Formation

The name of our club shall be Billywigs' Southern Wizarding Alliance.

The original founders of Billywigs' Southern Wizarding Alliance are Severus Snape and Tonks.

Mission

Billywigs' Southern Wizarding Alliance is not affiliated in any way with JK Rowling or Warner Bros., or its subsidiaries.

Billywigs' Southern Wizarding Alliance does not discriminate on the basis of gender, religion, physical or mental handicap, sexual orientation, race, nationality or ethnicity.

Members are not restricted to Billywigs' Southern Wizarding Alliance only, and are encouraged to become members with other Harry Potter Fan Clubs also.



Membership Requirements - Online

Membership is open to everyone, over the age of 13 years. Billywigs' Southern Wizarding Alliance is limited to members aged 13 and over only, and the boards are rated 13+. All members are allowed access and use of Billywigs' Southern Wizarding Alliance forum.

Membership Requirements - Costuming and Social Events

Attendance at official and social events is open to everyone over the age of 16 years, unless accompanied by a parent/guardian.

Rules For Board Usage

While it is hoped that no member be subjected to the Cruciatus (banning) Curse or the Killing (expulsion) Curse and removed from Billywigs' Southern Wizarding Alliance, it is prudent to have measures in place should the need arise. If any member of the group feels that another member should be banned or expelled, that person is encouraged to approach any Professor they feel comfortable approaching with his/her complaint. The complaint must be in writing and delivered via owl, email, or written letter to the Teaching Staff. The Professor receiving the complaint must present the complaint to the Teaching Staff, who may choose to deal with trivial issues themselves. The Teaching Staff will forward more serious allegations to the Headmaster or Deputy Headmistress and the Teaching Staff will begin an investigation and discussion of the complaint; determining the best course of action.

The intentional 'flaming' or derogative posts on Billywigs' Southern Wizarding Alliance forums directed towards other member/s will not be tolerated. The Teaching Staff will handle such complaints and if proven, the responsible member shall be banned from the forum for a period ranging from 1 day to permanency, depending on the severity of the offence. The Headmaster, Deputy Headmistress and Teaching Staff reserve the right to edit/delete/move or alter any post they consider offensive, abusive or inappropriate.

Conduct that justifies expulsion includes the following:

- engaging in any illegal activity while posting or indicating illegal acitivities.
- enticing members into confrontation, aggression or trolling.
- multiple banning from Billywigs' Southern Wizarding Alliance forum.
- threatening another member with physical violence or posting in a sexual manner with regards to another member on the forums.
- harrassing or stalking another member via owl, email, phone, PM, instant messenger, or written letter.
- repeated unsolicited sexual advances toward another member.
- abusive language is forbidden. Many words have been prefiltered, but be aware of what is acceptable. As a guide, any word appearing in any of the seven published Harry Potter books is considered acceptable on this board.
- posting while intoxicated will not be accepted.

The Headmaster, Deputy Headmistress reserve the right to and will call in local law enforcement officers to enforce these rules if required.
