I just saw this show last Saturday...and it really scared me. The begining is really strange. The rest is strange too.

Recently saw this show. Kind of dark if you ask me. That kid is just....wow.

I love it. Creepy, weird, and sometimes funny. Lil' Slugger is cool too, except for when he does that really weird smile, where he looks like he has a hair lip and has braces or something...

Though, some of the episodes can get really messed up. Like the one with the father, daughter, and internet involved...

This is a show that I've actually been following (somewhat rare for me) and the plot is confusing, to say the least, but it all seems to tie in together and make some sense, which is starting to happen. It is pretty dark and disturbing at times, and the fact that it's masked by certain things, like the anime of the dog, is part of the message I think.

Yeah. I think... It's like Anti-FLCL. It's weird, and doesn't make any sense. But not making sense is part of what makes it make sense. like FLCL, except weird in the opposite, dark direction
This, actually, is the only anime i don't like that much, though i do watch it regularly...

It IS a lot like FLCL, in that it's one of those shows that makes no sense, until you see the whole thing, think about it, and then find someone who's smarter than you and has seen it to just tell you.

Exactly. I'm watching that one for the second time, and I only *think* i understand it all.

Ahem to that (for FLCL and PA). So far, this series seems to have some sort of moral about the flaws for escaping reality, like certain anime fans for example.

Wonder if that's a coincidence
Last two weeks have really confused me. Two weeks ago, the guy was rushing to get the Miromi show on the air, and then Little Slugger got him. last week, The detective's wife was talking to Little slugger, and then watched Miromi. Doesn't that mean he was in two places at once??? that's the only thing that's really bothering me now. And the fact he turned gigantic as she was talking to him...

I think that Little Slugger is more like a demon-like thing, a personification of an idea of ultimate escape. That and the fact that he grows more powerful as someone gives into dispair. And a lot of the show is based on the idea that suicide is 'the ultimate escape.' The series also has a lot about the contrast between illusion and reality especially with the kid who thought he lived in an RPG. I'm still trying to figure out the metaphor of the last episode, the walls dropping with the detective's wife. I've already figured out what the detective's thing is a metephor of .

You're definitely right. If only my english teachers knew how good these shows were with metaphors! People always say anime's a brainless thing to watch, but there are a lot that require a significant amount of thinking to fully understand. If you don't think, it's not going to make much sense.

And if you watch them from the first episode in order, that helps too. However, as far as i've seen, only one person had actually DIED in the show so far, the Kid they had arrested as Little slugger. Everyone else was merely unconscious.

Except the victims of little slugger After the kid died. I'm pretty sure he killed those. (which probably has some kinda meaning behind it)

Oh, yeah. The guy from two weeks ago with the Episode of Miromi, he died. I can't recall individually any episodes before that, though... In the episode where the people were going to commit suicide, no one was killed, i think. but i just can't think of any others.

I'm still trying to figure out the episode of the people trying to commit suicide... I think they might have already been dead, like when at the end of the episode when the girls take a picture and scream when they look at it.
