- "Well, my sister's a ship. We had a complicated childhood."

"Ariel" when he stands up to the arresting officer. Every time someone paints Simon as a coward, I have to wonder if they've even watched that scene.

Pretty much all of his coversation with Jubal Early was great; and much like the scene Ertia pointed out in Ariel it's hard to call Simon a coward when attacks Early despite being unarmed, and goes after Early again despite having Early put a bullet in him.

Likewise, he has some great moments with Jayne: "My God, you're like a trained ape ... without the training." His reaction the Jayne statue was nice too.

I love the line from Jayne's Town:
"This must be what going mad feels like"

The speech he gives Jayne when Jayne's on his operating table - I forget it all. Basically tells Jayne he'll always take care of him as a doctor. The perfect set-up for River's "Also, I can kill you with my brain."

In the movie, when he's shot and he calls out for River. "I hate to leave."

And of course, from Safe: "Light it."

As for Simon as a coward, in the very first episode we see Simon's action-man status when he jumps off the catwalk to tackle Dobson.
