~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Alpha Male and Alpha Female -These are the heads of the pack. They are in charge of everything and should be consulted if one wishes to join the pack. They are very proud wolves and usually don't put up with disobedience amongst their pack. Usually they are the only ones who breed but if others with to breed as well they can confront the Alpha's and ask for permission to do so. Beta Male and Beta Female -This rank is second in command and help the Alphas when is needed. They are in charge of making sure everyone is doing their jobs and who aren't. They consult with the Alpha's regularly and give them updates about what's going on in the pack. Guardian -This rank is usually one of the most skilled ranks of the pack. They can hunt, spy, fight, steal and care for anyone in the pack. They have the ability of most ranks though still follow the Alpha and Beta. They help the Beta's keep the other members in line. They are like the Beta's Beta and are usually mates. Guard - These wolves or dogs are deathly loyal to the alpha or Alphess of the pack. They usually only follow what one or the other says and stick by them until the Alpha tells them to go off and do something else. Their purpose is to keep their chosen leader safe. Aside from the Beta's of the pack, these wolves/dogs are known to be fast friends with their leader. Too bad it is usually only one. Elder *Conteur* -This wolf/dog is the oldest and wisest of the pack. These wolves/dogs absolutely adore the young ones and are often around them. Being of their age they have thousands of stories to tell these young ones. Though these old wolves cannot do much, they are often one of the more looked up to of wolves. Hence their title, they are known for storytelling and never tire of telling them. Often others come to them for a break from the real world and to be caught in their tales, however fictional or true they may be. These wolves/dogs have usually been mateless all their lives, seeking out all younger wolves as their own children. Point -At first glance or notice of this rank one my think it is not a very special rank at all, but looks and words can be very misleading. Abbreviate point and you get pt. Explain this and you can get Professional Trainer. That is exactly what this wolf/dog is. This wolf works with the Trainee's of the pack. This wolf/dog is filled with honor and pride, one of the most loyal wolves/dogs of the pack. This wolf/dog acts like a military Major Officer. Pushing their Trainees to the fullest and to the best they can possibly be. Never cross this wolf though, they aren't the most forgiving if you goof off in one of the lessons, either to give you more or completely throw you out all together. Have it be night or day this wolf/dog will howl for its student and get them up and working in a matter of minutes. This wolf/dog will train them for a few minutes to a good full day. It all depends on the pupils and their moods. Chief Raider -This wolf/dog leads the Raiders into other packs. They are the ones who arrange small battles with enemy packs to hopefully weaken the opposing pack. Larger battles are held by the Alpha pair. Chief Hunter -The head hunter leads the pack hunts when the Alpha's tell them too. They make sure the pack is well fed and doesn't go hungry. They also make sure the pack has a well balanced diet. Raiders -These wolves/dogs take orders from the Chief Raider. They go into other packs and fight or steel a member for ransom. Also, they follow the Alpha if there is to be a war or large fight. Hunter *Scavenger* -They follow the Alpha or Chief Hunter in the hunts. They are very loyal and are quick to take commands. They are fast and strong and able to take down large game while working together. Scout *Spy* -These wolves/dogs go into other packs territories and figure out what's going on. They then report back to the Alpha and tell them everything that they saw. Even if it's just that pups have been born. They report to the Chief Raider if they were asked to find wolves on their own for fights, or they report to the Alpha pair. However, these wolves/dogs are not the ones who would socialize but get right into the heart of the meetings and dig up the best of dirt. Wrangler -This rank can have many different tasks to accomplish. More often than not they are the ones to get out of the territory to scope out those wolves/dogs of pure heart living the loners/stray's or pet life. These wolves/dogs have a heart filled with the need wonder far off and explore what is around their own home lands. They can and will spend a great deal of time away from the pack but in one call they will turn their path and head on back home. They often travel within their group for extra protection. Often these wolves/dogs become the best of friends and the wolves who know the most about the bordering packs. They do come home and report of their findings. Much like a spy only they will be out for more than just a few days. Making their 'vacation' up to months at a time. They are not pets and usually will never have a mate. Nanny *Watcher* -Usually a female. They watch over the pups, have them be loners or pack wolves/dogs. They make sure they don't wander off or get hurt. When the mother is off for food she will keep them preoccupied and often take them to an elder for a story if she wishes to. Tutor *Trainer* -These wolves/dogs work with the Nanny that looks after the pups. They spend their time teaching the pups all they need to know about pack life. Patroller -These wolves/dogs are in charge of the packs boarders. They are usually the first to greet a loner or stray. They usually are the first to see danger. They are cunning and good at sneaking through high bushes to keeping hidden if needed. Subordinate *Newcomer* -Just the starting rank for all new wolves. It is from here they must prove themselves and find a rank most suiting. If they fail to do so they shall be demoted to Omega or left as a subordinate. If they step out of line in a drastic way, they could find death or be kicked out of the pack. Yearling *Trainee* - When a pup gets to be a year of age, they will be considered a yearling unless they have already proven themselves otherwise. If the pack has it, these wolves/dogs will be considered Trainee's. These rascals are of the young bloods. Ranging from ages up to about three these wolves are in constant training to be of the fastest runners, most precise shadow walkers, best killers and even some of the greatest of wolves in the art of agility. This is similar to a military camp. Never will they know when they will be called out or when they will be allowed to head off and due their own thing. Their Point can be one unpredictable character and a strict one at that. To fail this position is to fail on your quest for a higher rank. Pup -Pups will stay pups until a year of age then they can earn their popper rank. Omega *Maggot* -The lowest rank possible. Usually given if a wolf/dog has done something seriously wrong or stupid. They are often picked on and are the very last to eat. Recruit *Captive* -These wolves/dogs are the ones that have been captured by other packs to make their own. Usually it's only the Rork and Roadalino Packs that take others to mold them into evil, blood thirsty wolves. They are ranked under every pack member until they prove their worth.
