//Rokk::

The pup was still young, but already he had a inexhaustible urge to explore and disobey. There had been times that the little Rokk had scampered away from his caretaker, even his mother. He wanted to see everything, experience everything he could. To him, "no" meant that it was going to be even more exciting and fun to go anyways. His brilliant emerald eyes shone with childish glee as he once again began to slither his way past his current keeper.

His tawny-orange body squirmed against the the ground as he pulled a 'mission impossible' ground crawl. This had worked many, many times before, and he believed it would work again. His small, dust hued ears were pulled tightly against his skull. Rokk was trying to make himself as small as possible. His rust tipped tail was tucked under his body as she slowly crept further and further away from his siblings and their keeper. Kamili had protested, as she always did, but at least she hadn't told on him.

The small tuff of long fur on his head hung slightly in his eyes as he kept looking back at the others, and also ahead of him. His plans could be ruined if he hit a rock and whimpered. They always sat in the same clearing, in the same area of the pack lands, and honestly he had seen it all. Also all the squirrel friends he had made had moved to different areas because of Bloodlet's grumpy attitude. He would get past that next area of grass. If he did, it would be the farthest he had ever gotten. The excitement of adventure was burning within him, nearly he had the urge to yip out in joy, but of course that would give him away..

Just a little further...

Alas, poor Rokk had Kuroda has his caretaker that day. The brown Omega was always willing to help out Breakbone, and watching the pups was always an exiting duty for Kuroda. Stories, tales, and of course, a few exagerations here and there. The wolf was lying, watching the pups romp and play on the Bloodback mountain. Ah, the perfect day it was. Whiteback hadn't caused any more trouble since the war, and even the Chicotah wolves down below seemed peaceful this afternoon.

But that was all to change. There was one pup missing! Sitting up, ears flicked and head snapped around. There was Rokk! The little devil. A small smile spread over his maw. Shifting on his paws, Kuroda stood, giving his pelt a good shake.

"Going off to fight Chicotah, are you?" the older male joked, not moving from his spot, but letting his rump hit the earth once more. "I think you're a little young, eh, Rokk? One's Breakbone and Avonaco would bite my tail off if I let you have an adventure and get hurt."

His tail thumped against the ground, the smile still there. Why was Rokk always the trouble maker? Always, it seemed! How Breakbone could deal with these little ones was beyond him.

Each new inch made his excitement grow. The small pup was all but shaking with energy. He had made it a few more inches then he had during prior escapades, but he was still far off from his farthest mark. His little butt wiggled as he slowly crept his way away from Kuroda, and his other siblings. He had nearly made it to where he had planned when he heard movement behind him. The shaking of fur was heard, and he knew he was caught.

Slowly he looked over his shoulder and gave a sheepish smile. "Busted... I know, but Kuroda I'm bored..." he replied as he turned around and began to walk back towards the bigger male. "The world is bigger then this clearing and eventually I will see it..." he stated with a sigh as he plopped back down next to Kamili again. He was sure she was chastising him, but he really wasn't listening to her. He was to busy coming up with another idea of how to escape the ever watching eyes of Kuroda... There had to be something...

"You would look funny without a tail you know.." he replied before avoiding a paw that Kamili had shot out at him as punishment for ignoring her. He pawed back in retaliation causing his sister to whimper in protest. He loved his sister. They didn't seem to get along to well sometimes, but it was all play and fun. He shot an annoyed glance at Kuroda, and conceded to wait patiently until he was replaced or he stopped paying attention again.

"So would you if Delgnat got ahold of you," retorted the older male. Kuroda could understand Rokk's boredom. He could hardly stand still now as it was! The energy was just building up. The same must be for the little pup trying to sneak off. Still, Breakbone would kill him if he left Bloodlet and Kamili alone while he took Rokk on a little adventure. Besides, he needed to stay here in case the One did come looking for him. Ah the dilema!

Kuroda flicked an ear, drawing himself out of his thoughts. Hopefully Rokk hadn't known he was off in his mind. "Listen, if you can be good and not run off until someone else gets here, I'll take you on an adventure when they do. Okay? We'll go explore the territory." Though not the Whiteback part of it.

The Whiteback pack had been quiet for some time now, but Kuroda would always be weary around them since Shadow's Death. He jsut hoped that wasn't what Rokk was curious about.

"And if Breakbone says it's okay, and if Pisca wants to come, we MIGHT be able to visit the Aryian wolves." Bloodback and Aryia were allies after all. There should be no quarrel with that.

Watching these antincs, yellow eyes narrowed in distain. Really, there was nothing more tiresome than his siblings... especially the little runt Rokk. Bloodlet snorted with contempt and turned away, looking to the horizon. One day this would be his pack... Bloodlet would make sure of it...

Bloodlet was a handsome fellow, with a tri- coloured coat, A light pastel- grey underbelly and lower jaw, a dark grey body, face and tail, and a black mane, running down his spine. His forelegs and hind feet were also black, and all together, these shades gave him a rather regal appearence. Well, he liked to think so anyway.

Now the grey head turned to watch his siblings, with their baby sitter.

Baby sitter

Ugh, Bloodlet hated that term. They were hardly babies... well, not Bloodlet anyway. His brother and sister acted like babies a lot... playing their insufferable little games...

His ears twitched in interest, as he heard Kuroda speak to Rokk.

"And if Breakbone says it's okay, and if Pisca wants to come, we MIGHT be able to visit the Aryian wolves."

Ahhh... so they were contemplating visiting the Aryian wolves... Well, Bloodlet was torn. A chance to observe the Aryians, but then he'd have to spend the day with his little... siblings... and their "Baby sitter"...

For now he sat... and waited...

The little creature fought with everything he had not to stick his tongue out at the older male. His paws twitched in anxiousness as he laid on the ground and pouted some. His grass green eyes noticing that Kuroda wasn't really paying attention again. The little trouble maker had been seconds away from getting up again and making a run for it, but the words of the male stalled him in place. His little tail pounded the ground at a steady pace as he looked up at Kuroda with a smile.

"Really? Alright! I'll behave but you have to promise." he stated, his head lifting of his paws and his tongue lolling excitedly out of his mouth. As much as Rokk didn't want to wait that long. The prospect of exploring with the promise of just the few feet he could gain himself was to good to pass up. Rokk's eyes strayed to his siblings, and he pawed at Kamili excitedly. Maybe she'd want to come too. He had always had a fondness for his sister, and he liked having her around. She didn't look at him like he was crazy for having ideas of exploring, and games.

Bloodlet on the other hand was mean to him. The meany treated him like he wasn't any better then the dirt he walked on. A near silent huff escaped the youth's lips. When his dust dipped ears caught the last of the older males words, he couldn't help jumping to his feet and tackling Kuroda with licks and nips littered with joy. "Thanks Kuroda your awesome!"

He hadn't expected much of a responce out of the pups. Yeah, excitement and even more energy, but Rokk tackling him and licking caught Kuroda by surprise. "Pup attack!" he barked out in laughter, rolling into his side with two paws waving high in the air. "Down, Rokk!" Laughing, the brown pelted Omega was silent for a moment.

"How about you, Bloodlet? Up for a trip to Aryia if your father agrees?" Kuroda tilted his head towards the other male, brooding in his own little non-existant corner.

"Hey, do you three know what happened just before your birth? With Whtieback?" Breakbone might not want them to hear this. If they hadn't heard it already, then there was a reason for it. Still, stories were his favorite past-time.

Bloodlet's cold eyes glanced at Rokk as he bowled the Omega over. He stiffled a sharp rebuke, but, he noticed quickly that Kuroda actually enjoyed playing with his hyperactive little brother. How pathetic, though Bloodlet silently...

His ears swivelled as Kuroda spoke to him.

"How about you, Bloodlet? Up for a trip to Aryia if your father agrees?"

Bloodlet was silent for a moment, thinking. Then, with great difficulty, he swallowed his pride and answered;

"Alright. Thank you Kuroda." he said stiffly. He would be polite, and accept the wolf's offer. It meant an irritating afternoon with Rokk and Kamali, but a welcome break away from the dens and a chance to observe the Aryian wolves.

Kuroda spoke again, inturrupting his thoughts.

"Hey, do you three know what happened just before your birth? With Whiteback?"

He smirked. The Omega was hinting at telling a story. It was obvious he wanted too. Bloodlet had heard parts of it, but not all of it, so, politely he replied;

"My memory is a little hazy. Please do, refresh it if you wish."

He regarded the brown Omega, concentrating on him, trying to ignore his brother and sister's foolish antics...

//pisca

The little Whiteback-made-Bloodback was out and about today, shedding his thick winter coat in rather itchy clumps and mats. he looked a little odd and unkempt, but then again, many were looking this way as they lost their thick underfur fro mthe winter. What parts that were already finished shedding, it showed how much he had grown already since last summer.
Thick muscles were developing in his legs and chest from the constant mountain climbing, and though still tiny compared to the pack, he had grown considerably above his Whiteback brothers from the large range of prey they had in their territory. Pisca was approaching his prime, and was starting to look the part of a fine, young Beta.
After rubbing against a tree, he moved on to familiar scents nearby: The pups.
Well, they weren't really pups so much anymore. Five or so months made them his size already, but they were still pups in the mind. hard to control sometimes, though.
he happen to walk up to the group just in time to hear Kuroda start telling something about the Whiteback history, and he got a bit of a frown upon his face.

"Kuroda, they don't need to know of bloodshed. They are raised with the Whitebacks to prevent that from happening again."

His own scars perhaps spoke louder than his words. yes, Kuroda had nearly lost his life as well defending Breakbone, but so had Pisca. The pink of the scar tissue about his neck had faded to a dull silver-pink, and his ear still flopped about uselessly like one of the Youkol mutts'.
He did give a warm greeting to them, though. A brief head-bump to Kuroda, anda nuzzle to each pup. Of course, he knew Bloodlet would probably try to get out of it. The large agressor didn't seem to like affection too much.

"What is this little gathering about? Going on an adventure with them, Kuroda? It is a good day to travel to Aryia and hunt in their forest."

Ahh, the thought of Aryian forest deer and elk made his mouth simply water. They were fat creatures, and fit, too. With so much vegitation, they grew large, and with so much land, they had plenty of space to travel. the Aryian forest offered herbs and wild roots the prey ate, as well, to flavor the meat deliciously. It was more of a treat to hunt Aryian prey than a necissity.

The femme was quiet most of the time, always thinking inside her head and watching the others, golden eyes already looking sharp at this age. She was smarter than her eldest gave her credit for, the only one that recognized her potential, on growing talent was her second eldest Rokk. She was closer to him then she was to Bloodlet. A soft sigh escaped her cream muzzle as she watched Rokk attempt to sneak away from the group. Her eyes drifted to their care taker Kuroda, and a small smug smile lit her expressions when she knew that her disobedient brother was caught.

Rokk, sulking, sat down next to her and she muttered a few words about his behavior but stopped talking realizing that he was indeed not listening. A rusty red, stone tipped paw lashed out at her brother but he easily evaded it. With a small scowl she looked away, bored. She knew how her brother felt being cooped up here, knowing that there was so much more outside the clearing. But rules were rules unfortunately.

Her brother suddenly pawed at her excitedly, and her rusty ears perked to the conversation only to hear Kuroda asking Bloodlet if he was up to a trip to Ariya. Excitement flooded through her body as a smile lit her face, her golden yellow orbs glittered. She hoped that her father would allow them to go, even though Bloodlet had to go.

Kuroda also mentioned something about a story and her gaze turned thoughtful, she was about to pipe up when Pisca, came into view and nuzzled each in turn. “We can handle the story,” her vocals were clear and strong looking at Pisca. They were pretty much his size, well her brothers were closer in height, she just happened to be the smaller one. ‘Why did being the youngest mean being the smallest?’ she thought to herself with a grumpy look in her eye.

Random this femora is when it came to her thoughts, but this femme would eventually learn to keep her thoughts from reaching her expressions, eventually. Kamili whirled her head to look at their Caretaker, “I can go too, right Kuroda?” she asked with her head tilting to the side, she really wanted to go, whether Bloodlet was going or not…but somehow knowing Pisca was going, along with Rokk it made it a little better, she would just have to ignore her eldest brother.

Rokk's tail was currently wagging fast enough to nearly lift him off the ground. Aryia. The world wasn't foreign to his dusty ears, but when no images came to mind, he knew he had never been there. The prospect was energizing. Not like he needed the extra energy boost as it were, but all the new sights, sounds, and scents were invigorating! After hopping off Kuroda and he had all four rusty hued paws planted firmly on the ground, did he catch what Kuroda was saying. He was inviting Bloodlet! But why? He never liked outings anyways, and he was down right mean to everyone. Silently Rokk simpered, but he was shocked even more when he heard Bloodlet agree to come.

'He's only going cause it benefits him... Joy.' the young pup thought to himself. The idea of whether their father would let them or not didn't bother Rokk.. Either that or it was the simple fact that he would still go anyways. No, just meant that there was something more interesting for him to see, that the grown-ups were hiding from him. No meant yes, and yes meant bring a snack. Or something to that effect.. "A story? Kuroda you have to tell us now!" the excited young pup begged as he lowered his upper half onto the ground as if begging.

Then another familiar voice broke through the thicket, and both of Rokk's ears stood at attention as he listened to Pisca speak. His ears went back onto his head as he heard that their story was possibly ruined. "Oh come on Pisca. Please?" Rokk pleaded. He'd heard bits and pieces from his time sneaking around the pack lands, but he had always hoped to hear the whole story one day.

At Pisca's evaluation Rokk snickered. He straightened himself out and scampered over closer to Pisca. "Nah.. He's our keeper for the moment.. But he promised he'd ask dad if we could go to Aryia. Maybe if you say your coming to he'll let us go." he reasoned. His green eyes pleaded with Pisca to say yes, and the small bit of extra fur hung over his right eye momentarily.

The brown Omega laughed. "Sure you can Kamali. If Breakbone says it's alright." Ears flicked and head dipped towards the Beta. Kuroda smiled, shoulders lifting in a small shrug. "Nothing too bloody, I assure you, Beta Pisca. It's only fair they know the history of their father and his Beta's bravery during a rough time. Besides, they're interested in it. If you want, you can stay and listen as well. Stop me if it gets too bad for your tastes."

He paused. All three pups were ready for the adventure to Aryian lands. And even Pisca seemed interested. Giving his head a quick shake, a grin spread over his maw. "It could be a story for the travel. You'd come with, right Pisca? See Cronic and Vette maybe. Even Rouch. Maybe Breakbone will come along too, if he's up to it. Could be a nice little trip. A defiante learning experience."

Eyes pleaded with a hint of humor in them. There was no way Pisca could say no to all three pups. The grin toned with to a smirk, but it was still there. His mind was reeling with the story he would tell the pups. Certain parts edited for young ears, of course. Would make the trip seem a lot shorter than it actually was. "Please, Pisca? I already caught Rokk trying to sneak off. If they don't do something someone's going to lose some sanity."

Beta Pisca had perhaps the best humor of the whole pack, but he was also careful of whos' paws he was going to step on. All three were pleading for his word, even the Omega!

"Breakbone wouldn't come with us these days..." Sadness lingered in his tone, but he was quick to get rid of it as he shook himself and relaxed.
Jaws parted and he panted lightly.

"Alright, let us all go. As Beta I will allow it for learning experiances only. You took part in the battle too, brave Kuroda, so yes, you also may tell the tale."

Although he relived that day every moment in his mind, he hoenstly wanted to hear it again, from the view of another rather than form his own eyes. He wanted to know what Kuroda experianced as he came near his own death.
Before he turned, Pisca looked at the three pups, sternly and seriously.

"Listen carefully to the tale, pups. It is what happen in this tale that allows you to live today peacefully and freely with our sister pack, Whiteback. This is no fantasy or naptime story. It is history, why I bare the scares on my neck, why your father sulks, why Kuroda is quickly earning my previous rank - the most respected Omega."

He stared at them a moment longer, especially at Bloodlet, to let it sink in before he would turn and trot south towards the forest below them.

(Sorry, I'll get to it now ^^)

Bloodlet

Bloodlet watched everthing with silent interest. Bloodlet was always watching, learning. Someone had to, when everyone else was playing childish games. After all, as future alpha in waiting, it would be his job to lead the pack one day, once his father was out of the way, or so he thought.

His muzzle twitched slightly in distain as he watched his younger brother and sister begging frantically for the story to be told. Pitiful really, the way they fawned over Kuroda. Pathetic, still over grown puppies.

The stocky shape of the Beta appeared shortly, clearly amused at his siblings antics. Pisca gave them a quick lecture on why the pups didn't need to know of such bloodshed, before finally relenting to their pleas. Then, he granted them permit for their little journey to Aryia.

"Breakbone wouldn't come with us these days... said Pisca sadly. Hmmm, no, thought Bloodlet, he would not. Too self absorbed to spend any time with his offspring. Bloodlet despised sulking. Well, Bloodlet despised most things, he wasn't an especially tolerant person.

"Alright, let us all go. As Beta I will allow it for learning experiances only. You took part in the battle too, brave Kuroda, so yes, you also may tell the tale. Listen carefully to the tale, pups. It is what happen in this tale that allows you to live today peacefully and freely with our sister pack, Whiteback. This is no fantasy or naptime story. It is history, why I bare the scares on my neck, why your father sulks, why Kuroda is quickly earning my previous rank - the most respected Omega."

Pisca looked at his siblings sternly, before turning to Bloodlet and giving him that same, degrading look. Bloodlet had to stop himself from glaring back, as he realised, showing his irritation was not very wise, considering Pisca was so powerful in the ranks. Perhaps that would change, when Bloodlet took control...

Pisca turned and started to trot down the slope, towards the forest. Standing regally, Bloodlet began to follow in a stately manner. So, Aryia here we come...? It would be interesting, to say the least...
