Snow covered the land, leaving ovious trails as to where everyone in the lands traveled. The leaves were all but gone off the trees, blanketed in the white powder. And even now, Chicotah looked close to an empty land with no life. That bastard Envy hadn't been doing his job again. Delgnat let out a low growl as he paced the edge of his lands himself. Fresh snow had fallen only the night before, leaving little to no marks in the substance. Aryia wouldn't attack now. No pack in their right mind would lanuch an attack with less food and a weary pack. And this pissed off the alpha even more. Only a handful of the members from before were left, two exhiled. With the snow here, it only made things harder. Oh how he wished the twins were stupid enough to come back and try to bring him down. He had so much anger to release.

Taking a deep breath to try to calm himself down, with little results, the brown male stopped, claws digging into the firmer packed snow beneath his paws. So many different thoughts drifted through his mind. How to get the pack in order. Taking revenge on Aryia. Bloodback. He needn't worry about the dogs. Even Envy could take one of them down. But Bloodback would back up their Aryian allies. Chicotah needed more loyal members. Good fighters. Not lazy good for nothing scouts who couldn't even get their job done! Delgnat would need to speak to Senka about that one. There was no way he could trust Envy after the idiot almost sided with Kein.

Picking up walking again, head down and ears perked, the alpha male continued his self-given border check. He felt sorry for the first moron that crossed his path now. Well, actually, he didn't feel sorry for anyone at the moment. Bloodpack had pups. They would grow in ranks. Aryia had more members. What did he have? An Alphess who wanted nothing to do with him, a joker who took nothing seriously, a warrior, and a wolf that rarely showed! Chicotah was growing weak. Even the birds made fun of his pack. Something had to be done.

//dark death//

Hmm... perhaps now was a good time to make his appearance to the pack with such little members and dwindling power. The wolf snickered to himself as he trotted carelessly into the heart of the territory, following the scent of the Alpha he knew so well, yet had never once met.

In a few spots the snow was deeper than he would have thought and he would sink into it up to his chest, and then struggled to get out of it like a fish flopping to get back into water. Damn winter. Such a stupid season. Snow? Who needed it! All it did was make paws cold and water freeze. he didn't bother making himself quiet while trudging through the white powder, until he came near Delgnat, anyway. See if he could sneak upon this killer as he had snuck around him for two years already.

Each step now was taken carefully and slowly. The snow didn't crunch at all below him as he distributed his weight evenly. Dark colors and striped patterning upon his coat made him blend into the shadows perfectly, as well as al lthe twigs and branches that had fallen under the weight of ice and snow.
finally he would come right behind the alpha. The wind was still, so he didn't worry about his scent carrying more swiftly than usual.

"Oh, look how your pack has dwindled now," He suddenly chirped, standing there behind him as if he had been there for a while, relaxed, but still ready to leap if the other lunged for him. "Sad excuse of a pack, more like it. Perhaps Aryia should just go ahead and wipe you off this earth like they first intended to. no one would notice at this point." Snicker.

That would sting.

Ears twitched at the voice. Delgnat snapped around, a snarl leaving his throat and lips drawn back to expose his fangs. How dare this sad excuse for a wolf make fun of his pack?! Sure, it wasn't in the best of stages right now, but even so, Delgnat wouldn't let anyone tear this pack apart with words. And to give Aryia good words on Chicotah land? That was the last straw.

"Watch what you say, mutt." This wolf held no scent of any pack. Now, this would end up being fun. Delgnat pulled his ears back, his blue eyes never leaving the one standing in front of him. He was itching to dig his fangs into something other than rabbits and squirrels. "Why do you tresspass on Chicotah soil? You're not a member of this pack." Senka would have told him if she let any wolf into the pack. Delgnat was, somewhat, sure on that one.

The fur along the back of his neck was standing on end, a low growl rumbling in his throat. So, the male in front of him wasn't an Aryia idiot or one of the twins. Delgnat could still get some entertainment out of killing this one.

He cocked his head at the word 'mutt'. Yes, he was a mutt, but still part of Chicotah, like the brother they had tried to starve after birth, yet he survived. Scraggly and flea-bitten, but still alive.

"I don't tresspass. This land is rightfully mine as it is anyone else in it. I guess you don't remember my parents." He shrugged slightly. "Don't remember if it was you or the old One that drove them out. Either way, I am of Chicotah blood."

He ploped himself down with a little thump. Dark Death was smaller than most chicotah. not quite as small as the twins were, but still small. Yet, he seemed to be confident. For a moment he chewed on a haunch where a flea bit and caused a stinging itch. once that was taken care of, he turned his attention back to the alpha, anything but scared of the One, even with his rep.

"I came, though, to offer assistance. If you would hear me, I could almost let you walk into Aryia and take it as yours. There are advantages of never being tied to a pack, you know." he grinned a bi lop-sidedly. This one didn't seem all there in the head, or maybe he had just been alone too long, and forgot how to socialize properly.
"Get to wander from place to place and watch how the work, eh? I also see who goes where when they leave... like how the twins ran to Aryia to tell them about your plans."

The grin grew, then he tilted his head again. "Oh, I guess you didn't know? Yes, they have been there for some time. The Aryians will be expecting you when you move out to the kill. Ah-hah! Once again Chicotah would be defeated if you went without my help, oh great One."

His slightly curled tail brushed the ground and the melting snow away, showing green spring grass below it. Spring would be a perfect time to win back Aryia.

What?! Those no good flea bitten scraps of meat went telling his plans to Aryia?! The growl turned into a full blown snarl as Delgnat turned, stalked a few paces, then turned and stalked back towards this wolf that was Chicotah, yet he had never seen before. He could use assistance in finding out the plans of the Aryian wolves, expecially that no good Cronic and his sidekick Rouch. Maybe he could use this wolf for his advantage. Still, there was the possibility of this male being a double agent.

Eyeing the wolf in front of him with suspicion, Delgnat already had plans working their way into his mind. Aryia had never actually seen Envy or Wrath, so would they know the sons of the One of Chicotah if they were to show? Scent would give them away. Hm. The twins would know Envy and Wrath as well. That plan was out the window. Unless, yes. That might work. Forcing back the smirk that was trying so hard to settle across his maw, the ranking wolf flicked an ear.

"You'd work as a spy for me? Revealing everything you knew about the Aryian wolves no matter what threats that idiot Cronic or the beta Rouch say?" He paused, slightly waiting for an answer before he continued. "I don't trust you, wolf. I don't even know your name. But I swear to whatever watches over this land, if I as much as hear that you've been spreading any sort of rumor about Chicotah anywhere, I will personally rip out your throat and spill yuor guts from here to the mountains. Understand?"

Delgnat hadn't even given him a definate answer about heading over to the lands the twins had visited. This wolf could go get himself killed for all the One cared. He wanted Aryia as his, most definately. And Delgnat would use any tool he could.

Dark had a feeling that would unsettle him quite a bit, and why not? Delgnat had worked so hard to get where he was, all just for the twins to go an unravel his plans and lay them out before the Aryians like a strewn out buck. It seemed wrong even to him, a known betrayer. Exiles had some sort of honor usually, he despised these two just about as much for having none.

His steady gaze was locked on the One as he thought things over, not one little ounce of fear showed, still hardly any respect. But, a wide, fanged grin came to his maw when finally he agreed, and his jaws parted with a pant of happiness. He would finally be a part of something.

"I would spy for you. I will do anything you wish of me on one condition."

He stood, shaking his rump of the light snow.

"Promise me a place in the pack and I will do your every bidding. I want to be part of the pack I didn't have the choice in being banished from. I want to be home, where I belong."

In some odd way, he still sseemed like a yearling with such a yearning to belong somewhere, but who could blame him? The life of a Stranger, of a Loner, was no life at all. There was no love, no socializing, nothing to challenge, no order. One was left with only their thoughts and the chattering birds that spoke of nothing but gossip.
His dark eyes lingered on Delgnat for a moment before he spoke again.

"You have the word of Dark Death, One Delgnat. But if we are to act, we must do it fast before they can come up with something to counter the plan. I would advise you to discuss it with One Senka."

He had no idea if Senka was the One or not anymore. he assumed so, whether they were mates or not.

A simple condition it was for a wolf who might meet his end as soon as he stepped paw over the boundaries. Delgnat nodded. This would be an easy price to pay for a spy on Aryian lands. And once me found those two exiled traitors, there would be more than just Aryian bodies to dispose of.

The One snorted at the mere mention of the female's name. Senka would disagree with anything he even brought up, just to start an argument. He remained where he was, one ear twitching in thought. "Since Senka needs to put her imput on this (no matter how much it angered him to ask her), then I'll call her here and you can explain to her what is going on and your plans." His tail flicked to show there would be no argument. "And your position in the pack shall be spy, since that is what you will be."

OOC: Bah. Short.

The striped wolf nodded slightly, watching curiously and half-mindedly.
He wouldn't tell Delgnat his doubts of the plan, his doubts of their very victory. He knew things others didn't, and that was all that was important to him, that, and being part of the pack again.
"I have heard the Birds gossiping about the Prophecy, One Delgnat." He cocked his head, curious if the wolf had even heard of it before. "It is starting to come true. Whiteback and Bloodback fulfulled part of it already, and if we are to attack the Aryians, another piece will be completed."
His eyes steadily watched Delgnat. Certainly he had heard of it. It was the talk of the birds now, that's all he heard about. "Prophecy this" or "Prophecy that". An amused grin came to his maw.
"After we come out victorious, there is supposed to be another darkness that comes to us from the waters. Chicotah will see much blood and death. What joy~"

His tail thumped against the ground, then he lifted his gaze to look around for Senka. If she was One, shouldn't she have come by now? A Stranger's scent was never welcome, and she was a notorious bitch who he actually feared.

"I wonder if Senka knows? It's exciting, it is!"

Exciting? That was one word Delgnat would not have associated with the chat. Annoying, maybe. But definately not exciting. The male rolled his blue eyes before lifting his maw to the tree tops and letting out a call for Senka. Ih how much he seemed to be doing that lately, calling for the bitch. She must be getting great joy from watching his pride slowly go down the drain.

"Prophecy or not, Chicotah will be victorious. And once we have taken Aryia, no wolf, not even a new darkness, will be able to run the pack off of it's lands." The cold look he gave Dark Death dared the young wolf to argue. Delgnat was confident of his pack, more than he probably should be.

The One sighed, lifting a hind leg to scratch at an itch. "If she knows, then it takes less explinaning on anyones part. And a lot less anoyance for me." Where was she? Great. Even he was getting edgy by waiting for the female.
