...LOOK AT THE DAMN PICTURE! :PDetailed Personality (1-2 paragraphs):
In a morally ambiguous world, Bishop aspires to do the right thing, something which he is prepared to articulate and act upon, even at risk to his own standing. He is young, capable, and resourceful who possesses thoughtful rationality and a strong code of ethics.Detailed History (2 paragraphs):
Tate Bishop is the elder son of Leland Bishop and Elizabeth Griffith. Together with his younger brother, Nick, he was raised largely by his mother on Santo, following his parents' divorce when he was eight.
Bishop's father thought that his enlistment in the Alliance Navy was crazy, and he viewed the military as a joke. Nathan signed up anyway because he "wanted to believe in something." This rift with her father would continue throughout her service and the last time they spoke they got in a heated argument. Nevertheless, Nathan continued and is now a Communications officer, and is due to transfer to the Ranjit, after request due to "screaming" he heard over the comms.Strengths (1 paragraph):
Free Thought: He thinks freely, and isn't, and won't be a tool for anyone but himself.
Rational Thought: This has lead him to some pretty good decisions, though it can be some what cancelled out by his will to do right.
Combat: He's been taught in both side-arms usage and hand to hand combat. Kind of handy on the rim, don't ya' think?Weaknesses (1 paragraph):
Over Intellectualizing: He's committed this crime more then he's had hot dinners. Some times the smarter way is the simpler way. He's slowly learning this.
What's Right: This comes first, always. Not only has he been suckered by this, but has made him make some decisions that have left him worse off. Though, he has friends in some pretty interesting places.
Bad Liar: Yeah… He can't lie.Sample Post (3 paragraphs/Third Person Past Tense):
Bishop saluted the Captain as he came to a halt.
"At ease, Lieutenant." The Captain gestured at the chair opposite him. "Please, sit."
Bishop lowered himself into the chair, waiting for the Captain to continue.
"Drink?" The captain said as he poured the orange contents into a glass."Yes."
Bishop gave a slight smile. "Thank you sir."
The Captain handed him a glass, then drank out of his own.
"Now, to business. Why do you wish to transfer?""Nothing personal sir.. It's just that...''
Bishop bit his lip.
"The screaming? Petty Officer Huton heard nothing."
Bishop started to fume. He'd been on the last dog watch, monitoring the comm chatter when he momentarily heard cries from a ship barely with in the quadrant. He had been dismissed as crazy, and his argument about helping whoever it had been with the XO found him relieved of duty until further notice."It was there! I know it!"
He took a breath, trying to regain some composure "I need a... change of scenery, is all sir."
"I understand... And have already approved your transfer." He slid a folder on his desk forward. "You're transferring to the I.A.V Ranjit. Until then, you have your orders.... Dismissed"Thank you sir."
With that, Bishop placed the untouched drink back on the desk, before leaving with the folder for the junior officer's mess...
