Tell Us About Your Roleplay Past/Abilities:I started RPing (text-based online) on a site called The Sun's Shadows when I was 12. (FYI- 17 now). When it was deleted, I tried to make one. That failed. I've jumped around since, trying to find an active RP with a storyline I liked. I finally found one called Lost in Serenity and that's where I heard about this from a member there called Grav.

If you could 'cast' the role of your OC, who would play the part: It's hard to know, cause there aren't a lot of actor that look like Zira... When I created her, I had Zoe in mind, but she has a few differences from her. I don't know that many actors either. I guess if I had to choose, it would be Carrie-Anne Moss. She has the right attitude and I can see her having fun in this role.

Sorry about the long winded-ness there...

What ship/location do want to be assigned to(or are you looking to Captain a vessel?): When it's there, I hope to join up with Grav's boat.


Character Name: Zira Griffon (pronounced Ziiii-ra, not Ze-ra)

Age (the character, not the actor/actress): 20


Detailed Physical Description (2 paragraphs): She has short, shoulder length black hair with a hint of red showing through. She has green eyes as well. Her clothes are a pair of brown breeches and a green shirt. Kind of Robin Hood-esk in that. She wears black boots for her shoes.

A pistol is on her left hip as she is a righty. Her fingernails are short, and she hates them long. Hidden in the fold of her shirt is a simple necklace with a ring on it. The ring was from her dad before he was killed.


Detailed Personality(1-2 paragraphs): She holds much in reserve, especially when it comes to strangers. She's not a person to come by trust easily, but when she does, it's well worth the time it took to get it. She's also sarcastic a lot of the time.

Zira's quiet about her past as well, not really telling anyone about what happened to her. However, she's friendly towards kids and often listens to what they have to say.

Her current goal in life is to find the people that killed her father and bring them to justice.


Detailed History(2 paragraphs): Zira was born on Athens, raised there by both her parents until her dad was killed by Alliance Soldiers. Her mother raised her then as best she could. She doesn't really know why her dad was killed. However, when she was coming home one time from the hills around her home, she spotted the soldiers, hid, and saw her dad answer the door. What happened next is something she hasn't yet come to terms with and probably never will.

At age 18, she left home and tried to make it out on her own. She didn't get all that far until she got into trouble at the spaceport on Athens. Quickly getting out of there, she drifted for a time, trying to hone her skills at shooting.

She ended up spending a year or so on the border worlds, trying to learn from the best shots on the planet. At first, she was horrible, hitting everything but the targets. As time went on though and she learned better control of her gun, she became able to hit both stationary and moving targets with relative ease.

After a year on the border worlds, she set up her own little Mercenary shop on Santo. She took jobs as they came and traveled to them on shuttles she had either snuck abord or promised her gunning services for free if they took her where she needed to go.

The times she spent doing this made her overly cautious of everyone and none too trusting of anyone, for you never knew what their true motives were. The only people she trusts are children, because she feels they are the most honest people in the 'Verse.

After on particurally harrowing job that almost cost her life, she retired. Now, at age 20, she's looking for a job...And the soldiers that killed her father.

Zira loves to read. It's hard for her to get books, so many times she's forced to read them via the Cortex. She's also a fan of some of the older shows on the Cortex...like the ones that include cowboys and indians that were said to have aired back on Earth-That-Was. They remind her of her time on Santo and although it isnt something she's proud of, it's a part of her and she won't ever forget that.


Strengths (1 paragraph): She's a good shot, and a loyal friend to those she can trust. Naturally cautious unless she's drunk, she's the type of person you want to watch your back.


Weaknesses (1 paragraph): Zira doesn't talk about her past and finds it hard to trust people, especially those in high ranks. She is also a girl that can't hold her liquor for anything.


Sample Post (3 paragraphs/Third Person Past Tense):

Zira stepped off the ship she had been on and looked around at the planet. The ship had said it was bound for Osiris, but she hadn't cared about the destination. All she wanted was to get off Athens. She gripped her necklace under her shirt and, forcing thoughts from the past from her mind, set off through the crowd.

Within moments, she found herself thinking, Where in hell am I? She sighed, then mentally hit herself. Small town girl you are. Three minutes in a core planet, and you're already lost. Looking about for any building that looked semi- reputable, she found one, a bar.

As she approched the door, she found a man seated next to it. "Don't go in there," he said, slurring his speech. "They don't like them Alliance people."

She shook her head, and quietly muttered something about "drunken hwoon-dahns" before continuing inside.




OOC- I know that creating NPC is against rules. I thought it would be okay this once though as I was showing an example of how I RP.
