I knows I'm just visitin' on the Shield, but I'm spendin' most my time in the Infirmary and thought I'd give y'all a tour.
Standard Alliance Patrol Ship Infirmary (
Posted Image)
What ya see is pretty much standard for long haul ships, but Alliance can afford far better 'quipment than most civvie ships.
FEATURES3 Triage Tables: Labeled for convenience in emergencies (We don't got none o' those on the Ares Shield, thoughs. Don't you worries about that.)
- Mag-locks can be released to move tables. Height adjusts 26 inches up or down.
- Easy-Sterilizing foam covers.
(The Triage tables are actually purty comfortable. Just ask Damian Malone and Catri Ryan. They been sleepin' on em for weeks.)
Medical Computer: Standard Med-encyclopedia with total access to Med-Acad files and research facilities. (No Cor-Net access though. I sure'd love to watch the newscasts in here or listen to music!)
Medical Imager: Standard Med-Imager: X-Ray, Ultrasound, Geno-scan, CT, and NMRS (nuclear magnetic resonance scan).
No DNA analysis. Gotta run that through the forensics computer on the Bridge. Sterilizer: Standard radiation sterilizer for equipment. I'm gonna run Liam Brown's clothes through it while he's still unconscious, I thinks they needs it.
Head: Efficiency toittie and sink, Folds right outta the wall. Curtain's okay, but only hangs to about 24 inches off the ground. Not so private. Not that matters to me, but sometimes does to the others.
Supply Fridge: Seperated into two sections- Refrigerated meds like insulin, and plasma and the like on the left. Protien drinks, TPN, NN, and the like on the right.
Top shelf is
Restricted Meds. Need thumbprint ID from either Lt. Womack or Lt. Bell to get in there. (I gots Lt. Womack to open it for me when he was gunshot and mostly-unconscious. He doan' remember, but if he'd been wake, I know he woulda done it anyways to help Officer Lopez. I kept outs a thing or two 'case I needed them.)

Oh, Double doors slide open. They have real good airlock seals in case of a hull breach, which is kinda handy when there's really bad men on the ship lookin' for us.
