Leon looked back at her, a small blush on his face. Maybe telling her it was best he shouldn't go outside was not the greates idea. Leon scooted down closer towards Sam, giving her a small smile.

"Uhm...is there anything you want to do today Sam? We've got quite a while before they call people in for check-ups or anything like that."

Leon's heart was racing as he moved his hand close to hers, slowly reaching for her hand as he held it tenderly.

Sam looked at their hands, "I err... don't know what I want to do today." She muttered, knowing even if they did go outside he would have to be accompanied by an nurse. She took a deep breath in.

She shivered and looked around the lunch room quickly, everyone seemed so.... different in some way. She smiled at Leon, "Everything seems different..." She mumbled quietly, her smiled faded and she looked down.

Leon looked around, how did everything look different? Everyone seemed to be the same, some happy, some sad, and most of them angry. It didn't matter, he still managed to smile at Sam, although that smile didn't last long.

"I-I'm sorry Sam, I shouldn't have...Didn't think it'd bother you.."

Leon slowly retreated his hand from hers, feeling guilty for forcing himself on Sam like that.

Sam pursed her lips, "Oh... no that wasn't what was bothering me..." she muttered. Sam reached for his hand again, she took a humble hold of it. She squeezed it slightly, and looked around nervously. Something was bothering her, but she didn't know what it was.

She shivered again, "Something doesn’t feel right..." she muttered quietly under her breath. She looked at Leon, then smiled slightly. She kept a fake smile on her face, thought this was the opposite way Sam was feeling.

Leon looked at her with curiousity, and apprehension. Could she feel something he couldn't? Like premonition? It wouldn't surprise him, but he didn't know what to say since everything seemed ok.

"Doesn't feel right how Sam?" Leon asked, squeezing her hand a little, looking into her eyes.

Leon smiled back, unsure if that's the best thing he could have done, but he didn't know what else to do. He scanned the room again, but nevertheless, he didn't find anything out of the ordinary. The sun shone brightly against the window, and Leon could feel himself actually absorbing the heat, sort of like the first time it happened.

'Not good..At least I don't think it is, it's only happened once before..' Leon thought to himself, wondering how the heat would affect him. IF he remembered correctly, he hadn't been near the sun at all the day of the incident, apart from walking to/from school.

Sam shivered again, "I just know something isn't right..." She muttered. Sam could feel an eerie presence... but she had no possible way of even explaining it. She pursed her lips, somehow before things happened, she would know. Sam twitched a bit and looked down, "Something’s... wrong..." She muttered looking at Leon with the purest fear in her eyes.

She shivered and looked around the room frantically, her eyes were wide when she looked at the window. Sam whimpered.

Leon held his hand closer to her, trying to see what was so horrible that shook Sam so badly like that. Whatever it was, it couldn't be good. At all.

"Sam, what are you looking at?" Leon asked, looking towards the window where her gaze was pointed at. He didn't see anything, and it was quite frustrating.

Leon sighed, trying to see something that, to him, was clearly not there. Maybe she was seeing things? Or maybe she was having a premonition, it wouldn't be the first time. Most patients in the hospital often had premonitions, if they were true Leon didn't know.

Sam looked at Leon, "Something's going to happen..." She muttered quickly, "Something.... bad..." she warned. She kept her gaze on the window, "Sort of a premonition..." she mumbled.

She kept her gaze firmly on the window. Sam sighed 'Maybe you are just crazy' she thought to herself. Sam shook her head and looked at Leon, knowing he wouldn’t make sense of this.

Leon looked at her for a few moments, then turned back to the window. Something in the sky was going to happen? Or did she just looked on the outside of the window so she could concentrate better? Leon sighed, not knowing what to make of it.

"Well...if you say something's gonna happen, it just might. You never know." Leon said, turning to face Sam.

Leon moved sideways a bit, and put his arm around Sam. If something bad was going to happen, then he would at least make sure it wouldn't happen to her.

"Don't worry, you won't be in harm's way. I promise."

Sam looked up at him, his words and actions has suddenly brought her comfort. She wrapped her arms around Leon in a tight hug. She hoped he wouldn't push her away, but she wouldn't care if he did.

She let out a deep sigh, "Thank you... for everything..." she muttered quietly.

Leon got caught off guard for a second, taken aback by Sam. He couldn't remember if he ever was embraced like this, but he enjoyed it all the same. Leon lowered his arms and held her tight as well.

"It's no problem...you've helped me as much as i've helped you." Leon mumbled, smiling at her.

Leon was resolute in his decision about escaping the hospital. And getting Sam out of here was his first objective.

Sam looked up at him blushing, "Thank you." She smiled brightly. She was happy again, which barely happens to her.

She looked around the cafeteria quickly, feeling better now. She looked back at Leon, "I... really like you..." she muttered blushing.

Leon looked at the cafeteria, wondering what Sam was looking for. Maybe it was just his imagination but it seemed to him she was waiting for something. Whatever it was, it suddenly left Leon's thoughts, and he slowly looked down at her.

"I...really like you too Sam.." Leon mumbled, looking at her a little awestruck. He knew they were friends, but he hadn't really expected for her to say that she liked him.

'Calm down Leon she probably just meant it as a friend..' Leon told himself, but part of him really wishing it was anything but that. He liked having sam as a friend, but on the other hand, he couldn't help being a little closer to her than a regular friend would be.

Sam blushed more. "You... know... like more than I have to anyone else..." She muttered with bright radiant smile.

'I hope he likes me too...' she thought to herself. She had never felt this... attached to someone like she did to Leon. She smiled up at him. This was quite new to Sam, feeling so happy. Sam sighed and looked down, knowing he probably didn’t mean the same.

Leon looked at her and attempted to smile, but it merely looked like a polite smile, one you would give to an acquaintance, than what his true feelings were. Leon moved closer to her, seeing her sigh and look down.

"Sam...uhm...which way...do you like me?" Leon asked tentatively, wondering how her feelings were.

Leon supposed it wouldn't be too bad if she told him they were just friends, after all, she was his only friend. If it came to be that she wanted him as something...more..he would, of course, be delighted but he wouldn't know how to react. Leon stared hopefully at her, waiting for an answer.
