Braveheart had pretty much been in a daze the entire time. He lazily watched as Starpaw climbed up the tree and attempted to catch the thrush. Suddenly she jumped up into the air, and immediately started to crash back down to the ground. Braveheart watched in horror, too fear-stricken to move. As Starpaw fell, she reached out and grabbed a branch, stopping her from plummeting any further. He breathed a sigh of relief as she made her way back down. He smiled a bit as she made her revenge on the thrush, killing it swiftly. "I'm glad you're okay, Starpaw." he meowed. "Nice catch, by the way." ((XDD That sucked.)) -------------------- .:Random News:.

Starpaw nodded respectfully--which wasn't like her-- and stood up. "This is nice and all," she meowed, her voice gaining it's sarcastic tone instantly. "But are we going to do any battling. This is getting quite boring."

Shadowstripe shook his head. "This is a patrol of the borders as well as a hunting patrol. We can do battling another time. Now come on, the faster we patrol, the faster we can get to battle training," The deputy trotted along the border at a pace that they could keep up.

Starpaw let out a bored yawn, but nodded anyway and followed her mentor. "Which border are we going to go to first?" she meowed.

Shadowstripe flicked his tail at the rest of the patrol. "WindClan border first," he replied curtly. He sighed internally. Starpaw was proving to be a hassle to train; she wouldn't listen to anyone else. So stubborn, he mused. She reminds me of myself. Shadowstripe surpressed the grin that was trying to form on his face, keeping his features expressionless. "Let's go." He started off at a steady trot, his long legs making the movement easy. He knew the apprentices would have to perform a slow run to keep up, but he doubted Starpaw would mind. Or if she did, she wouldn't complain. Shadowstripe chanced a glance over his shoulder as he leapt over a treeroot.
