((OOC: Could you start the next thread please? I really suck at starting threads )) Laurie nodded in agreement, "Mmm yeah, I'm sure a lot of people do feel like us, it's just hard to find them all." She smiled ruefully at his attempt to comfort her. "It's okay, it's been a long while since she passed away. The shadow of her death is nearly gone." Lauren said sadly. It was true though, it had been awhile since Maria had died. And slowly but surely the sadness that had washed over the Diegro family, was slowly drifting away. "Yeah I really didn't have an approach to dealing with them, they just kinda drifted away I guess..." Laurie said quickly, not wanting to admit that she had cowardly allowed the bullies to pretend to be her friends. It was very sad for her to remember, much less admit it to anyone else. She smiled sadly when he admitted that he took the easy road, she was the one who really took the easy road, cowardly letting the bullies do what ever they wanted. Her face grimaced at the mention of a night club, she didn't mind partying once in awhile, but it was 11 o'clock in the morning. She smiled happily when he decided that they would go to a coffee shop instead. "Hmmm...I actually have a couple of hours free before my next class, so would you like to just go straight to the coffee shop?"

((OOC: Okay, I will. I'll send you the link. Oh, and just to let you know, I probably won't be able to get on too often in the next week.)) He nodded slowly, "I wish I could say more, it's just not something I've ever had to deal with." He wasn't sure what to say about the fact that she was almost over her family members death, so he just nodded again. He hated not knowing what to say, more than he hated anything else. He felt that it made him lookl ike he didn't care when he didn't respond, though most of the time it didn't look like that. It just looked like he didn't understand how it felt, which was the truth, because he didn't. He was glad he hadn't had to deal with that, he had no idea how it would affect him, and that was another thing that he hated, that scared him: the unknown.
"It's alright," he said, "I won't think any differently of you because of how you dealt with your bullies, especially seeing as I'm not one of them." He was curious about it, but he was naturally curious about everything. He spared her any questions he might have had about it, maybe he would ask her later, maybe he wouldn't. To tell the truth it wasn't really his business, but if he got to know her well enough, she might tell him. Either way, it wouldn't affect the way they intereacted.
"That's fine with me," he said, "To tell the truth, I'm not a big fan of waiting, especially if I'm looking forward to something. I suppose we should walk, it's not too far away, and offering to drive you there might have been a little creepy on my part, I just didn't think about it."

((OOC: Sorry for the late reply, yeah and don't worry about not coming on often, I won't be able to either :s))
Laurie nodded, "Yeah I understand, you don't have to worry. I hope for your sake that it doesn't happen any time soon. You really don't want to have to experience the feelings." It was true, sure Laurie knew that people died everyday, but it was just so different when someone close to you actually passed away, and until you knew what it felt like, there was no pain in the world that could compare.
Laurie smiled at him happily, "Thank you for not judging me, and I doubt you would ever be one of my bullies, unless you have a secret evil personality?" Laurie joked. She was happy that he didn't pressure her, into revealing everything. It was a refreshing change, from the constant questions and interrogation she had to face back home. And who knows, they could become closer later on, and she could tell him then. This could be the start of a beautiful friendship...
"You don't like waiting? Hmmm...I can see where you're coming from, but I've never really minded waiting. As I figured, the longer you wait for something you really want, the more it will be worth when you receive it right?" Laurie explained quickly. "And walking is fine, I love the weather here, and the scenery is great to look at."
