she felt oddly relieved that somebody other than Dorcas knew. While the thought was scary, it was something she felt good to think. She, at least, wouldn't have to tell James, would she? If Sirius didn't tell James, then, he'd know already.

She mumbled the password to the portrait of Sir Cadogan, who was in the habit of challenging anybody. A throughly put-off portrait scowled at the redhead, but swing the door open in time for Lily to hear a slytherin's voice speaking to herself.

“ What the bloody hell were they thinking making her head girl. That position belongs to someone of better stature someone who well is .”
“I will never take orders from a Gryffindor.”

Lily smirked, "Unless you'd like to write lines instead of going to any Hogsmeade trips, Black, I suggest you don't finish that sentence." she said icily. "And, you will take all orders from me, no matter what you're saying now."

Narcissa turned with a start to see Lily Evans standing before her. “ Do you really think I cant get out of any detention? Please Evans don’t fool yourself. I am not scared of you or any little threats you may make. Narcissa said as she rolled her eyes at Lily shaking her head. It did not matter to Narcissa that Lily was head girl. There were many times where her charm and beauty got her out of detentions, so Lily’s threat did not scare her. Narcissa was now getting annoyed that she was interrupted. All Narcissa wanted some time alone to think. Thank god they were the only two around, if anyone else showed Narcissa would have to hold back, unless it was her sister.

After pacing a little Narcissa stood there and looked Lily right in the eyes. “Once out of school you do realize that people like me will have all the power and you well will have to well fend for poor little self. We live in a world of have and have nots , which one are you” Narcissa said with a taunting tone to her rival. With the mood she had been in lately it did not take much to get Narcissa going.

She stood there now with such a smirk on her face. Lucius would have loved this little display of her temper. That was one of the things he loved about her, the fact she did not scare easily. The bubbles began to fill the Roma like tub as the two girls stood there facing each other. Somehow both knew this was not going to end well. It could end with both I the water and in trouble. But Narcissa was no idiot , she was not going to throw the first curse. If she fired back it would be in defense hence forth no detention. Nar

“ Do you really think I cant get out of any detention? Please Evans don’t fool yourself. I am not scared of you or any little threats you may make."

"Ah, well, then, You can help filch clean the fourth-floor corridor tomorrow night. It's simple as that, Black." she said silkily, her grin taunting. Her green eyes narrowed, but didn't look too angry. It took a lot to make Lily Evans angry... Unless, of course, your name was James Potter. Then, it was quite easy.

“Once out of school you do realize that people like me will have all the power and you well will have to well fend for poor little self. We live in a world of haves and have-nots , which one are you”

"Me, well well. I'll be doing everything I can to thwart people like you're going to be. Death eater to be, how cute. You do know, however, that you'll never make it out? Have you never picked up a fairytale, Black? Hmm... Good always triumphs over evil, Miss Black. Every time." She said with a wide grin, her emerald eyes searching the room quite slowly.

"How's your boyfriend, by the way? Nice and heartbroken? You're making that Zabini boy jump through hoops. Yes, you're just fun-filled aren't you?" she rolled her eyes, not exactly caring.

Lily took out her wand and stretched her hand while holding it carefully. Her green eyes examined it quite slowly, making sure Narcissa couldn't catch her off guard. Lily hoped she wouldn't be that stupid.

Narcissa shook her head as she watched Lily draw her wand first. If this was supposed to scare Narcissa it had no effect. The threat of detention or Lily being head girl meant nothing to someone such as her. Rolling her eyes the Slytherin Prefect turned and walked over to a mirror checked her hair and then pushed some of it around, she then turned again to face Lily. “I do not read muggle stories Evans. I have better things to do with my time then read such filth. As for the battle between good and evil well in some stories good does not always win, sometimes the great hero pays a great price.” Narcissa said with confidence as she played with the sleeve of her robe. Her wand was hidden up there, and could be ready at the action of a little flick.

“As for my personal life it is just that mine ok. It is not my fault that men find me attractive and flock around me. Don’t be jealous Lily; someday maybe that poor idiot Potter will have the guts to make you his wife. The two of you would make a great couple. Maybe if I am feeling generous I could hire you at Malfoy manor to clean .” The words came from Narcissa’s mouth covered in distain. She knew the more she talked the more angry Lily got and that was ok, after all she pulled her wand first.

Since Lily had come into the room Narcissa stopped paying attention to the giant tub. The water was filling up rather quickly and the bubbles were getting higher as well.Narcissa played with a ring that had a pink diamond in it on her right hand. Lucius had given it to her at the beginning of the year as a little I love you gift. One thing Lily said did ring true. Narcissa was playing Zabini for a fool and poor Lucius was hurting. But she would never let Lily know that.

“I do not read muggle stories Evans.”

"Pity. You'd understand most relationships if you read them. I suggest something like.. the boy who cried wolf.. possibly Cinderella. Yes, Cinderella. Two awful sisters are cruel to one sister, as is their mother, yet, the girl who had cruelly treater still found true love." she explained nonchalantly, shrugging.

“As for my personal life it is just that mine ok. It is not my fault that men find me attractive and flock around me. Don’t be jealous Lily; someday maybe that poor idiot Potter will have the guts to make you his wife. The two of you would make a great couple. Maybe if I am feeling generous I could hire you at Malfoy manor to clean .”

Lily nodded patiently as Narcissa ranted, smirking. "Alright. Well, people don't flock. I wouldn't be surprised if you used love potions... wait, yes. I would be surprised! I'd definately be extremely surprised if you had the brainpower to make a simple potion like that." she said, her grin growing more into a sneer. "I'm not jealous, and I'd be an awful hypocrite if I dated Potter. That will never happen." she lied, she kind of did like him, actually. "Nor would we make a good couple, either. And... well, what makes you believe I'd want to be harassed to clean like a house elf? No, I don't think I'll ever work for a snot rag like you, Little Miss "Princess" black." Lily yawned gracefully, her green eyes flicking slightly toward the pink ring on Narcissa's hand, which made her grin, no, sneer, even wider.

"Feeling bad?" she asked silkily, her eyes full of readiness to keep jesting about Narcissa's love life. "[n]By the look on your face, I'm guessing I hit a chord, maybe?[/b]"

Narcissa looked at Lily and shook her head. “ If that was you attempt at a insult, I expected better, wait no I didn’t. It is not like you can come up with anything better. “She said shaking her head once more. Narcissa did notice that the wand was pointed at her but she did not care. It would take more then that to scare her.” Evans I don’t care what you say or do. I am justified in my ways because I know that people like you wont be around forever to bother me. The times and winds are changing and it will blow people like you right out of my path. Now if all you are going to do is insult me the get out of my site.” Those last few words were full of spite.

Narcissa removed her grey sweater and tossed it on a chair and turned her back on Lily. This muggleborn was nothing to her and it was angering Narcissa that Lily touched on something. “ Unlike you my dear Evans I do not need a potion to have the man I love. When I get married I wont have a worry in the world. I will have all my hear desires. My eyes wont be disturbed by the sites of people such as you.” As Narcissa spoke her deep blue eyes glared at Lily with hatred that had been building since they first met.

Her wand was still tucked inside her right sleeve as if it were needed Narcissa could have it ready.” You didnt hit a cord you muggleborn thing , nothing you ever say can affect me no matter how hard you try.” She finished with a smirk as Narcissa stepped closer to Lily now standing itches from her wand.

“Evans I don’t care what you say or do. I am justified in my ways because I know that people like you wont be around forever to bother me. The times and winds are changing and it will blow people like you right out of my path. Now if all you are going to do is insult me the get out of my site.”

"Nothing in the world could justify your ways." she shot quickly, her green eyes flashing with anger. "And, well, too bad. Your dreams of me dying are probably going to go unfufilled. Seeing as I'm going to become an auror, whilst you are going to be a common housewife." Lily Grinned.

“ Unlike you my dear Evans I do not need a potion to have the man I love. When I get married I wont have a worry in the world. I will have all my hear desires. My eyes wont be disturbed by the sites of people such as you.”

"You see, this is where you are ignorant, Black. I could call James probably any time I'd like, and ask him to Hogsmeade, and would never need a potion, to be with him." Wait. Did she just tell Narcissa Black how she felt about James? Her face went gradually scarlet as she realized this, and if Narcissa hadn't caught on, she should now.

” You didnt hit a cord you muggleborn thing , nothing you ever say can affect me no matter how hard you try.”

"You can say that all you want, Narcissa Black. But, you know I did. Occasionally, I'm right quite often. I suppose that's more that I can say for you. See, You're wrong about many, many things. But, if you listen to anything I say tonight, let it be this: Malfoy might not put up for this much longer. He'll find a better- looking girl soon, and forget about little old you. That is-- unless you dump Zabini. Trust me, guys aren't ones to mess around with. It's illogical, unfair, yet true." Lily sneered, looking around innocently. She was serious, but a total hypocrite.

“My dearest Lily Evans there is nothing common about me. Sorry I can’t say the same for you. I mean people like you are as common as dust bunnies or mold in a place such as this. I do suggest you get used to be nothing but a common dust mold whose time is fleeting. “Narcissa said with a sneer as she began to comb her hair like she always does before she takes a bath. She did snicker a bit as Lily did let it slip about how she felt about James. This was an interesting tidbit of news, and it was something that could prove useful.

Kicking off her shoes Narcissa then removed her socks and tested the water in the tub with her toe. She now turned her attention back to the problem at hand, Lily Evans. “Like I have said before Lucius and I are destined to be together. It does not matter if we break up and date others. Our lives will always be intertwined as lovers. I will marry him and be the talk of this town for a very long time. I will be part of its illustrious history; you on the other hand will be nothing but a foot note. Again get used to it.” The words coming from Narcissa’s mouth were dripping with distain.

This little confrontation was giving Narcissa a needed release of some pent up frustrations. She gave Lily a little fake smile as she wondered how this meeting was going to end. Narcissa loved a good fight.
