The term hack may cause confusion to people - if you mean change/add or tweak settings in the registry, then it can become more clear to understand..

PE registry "hacking" is mandatory to get things done....but more important to me is to demystify things like RegWriteString,1,"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE",RegEnumPath\Control","FilteredConfigVector",00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00
since in reality it's a different type (no string) and I wonder how it works.....since the build works fine with no error ....am I missing something or what -------------------- Let iT be Rock!

I've disabled that function as it was not properly converting the string back to binary format.. next release of batcher will have this fixed without problems.
In the meanwhile you can always use reg.exe for binary data.. -------------------- Nuno Brito's page - A simple one man page - nothing else - nothing less simple..

One hacks the windoze registry from vers 3.0, no sweat.
Suppose it beats using "copy con" to hack the OS/2 config sys file. Just a little, though. |

I hack reg sometimes, mostly to optimize settings in XP.
