Subplots Subplots. They're mini-plots between the characters that go on throughout the entire role play. Cool, eh? I think we've got a fair amount. But, we can always add more. :3

Seventh Floor The room of requirement is on this floor. Not many students know of this room, but for the ones who do, it's quite nice. It appears only if you absolutely need it, and when it does, it's filled with absolutely everything you need. And what's in it depends on what you need.
Seventh floor is host to Flitwick, the Charms teacher, his office. Not very much else, just a corridor or two. Maybe an empty classroom. The room of requirement...

Hogsmeade Hogsmeade is located just down the road from Hogwarts, the school and the village have always shared a special relationship. On select Saturdays throughout the school year the village is filled with Hogwarts students, who are allowed to visit beginning in their third year; some of the Hogwarts teachers, including Hagrid and Dumbledore, visit more frequently. The railway station that serves the village is actually on the other side of Hogwarts, and this is where the Hogwarts Express drops students off at the beginning of each school year.

Diagon alley Tapping just the right brick in the wall behind the Leaky Cauldron in London ("Three up...two across...") will reveal an archway which is a portal into Diagon Alley, a long cobbled street where is to be found a strange and exciting assortment of shops and restaurants. It is unquestionably the hub of commerce in the British wizarding world, with virtually every wizarding business stationed there. Consequently, the demand for space here is steep, and rent costs "loads of Galleons"

Azkaban
Far out in the icy waters of the North Sea lies a tiny island that is home to one of the most terrible places on earth: Azkaban, the wizarding prison.
Azkaban is a terrible place. Prisoners were for years guarded by Dementors, horrible creatures who have been described as "sightless soul-sucking fiends." They feed on positive emotions, which means that after spending much time in the prison, the prisoners lose all hope and all good feelings and thoughts. They are forced to relive the darkest, most horrible memories of their lives. Some go mad, others simply despair and die.

Godric's Hollow Though a Muggle village, Godric's Hollow has a storied wizarding history. For over a thousand years it has been home to notable wizards and witches, and has been most famous as the birthplace of Hogwarts founder Godric Gryffindor. More recently, however, it has become renowned instead as the site of Voldemort's first downfall. Voldemort came to the village in 1981, in the midst of an open war on the wizarding world, intending to kill one-year-old Harry Potter after overhearing a prophecy predicting Harry's power. Instead his Killing Curse rebounded, blowing apart the house and destroying him.

Queerich Marsh Eight hundred years ago, a group of witches and wizards used an damp stretch of nettle-filled ground called Queerditch Marsh as a place to play a new game they had invented. This game involved broomsticks and a "big leather ball." Soon they added a couple of heavy rocks, bewitched to try to knock players off their brooms. The whole business was observed by a witch named Gertie Keddle who wrote about what she saw, in badly spelled Saxon, in her diary. That diary is now in the Museum of Quidditch in London. Queerditch Marsh itself has been made Unplottable.

Little Hangleton A town of massive importance to recent wizarding history and yet unknown to most modern wizards, Little Hangleton is found about six miles from its neighbor, Great Hangleton, and is the location of the Riddle House, where Tom Marvolo Riddle killed his father, Tom Riddle, and his grandparents in the summer of 1944. It is also the location of the graveyard where Voldemort regained his body in 1995. Nearby, in a copse on the hillside, was the Gaunt House, wherein lived the Gaunt family, the last remaining descendants of Salazar Slytherin.

Great Hangleton Great Hangleton, neighbor to Little Hangleton, is found about two hundred miles from Little Whinging (which places it somewhere in Yorkshire, most likely, especially given the "Little" and "Great" appellations). Great Hangleton is approximately six miles from Little Hangleton and also contains a "dark and dingy" police station that serves both towns.

Grimmauld Square Grimmauld Square is a "small and shabby" "square of unkempt grass," surrounded by "tall, dilapidated houses", which include number twelve, Grimmauld Place. It is in this square that Death Eaters are stationed as lookouts while Harry, Ron, Hermione hide from them inside the house (DH11. We know the square's name from when Harry, Ron, Hermione, and their guard from the Order of the Phoenix rode the Knight Bus back to Hogwarts following winter holiday in OP24, the bus "rumbled around Grimmauld Square, weaving on and off the pavement," before shooting off to Birmingham.

Underground Stations The underground railway system in London - what in the U.S. would be referred to as a subway - is commonly referred to as the Underground, or occasionally the "tube." Though the names of the stations are never specified.

The Burrow The Burrow is a wizard house, owned by the Weasley family. It's at least four stories tall, built so crazily that it must certainly be held up by magic. It's located outside of the village of Ottery St. Catchpole, but so well hidden that the postman may not even know where it is. It has a ghoul in the attic and gnomes in the garden.

Number 12 Grimmauld Place Unplottable and hidden away behind a Fidelius Charm, between two shabby London Muggle houses, is number twelve Grimmauld Place. This is the family home of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black, one of the most prominent pure-blood wizarding families. The house is derelict, a ruin of its former self. The mistress of the house, Mrs. Black, died c. 1985, and since then "stuff's been breeding in here," as Hermione says. Her eldest son, Sirius, became the owner of the place after his mother's death, but since he was in Azkaban, no one but Kreacher the house-elf watched over things. Sirius' father put "every security measure known to wizard-kind on the house." The house is located a twenty-minute walk (approximately one mile) from King's Cross Station.

The Gaunt Household Located in the woods just outside Little Hangleton, the Gaunt House was home to Marvolo Gaunt and his two children, Morfin and Merope. The last remaining descendants of Salazar Slytherin, they lived there in poverty, speaking Parseltongue to each other and living in deplorable conditions.
