This fan fiction is set 5 years after Season 13, it contains huge spoilers for those of you who haven’t seen Season 13 yet!
This fan fiction contains the characters Dr. Luka Kovac (Milan Kostelic), Dr. Abby Lockhart, Joseph Kovac, Dr. John Carter, Dr. Lilah Goodman (Dani Kostelic).

The names Milan, Dani, Lilah and their last names were all randomly chosen by me and a friend of mine.

Luka’s POV

I am Dr. Luka Kovac, not Milan Kostelic! I never was! Why did this have to happen? Why did freaking Curtis Ames had to go crazy on me?! For the safety of my family I died, but the Dr. Luka Kovac inside me never died, I carried him with me in becoming Milan Kostelic, a nice Croatian citizen created by the FBI. Milan had a wife, much younger than him called Dani, she was 27 years old and he was 40. Dani wasn’t really Dani either, she was Dr. Lilah Goodman, also a doctor which patient went crazy on her. Marina was half Croatian and she was really 27 years old. Such a young woman and already running from people who wanted to kill her. Marina didn’t talk much about what happened to her, and I didn’t either. Lilah and I had been married for 3 and a half years now, well we weren’t really married, but Milan and Dani were. I started fussing around, having flashbacks of what all happened, the gun, his face, her face, Joe crying, the trigger being pulled and then.. I sat up in bed, sweating.

Lilah turned around to me and sat up to. “You okay?” She asked. “Yeah, I’m okay” I say, catching my breath. Lilah got out of bed and pulled a top over her head. “What are you doing?” I ask her. “I’m going to get you a glass of water” She said, she always cared for me, and through the years we began to love each other, I got myself comfortable as Lilah came back with a glass of water, she handed it to me and sat down next to me in bed, when I put the glass down she put her head on my chest I stroke her hair. “What are we going to do about this? If it isn’t me having a nightmare, you are having one. I can’t take this anymore Milan” She said. “Luka.. Can you please stop calling me Milan when we are together, nobody’s going to hear us..” I tell her. “I know.. I just don’t know what to do anymore. I want to go home, go back to America, do what I do best..” She said and snuggled up to me. I held her in my arms knowing she was right, we had no idea what to do or where to go. I decided that the first thing in the morning was going to be calling to the FBI to find out if there is anything we could do to get ourselves back to America. For Lilah’s sake, she’s going crazy here. I looked and Lilah, she was fast asleep.

*Chicago*
“Abby come on, you need to get up!” Carter said, practically pushing her out of bed. “5 more minutes!” She says. “You got 5 more minutes 5 minutes ago, and 5 minutes before that.. And before that.. Come on, Joe needs to go to school” He said, now kissing her neck. “Okay, I’m coming” She said, turning around and quickly kissing Carter. She jumped up and walked into the bathroom. “Joe, sweetie! Get ready will you!” She yelled to the living room where a 5 and a half years old Joe was watching TV. “Okay mommy!” He said and then turned back to the TV. Abby looked at Carter as she was closing the bathroom door. “I’ll take care of it” He said throwing his hands up in the air and walked to Joe.

Abby jumped in the shower and as she did every morning, she thought about the father of her son, Luka. She always talked to him in her mind, telling about what has been going on with Joe and with her and how well Joe is doing but that he misses his father very much. She thought about it, it’s been 4 years now, 4 years without Luka. Curtis Ames was behind bars now, but it felt like it wasn’t enough. He killed the man she loved so dearly! Thank god Carter understood what was going through her mind every day, every hour, for a year now Carter and Abby were back together, it was weird at first, Abby hadn’t had a man in her life after Luka except for Joe, and then Carter got back into her life. Abby was happy now, she knew it.
