As we have 125 cannons that need to be filled, we are accepting only cannons right now. We are an intermediate, short app, Match the word count Role Play Group. Please register with your characters First and Last name Properly capitalized (ex. Jane Johns). We are also one of the first sites where you the players get to pick the plot!

Set in the beautiful Ozark Mountains is a large sprawling school. This is Black Oak Riding Academy, one of the top riding school's in the world. People who have trained her have gone on to win the Olympics, train with the Spanish Riding School, work in films, and had the means to pursue jobs in any field where equestrian training and knowledge was necessary. So do you have what it takes to train with the best, compete with the best, and be the best?

In order to make sure that everyone is involved with the game, we are going to have a monthly plot contest.

Explanation

Basically, every RPG needs a plot or we all walk around picking our noses and looking goofy. Everyone of course has their own Ideas for their characters, however the game itself needs plots as well. It is with this in mind that I have created the plot contest.

What is the Plot Contest?

The Plot Contest happens once a month, and helps us decide on a new plot.

How does it work?

Each person comes up with no more than three different plot points. The group then votes on which three they like the best. The mods and myself then retreat into our chamber of solitude where we figure out how to link the three plots together. We then come forth and tell you the plot for the month. We play that plot for a month, a week before the end of the month if we are not done with the plot we then take a vote to see if we want to continue with the plot. If not then we pick another, if we do then we wait till the next month to vote.

Note: Plots can only go on for three months.

Sounds, confusing can I get an example?

Of course, what kind of Admin would I be if I didn't give an example ^^

Ok say you wanna submit a plot here's what you do...

Go to the thread, and post your plot points like so...

Plot Point One: All the Horses in the school break Away

Plot Point Two: A huge fire sweeps the town of Black Ridge

Plot Point Three: Several small children are found sleeping in a tree

(It's late sue me)

Alright so then let's say your post wins, first congratulations! I knew you had it in you all along!

Ok so in addition to you plot getting chosen to play with you also get your name up on the scroll!

Alright, so now my mods and myself would retreat into our inner quail sanctum, and figure out how this would work. Then we would post the new plot in the plot section.

Ex: (you would see this in the plot section under something along the lines of "Plot for July") Several small children decide to sleep in a tree, but a freak rain storm comes up and soaks them all so they have to seek shelter, one tries to start a fire and it soon blazes out of control and terrifies the horses and they all escape.[color]

So that's what we would be playing. o_0 Did I mention it was late?

[color=blue]Wait, it looks like the story is already written...

Ok seriously, if you think this, go away. I really don't wanna talk to you no more. OF COURSE THE STORY ISN'T WRITTEN YET!!! Who are the small children? How does your character deal with the fact that the town is in flames? Why didn't the rain that drove the urchins from the damn tree also stop the fire? You get the point there are several things that could happen here. Just use your imagination!

Well, ok, but I really don't want to play with this. Can I play something else?

Of course! This is just the main plot. If you want your character to go and do something else go straight ahead, just be mindful of what's going on. (e.i. if all the town is in flames your character can't sit at the yogurt shoppe and wait for James Dean to show up or whatever).

Holy rusted horseshoes Batman! We have a tie! Now What?

Yay! A tie, so then we would retreat into our happy place and figure out Two plots lines, and their would be two plots to fallow instead of one.

Wait, JoBob over there has like fifty characters, of course his plot is always gonna win! Can I vote more than once?

Nope, if JoBob over their has fifty characters then looks like for this month we'll be hunting fairies in tutus made of lemon sugar. If you want to do something about it make a new character. However, if I catch anyone making a whole mess of new characters just to tip the voting scales, I will remove all of you characters and you will get warned at least 25%. I'm not fooling!

It should be noted at this time that if you do have fifty characters and you are continually getting to make all the plots I will ask you to take a step back and refrain from posting plot for a little bit...unless of course I like them ^^

Ok, this is all cool, but are there any rules?

Oh yeah you bet your sweet honey buns there are some rules! And look, how convenient, here they are!

1) Please remember only three plot points per post.

2) Only one post from each account (i.e. I can post once for Ross, Melanie, and Edmund)

3) If you are going to use other characters in you plot points please get their oks before you mention it. Because as much fun as it would be to see Mary get stomped to death by bunnies that dress in drag and do the hula, I'll take it to the bank Mary's owner is gonna be ill at you over that suggestion.

4) That being said, you cannot use these plot points to kill anyone, but you own characters off.

5) If you want to cause damage to my town, please ask me first. The same goes for if you want to destroy someones particular store.

6) While random plots are fun to try to connect together please be at least somewhat logical. You cannot have a volcano erupting and killing everyone but the students in the stallion dorm. A) there are no volcanos in Arkansas, that I know of, and B ) you can't kill anyone. Seriously though just use common sense when making your plot points please.

7) While pretty much anything goes as far as plot points go, please keep in mind that the best plots always move forward, and advance the game in some way. In other words, please don't randomly have several important characters wandering around in the woods bitching at eachother, unless there is a point.

8) This is still a "real world" game,in other words, don't expect that if the school goes on a ghost haunt they will find anything.

Alright that's all I can think of for right now if you have any questions. Please ask me!
