Hi...Just starting the ball rolling here
Are there any musical Billywiggers out there??
What do you play? Can you sing? Can you songwrite? Or write lyrics?
Has anyone got their own band? Has anyone thought about starting up a Wrock band?

Ok, I'll start
- I can play percussion, basic drums (very basic) & play keyboard but only 'by ear' (all by my own experimentation) - I can sing, have had lessons but not fantastic - Can't write music (I was hopeless at music theory, hence I play percussion ) but - I can write lyrics. I have had music added to stuff I have written (not Wrock) but only after seeing a musical friend
- Don't have a band - Once fantasized about being part of a Wrock band

I was in a few bands in my career. I was the loud person up the back on drums. My most successful band was called Foolish Games, hence my nickname becoming Foolish Paul. I have a small recording studio, called Foolish Games Studios. I write, record and produce my own music as well as other artists' music and music video clips. I used to sing in the band but I haven't done so in such a long time, I've probably lost that skill by now. I currently have 30-40 songs waiting for lyrics as I can write and record the music quite easily but struggle with lyrics. I haven't really thought much about Wrock but I'll have to see if I can write some of that as well...
This is a pic of me on my beloved drums in a pro studio (not my sudio)...

But I don't play the trumpet...
And yes, you have to concentrate in the studio. It is quite different than playing live with a band. In that studio, each band member was in a differnt room and we all monitored the music via headphones. But rather than a look of concentration, in that case it was more like a look of "when will this end" as I was drumming with a dislocated finger. I have video of when I dislocated it as well. I said a naughty word when I did it...

I'm a singer.
Have been in choirs since I was a youngun. Trained as a Soprano but as puberty kicked in was trained as an Alto. Can switch between the two with ease so am nicknamed a 'rover'.
Music is the language of the soul!

Hey, me too Ally (I don't like confessing to all the choir stuff, so not into it now! And I don't do the church thing anymore either) I was a soprano and an alto, (I'm technically a mezzo soprano) also did backup singing. Then trained in more contemporary singing styles. Now I'm blowing my trumpet... I should rename this the "Blow Your Own Trumpet" thread!

As patches said I teach guitar. I've been playing guitar for 10 years. Just played for about 3 years then started stydying music properly after that. I have an advanced diploma in music, it's the only thing I know how to do. I have some songs but heaps of half writtens and ideas, none of them wrock though. But with wrock songs all having the same theme lyrics shouldn't be hard, it be fun to do as a group. If we've got altos and mezzo sopranos here, Id be interested in doing something cos my fav music is symphonic/ power/ progressive metal. We could record stuff n send it back n forth.
