.No, you may not use names like devil666 or jess_williams. You must register with a first and last name, with proper grammar. Ex: Mikayla Latyon. If you have signed up with something else, PM me.

.You can have as many characters as you can handle. But please don't make a character and not be active with it. If you apply for another character, and we see you aren't active with your previous one, then you'll be denied until your other character is used a bit more.

.Right now, there are no limitations to characters. However, I would like a even ratio between genders and sexualities. Meaning, I don't want all girls or homosexuals. Change it up a bit.

.You must have an avatar. I don't care if you have a sig or not, but an avatar of your face claim must be present. Also, no overly large signatures. Please don't let your sig stretch the page, or have a really big height. The first part of the secret phrase is 'what a shame'.

the application
.No Gary-Stu’s. We expect the characters to be well developed. This means there have to be flaws and points of weakness. Things they’re good at it, things they detest. Nobody’s perfect.

.You must be 15-21 to apply to Blackwell Academy, and 13-18 to be a student in the high school. Try to make your character’s personality fitted to the school. If it seems your character doesn’t fit in the school you are applying for, I will either tell you to redo the character’s bio, or put your character in the school better suited for them.

.Applications are not needed for those 9 and younger. Anyone 10 and above must have an application filled out for them.

.Do not post anywhere until your character is accepted. Not even in face claims.

.Your character must be represented by a person. Not a drawing, but an actual person. It can be an unknown model or a celebrity face. After you have chosen one remember to claim it in the Face Claim.

.Whether you get accepted or not depends wholly on your application. Don't just rush through it – actually work on it because it can help you feel out who your character is. However, if you are missing information, you'll have the change to fix it. You will only get denied if your character is too perfect, too many spelling and grammar errors, or there are many, many mistakes in the app.

the character
.Please make your characters original. I will deny any 'perfect' characters. Everyone has flaws. Please develop your characters throughout the role-play. Also, make your character's name unique. I don't want there to be 20 people with the same last name.

.Please make your character more developed throughout the role-play. The things you fill out on the app are just the basics, and just so we have the basic concept of what your character is like. Your character shouldn't only like 5 things or dislike 5 things. The app is just an outline for something much bigger.

.If you want your character deleted, or want them to die in a thread, please PM me to let me know. The character must have 50 posts to be deleted.

the rating
.This is site is PG-13. However, it can be considered more a combination of PG-13 or R. If you are making a thread with adult content, then please put (M) in the title.

.Sex // Pregnancy – if there is sex involved in the thread, make sure to write mark it like I said above, either in the title or the subtext. Pregnancy is allowed (this isn't a fantasy board, so no male pregnancies). The second part of the secret phrase is 'we all became'.

.Cursing is allowed, but please don't make it a first language for your character. No one goes around cursing all the time.

the posts
.God-modding is a definite no. If you are new to role-playing, god-modding is controlling a character that isn't yours. This can get tricky in fights, so please be careful.

.Posts must be well-written. There isn't a minimum you have to write, but please make them good in quality. And no one-liners! It's hard for the person you are RPing with to respond.

.Please proof-read and spell check. We understand that people make typos but a post riddled with errors is not what we're looking for.

.Students in Blackwell Academy can post anywhere except the high school's classrooms and office. Students in the high school can post in the high school and city category, and the lake of the academy. Inside the academy building is off limits. People of the city can post anywhere, but they must have a reason to be in either school.

the OOC
.Be courteous to the staff members. We all have lives, and sometimes it may take awhile to keep everything up-to-date. Things are negotiable, but please don't try to constantly argue with us. If you have a complaint, please PM me.

.You may advertise for other sites, but only in the advertisement board, not on your signature or in any of your posts. Do not advertise by mass email.

.Respect everyone! If you have a problem with someone treating you wrong, let an admin know- we're here to help you. Although, even if the member's character was rude to yours, it gives you no right to be rude through PMs or through our box. Be nice, alrighty?

.We have a chat box, so please use it! We don't bite... at least not hard. Just remember to be friendly, and don't fight. Also, don't nag the admin to accept your app, nor bother a staff member about a problem you have through the chat box. PM it to the staff member in private, please.

.Don’t spam the board, or the chat box. Pretty self-explanatory. If you spam, you will get a warning. The next time, you will get banned.

.All staff members have permission to warn members, and it’s in full effect. If you break a rule, most likely your warning level won’t rise, and you’ll be contacted through PM to let you know what’s wrong. However, if you repeatedly break the rules, we’ll increase your warn level. If you are in Blackwell Academy, and you reach level 3, your character will be put in the high school, and you’ll be contacted through PM about the situation. When you get warnings, you are on a parole of sorts. If you follow the rules for 2 weeks, it will get taken down a level. And so on and so forth, until you have a clean slate again. If you reach level 5, you would have plenty enough warnings to know that what you are doing is wrong, and you will be banned until we see fit. The third part of the secret phrase is 'such fragile broken things'.

If you feel like you have been issued a warning unfairly, please PM me about it.

.OOC fighting will not be tolerated. You do it, and we have the rights to ban you from this site. You may, of course, fight In-Character while posting, but fighting with a character's handler will cause trouble and there will be consequences.

.A clean site is a happy site When you are finished a thread, please PM a staff member so we can move it to the ‘dead thread’ forum. If you made a thread you’d like deleted, again, let the staff know.
