Yeah. I was really looking forward to the annoying little shits of BBA to be left behind with the new forum move. I guess I was wrong.
I won't name names, but there is one certain person there I find should honestly be suspended and consider how they've been acting. Someone, even on the old forum, who is one of those peopl who will start a thread and just keep replying to it over and over BEGGING for someone to "help" them or do something for them. That is fucking ridiculas and childish. That's something I want everyone to know I will not tolerate here. This is an example:

"Hey guys I need a lot of pictures drawn please!
(million images of characters here)"

No on replies.

"PLEASE?!"
"Anyone! I know you people wanna do this lol!"
"Hellloooo? Will someone please do these for me?"
"I'll do an art trade if you'll do them!"

someone replies saying... "Hmm.. that's a lot, probably why no one wants to."

and then the person goes to say
"Oh you can do it lol! haha I know oyu can!"
"You're awesome like that you could totally do them all!"
"come onnnn!"

and the person who replied says "No, theres too many of them, sorry."

and then the person who started the thread is like
"But you're awesome!!!!"

ect, ect. that is just fucking PATHETIC.
Fucking grow the fuck up and learn when to stop bugging people, and then MAYBE someone MIGHT be nice to you and be willing to do something.
This person I took off my art trade list because I do not approve of this behavior, especially on a forum you need to act decently mature in.

Maybe people think I'm "too strict", as I've been told by people who were considering joining here, but at least it keeps fucking immature shits like that off my forum.


Ontop of that, I'm fucking sick an tired of people saying this place is a joke. I've been told it's a bad forum for how many times it's gone down and moved. I've been told it's a bad forum for never exceeding 100 members. I've been told it's a bad forum because the rules are too strict and that people are unfriendly here.
I've been told it's a bad forum because it doesn't have ten thousand posts per day.
Well, you know what I have to say to that?

Open your own place with a plotline as deep as mine is and see if you can maintain it. Open your own place where you are the ONLY administrator and the ONLY person who does any of the mod responsibilities. Open your own place, ontop of that, being in school, having a job, not having internet at home, moving from place to place, moving even more, going to college, working even more, and then fucking see if you can maintain it successfully. Fuck you, anyone, who says this is a bad forum. I am fucking proud of this place and that it's still hanging on and going into it's second year. I'm fucking proud of the loyal members I have, though they may be few. I owuld love to see any other forum out there who have at least 5 members so loyal that they would help in any way possible to keep it alive, so loyal they waited three months for the reopening, checking the closed forum daily for any news, members so loyal they could find the new forum without anyone telling them about it like they were a heat seaking missle with this as their target, and members so loyal that the characters you have created, they are so attached to it kills them not to play them.

There are few communities out there like that. The BBA for fucking sure isn't a community. Kay herself agrees with this, she hates that forum. Did you know that? Kay absolutely hates her forum because of all the shit and drama that's on it daily, because no one knows how to mind their manners and obey some simple rules, because no one gives her the respect she deserves. And I could not agree with her more.
BBA members are largely ungrateful for what Kay has done for them. I almost worship that woman for what she's done. I admire her, I envy her, I am so damn proud of all of her accomplishments and only wish my own were half of hers.
I hate going to that forum to see these ungrateful shitheads bitching and moaning about not being able to figure something out on the new forum or that they didn't get what they wanted, blah fucking blah.
I'm tired of seeing Artists there harassed, of attention whores who have to have the spotlight on them at all times, of fucking ten and eleven year olds bragging about how they've kissed a boy and how they want to loose their virginity. That is ridiculas and just.. retarded.

And people say MY forum is bad? Hah, that is a joke.

This is a community. We play fair and by the rules or else don't play at all, we know when to behave, when we can be stupid. We know when enough is enough. We have a tremendous amount of respect for eachother. Honestly, the way we work on this forum reminds me a lot of an actual pack. We know our places, our bond is strong, and outsiders who dare invade upon our turf with this.. idiocy are chased off or killed.

Am I bashing the BBA? No, I'm bashing that forum. I'm bashing what people have made it, what it has become. I've been a member there since 2005 and I've seen it slowly rot into what it is now, unfortunately. So, if because of this I'm no longer welcomed there, so be it. If because of this I lose members, so be it. If because of this people don't want to join, so fucking be it.

Do not fucking come here and tell me my project, my creation, is a piece of shit when you couldn't even begin to handle it, when you come from a place that isn't even run by the owner.

As I told someone before, if Kay tried to run that forum alone, with only ONE person helping her, there would not be a BBA forum. I bet she will tell you the same thing.
So fucking reconsider the words you're typing before you post them, you immature little shits.

Act like a mature adult or at least a mature teenager is anything.
That, or go have a huge fucking branch of LIFE smack you across the face, THEN come back an talk to me.

People think this forum is bad? They should see all the others I have joined in my 2 years of roleplaying. Yours was my 4th, and it is the only one of the only forums out of the 43 [almost all which have died in less than a month] which I have loved dearly, and I am sure every other member here thinks the same. I'm not trying to diss the BBA here, but I agree that it's not much of a community.

If anyone thinks the rules are strict, they have never been on a REAL community forum before. The members here are wonderful people, we aren't rude, and if we are, we try to correct ourselves. I haven't seen any of us constantly beg, or any other things you see irritating. We act like mature people, even if some of us are teenagers. We've allowed a 'ranting' section for our members to speak their minds, I don't see that on other forums!

And if anyone thinks this site is bad, I have a whole list of places worst! I could name them all from the top of my head.

If ANYONE wants to diss Toksyc or this forum, sent the shit to ME. I can deal with whatever you can dish out. Try it.

The sole reason I was attracted to this forum (NA before it) is because of the mature and experienced people on here. Not only are their wonderful personalities (except maybe one or two from the past forum) but people who know how to RP.

I know we all have to start somewhere and that isn't younger RPers faults. But it's when they actually think and act like they're the best thing ever that puts me off. And obnoxious and inconsiderate using Toky's example of hounding for art.
This happens alot on the BBA and like Toky I thought alot of those people would be left behind with the shift. I rarely frequent the forum now because I feel detached from that 'community' filled with spam boards of "Hey -random member-... have a cookie!" >_>;
And I hate not being involved with the BBA as it was where I first learnt how to RP in 2004. I have so many characters and parts of myself birthed into that place. But at least they're still memories.

And I think you both drew a valid conclusion without realising it.
Because we are a mature forum, we can tolerate a rant board (of course with some rules). And not get up-tight about it.
I once read a 4 page long spam/rant thread on BBA and it spawned originally from a first post of "My myspace is being gay. Sorry guys, I'm not ignoring you."
It was then followed up with so many posts by members saying "I'm bi. I find that offensive."

Okay I'm done ranting. And I do love the BBA and I have made many, many, many friends through there but of course from 'back in the good old days'. I can see why Kay doesn't frequent the board, but it's good that she keeps it going aswell because it's a good publicity and fanclub for her comic and has helped her alot.

Mm, some of the kids on BBA really do disgust me, like recently in the spam place there was some talking about making out and what they liked best and i'm like "O_O YOU ARE ELEVEN YEARS OLD! GO WATCH POKEMON" XD :shudders: I didn't even start looking for anything sexual/affectionate like that until I was about 16, and even then I wasn't sure. Gahh..

I'm just fed up with that forum. I mean, Kay has my full support for her comic and everything she does, but her forum has gotten out of hand and out of control. I love this place as I have loved every community I have ever created because like both of you said, we are mature here, and I don't let immaturity fly.

how I see it, when you sign up for a forum with blood, fighting, mating, raising pups, ect, you have signed up for something you need to be mature about, and thus if you can't act that way, you shouldn't be here. That's how it is with the internet in general.

Ehh.. either way the BBA forum is behind me, and I'm focused on this one. Now I just gotta rake in some more members some how...

Ah yes. Shaman and I were speaking of this fact just days ago. Because immature members are getting involved in not only the BBA but other forums aswell including animals and mating, the notion of rape is shrugged off like an uncommon occurance. Such as pronouncing shortly in a profile that "my character was raped and so is angry at the world."
So now getting raped builds character >_> -le sigh-

Okay, I shall stop now aswell XD And work on spreading the word of the forum further. I've mainly just been sending word amongst friends whom are busy with life aswell but at least they've had a look around and may join.

I completely agree with everyone. Some of the people who come online just to get attention and think they're all that. It's a bit of a pain hearing the same old rant over and over again by the same person. Of course, I can be blamed for a bit of the latter.

The BBA is just an uncontroled mess. I would come and go every now and then there, but I never got attached to it like this site. With so many people, it's hard to know whos who. That's why I like this place. I won't join a site that has over 50 members, let alone 50, unless I'm already a member. Like here, I know who my friends are and such. ^^

Hell, I agree. I hate immature members, I've seen a hell of a lot of them and they piss me off. One of the worst I know frequents an african rpg I'm on, and seriously, the C- box is like:

"Can some one reply to my thread? Epesi? Dante? anyone? leah, no one's replied to my thread. Why will no one reply to my thread? Please? Can someone reply to my thread?"

I just keep quiet and ignore her... but... it really grates my nerves.Also, if you can't contemplate a wolf mating, and having pups, then don't join the forum! Personally, apart from the obvious fantasy (such as speech, and intelligence), I like most rp's to be pretty realistic. Mating is a fact of life. Deal with it kids.

I like this forum a lot. It's mature. Gotta good plotline. Decent members, who you can have a sensible chat with. No Tocksyc, I certainly don't think you're too strict. You're a good admin, and that's that. Bloodloss is one of my favourite forums, infact... joint first I beleive...
