So, have I told you how awesome you guys are lately? Because I need to. Because you are. I lucked the hell out when I found yall. I've been doing this style of RPG for about seventeen years now, and you guys are by far the best bunch of folks I've ever come across.

I know I take yall for granted sometimes, definitely more than I should, and for that, I wanna apologize. I've been very fortunate in my writing career to work with some of the best writers and best people out there. You guys amaze me in character, and you break my heart with just what good people you are.

Due to a recent rude awakening, I find that I've gotten complacent, and that with all my good fortune, I've come to take it for granted. I just assume that everybody plays fair and is even tempered and is in it for the love of writing like I am. I forget that there are sad little kings of sad little hills out there who run their RP's like their own personal empire. I forget that there are Niskas out there who have no place in their worlds for originality, or stretching oneself as a writer, and will write you off without warning if you step so much as a toe across the sacred line of CANON. I forget that there are admins who are at odds with their goals and let the RP's suffer for it.

I forget about the villains out there, because I'm surrounded by Big Damn heroes.

I forget just how beautiful yall are.

Also, I need to point out how gorram fantastic our staff is here. They keep us running smoothly, without any primary buffer panels flying off, and no Crazy Ivans needed. They put up with all our craziness, and all the voices in our heads that we send spilling out onto the pages.

To quote a man much more poetic than myself:

"You can learn all the math in the 'Verse, but you take a boat in the air that you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as a turn of the worlds. Love keeps her in the air when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurtin' before she keels. Makes her a home. "

You guys are my loves. Each and every one of you, even those that I haven't gotten around to writing with.

You are the reason that I love writing.

You are the reason I love what I do here.

You are the reason I'm still flying.

And for that, I thank you with all my heart.
