scars and blemishes? He has a scar on the underside of his chin, which is not noticeable unless you are right there inspecting. Usually people don’t get that close, unless they are wanting to snog.
other distinguishing marks: He has one small “beauty mark” on the left side of his left eye. It’s almost light enough to be considered a lone freckle.
skin tone: Very white. Not washed-out or pasty, but more porcelain.

Although it is quite a cocky statement, many young ladies would be quick to agree that Apollo Avery is quite handsome. It isn’t much of an achievement, as both of his parents seem to have the beauty gene as well, but it is very much something that Apollo prides himself on, which is very evident. If Avery were to fill this out himself, this would definitely be his favorite section, and he would undoubtedly go through every small detail. Good thing he isn’t, right?
Apollo’s facial features are chiseled and pronounced, yet not unattractively so. His nose is proportionate to his face, long and coming to a point just above his full lips. His skin, as mentioned before, is porcelain white and nearly flawless, though he like any other teen had to work to keep it so. His hair is dark brown, but not quite black- as some mistake it for. His eyebrows and eyelashes are also dark. He keeps his face clean-shaven, although if he really wanted a full beard, he could probably have one in just a couple days. His dark-fringed eyes are a piercing light blue color. It isn’t uncommon to find a haughty expression on Apollo’s face. He is very self-aware of his looks.
Standing at about 6’2”, Apollo is thin, but not so thin that it seems as if he’s on drugs. His hands and his feet are proportionate to his body, and he keeps his nails trimmed. He’s not athletic (nor does he care about athletics), but he does not just let his body go either.
Apollo’s family is rich, and that is how Apollo dresses. He would never be caught dead wearing anything simpleton muggles would wear. He likes the way the Hogwarts uniforms look on him. He thinks the slacks accent his rear-end nicely, and the button-up shirts are just classy-looking. He has, however, adopted more of a casual sexy look, maybe rolling up the sleeves and loosening the tie a little. He dresses how he acts: arrogantly.

- transfiguration- it’s the only class he nearly struggles with and mainly because he hates animals, and almost every other spell has to do with an animal

goals: to marry a rich, sexy pureblood, and to have snog as many females as possible before he reaches that point.
personality summary:
Once you get past Apollo’s breathtaking appearance, and get down to his core… well, you might not like him as much, unless you are equally as sadistic as he is, or you enjoy the bad boy. As I have said before, Apollo is rich, and he acts like it. He flaunts his money and literally wears it on his sleeves. He flaunts pretty much everything that he finds good about himself (which is pretty much everything anyway), sometimes to the point of annoyance. Many people, mostly males and some females that he has turned down (he doesn’t t urn down many females, just the mudbloods and the uglies), do find his personality very unattractive, which doesn’t really phase Apollo. He’s not willing to change for anybody, he’s just too stubborn.
Apollo has a very dry sense of humor, and a very sarcastic quality about him. He enjoys mocking other people. He doesn’t have very many male friends outside of Slytherin, and the males that he particularly hates, he calls them by female names, because he can. In fact, that’s his attitude for many of the things he does: “Because I can.” In his opinion, he can do anything he wants. He has the looks and money, right?
Having gone through life with pretty much everything just handed to him, Apollo is a somewhat lazy person, and that’s quite all right with him. If he doesn’t necessarily have to work for what he wants, why exert such energy, when he could be channeling it more toward snogging? He’s not overly romantic in any sense, although he probably could be if he tried. He doesn’t care much about falling in love. All he cares about is getting what he wants. I guess you can call him rather insensitive. In fact, I mentioned before that he fears love. He’s heard everything there is to hear about love, and how self-sacrificing it is. Seeing as he loves himself over pretty much everything in the world, to be “conned” into self-sacrifice would ruin him and everything he ever built up for himself. He is not a closet romanticist, as some girls like to think about him. He’d just rather not be tied down with such a vulnerable emotion.

other family: He does have a few distant relatives, though he does not keep in touch with them. They include the usual aunts and uncles, some cousins, and some grandparents.

history summary:
The Avery family is a pureblood family located in England, far from Muggle establishments. Vane and Cecily own a rather impressive manor that has been passed down from generation to generation. The oldest living Avery is almost 400 years old, thanks to unicorn blood, though nobody knows where he lives. His name is also Apollo, and it is obvious where our Apollo got his name.
While the Averys are one of the more prominent pureblood families, they do not associate with one another very often, mainly because some of the other distant relatives do not find anything wrong with associating with Mudbloods. Vane has not seen his youngest brother and sister in twenty years. It is rumored that Vane and a couple of his brothers have much to do with the Death Eaters, though there is no evidence supporting this.
Alcoholism runs in the Avery family, and so does a strong sense of loyalty to the pureblood “race”. Vane is a very out-spoken person, and speaks out against Mudbloods wherever he is. Cecily is quiet, but it is evident that she stands behind her husband 100%. The Avery men do not marry for love, but for status.
Very few Averys who attended Hogwarts were placed in any other house than Slytherin, and Apollo is no exception. They are known for good looks and poisonous personalities. The support Voldemort’s cause, and they support the usage of house elves.
Vane Avery works with the Ministry of Magic for the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes, and Cecily spends his money and dotes on her boys for a living. She’s pretty useless, really, and Vane only keeps her around to show her off.
Apollo and his brother grew up in a home where love was not encouraged and hatred was. A household where arrogance was okay, and with the motto of “Go big, or go home”. If you don’t make a name for yourself, you fail as an Avery. Although his father would never admit it, Apollo has turned out to be just the same way as he did. And that makes him proud.

Regulus could not believe that he had left the Dark Lord's presence. He had been so sure that he would be dead on the floor within a minute in that parlor, but the Dark Lord had shown a massive amount of mercy that night, and Regulus didn't know whether or not he should be happy or sorrowful about it. If he had been killed, it would have ended all his troubles for him. He wouldn't have to worry about it in the future. But then again, he also would lose everything good in his life, which would basically be Desdemona. It wasn't really a hard choice to make, Regulus decided after he looked back on it. He'd take Desdemona with his hardships any day.

His body was aching. Regulus apparated into his bedroom, cringing in pain as he sat down and pulled his black boots from his feet. Slowly he unbuttoned his shirt and let it slide off of his body. He was ready for bed. He wanted to sleep for days and days. He had never been in so much pain as he had that night, and wasn't sure if he'd ever feel the same again. He was still sweating, and still shaking. Why had the Dark Lord spared him, if he could so easily torture him?

There was a knock at Regulus' door as he made to loosen the fastenings on his pants, but he stopped and went to see who was bothering him so late. Of course, it was the mangy house elf. "What do you want?" Regulus growled.

"Master..." The house elf whimpered, adverting it's eyes from it's master's naked chest, "a young lady is downstairs waiting for you. She's been here for a while."

Regulus' dark eyebrows reached toward his hairline as he pushed past the house elf, not bothering to cover up his naked chest as he went down the stairs. It was painful, every step, but he was almost certain that the said young lady was Desdemona.

He found Desdemona sleeping quite soundly in a chair in the front hallway, her beautiful head drooping down upon her chest. Oh, she was a sight for sore eyes. Regulus' sore eyes then dropped to what was in her hand. She had found his letter. He had intended to remove the letter until a later date if he made it out alive, but it seemed that it was much too late to pretend he didn't feel anything more than friendship. No. As he watched her sleep, he felt as if his heart would bust into a million pieces. She was so gorgeous.

Regulus hated to wake her. Slowly he bent over and eased her petite, light body into his arms. Yes, he was weak, but he could make it up the stairs. He willed himself to push his body to the extremes. She smelled so wonderful. Regulus made his way up the stairs and then into his bedroom, laying Desdemona upon his bed. She had probably worried herself to sleep. Perhaps he should wake her to let her know he was okay. Standing over her, Regulus bent to press a kiss upon her ear before whispering, "Desdemona... wake up, love." He kissed her cheek and she stirred.

Shaking her shoulder slightly, Regulus finally woke Desdemona. She blinked up at him for a moment or two before he spoke. "Des... you can stop worrying. I'm here." He tried to smile, but it looked more as a grimace. The Cruciatus Curse had definitely put a damper on his mood.
