[Ryder Kyle]

Ryder raised an eyebrow at her singing. Not many people would just start singing and playing in a store. Good thing she had a good voice, he thought. A very good voice. "I guess those voice lessons pay off, now don't they?" He leaned against a wall, and folded his arms loosely across his chest.

Maggie smiled. "Ya i guess so. Do you play a insterment?" she asked as she went and looked at some of the guitar strings. there was a large assortment. she scaned for her brand. Then for the cheepest.

Ryder nodded. "Bass and electric guitar. A little acoustic. That's about it," he said. He barely had time to learn that, with school and working combined. Being in school, and providing for a family, takes a toll on your free time. And social life.

He then realized he hadn't gotten her name. "I'm Ryder, by the way," he said with a shrug.

"Maggie Adems." Maggie said running her hand threw her hair. She went to look at some CD's. "Wow, this place is great. The music store back home...i sware to god if your a rock fan in there you feel your sole die a little. They only have bubble gum pop." she said.

Ryder chuckled a bit. "Why would they have that in a small town?" He followed her over to the CD's, standing back a little, thumbs hooked through his belt loops. "So, what happened to your dad?" He noticed he hadn't mentioned her dad moving here. Just her and her mom. He didn't mind asking- if they didn't want to answer, they could just say so. He didn't see the point of being private, anyway. You can't change the life you've been dealt.

Crap. Maggie thought, but the lie came easily to her lips, all it took was summoning the hatred she already had to her lips. "Back home with my sister. She wanted to finish her highschool with her friends. and what ever big sister wants big sisters get. It sucks." she said. She started to look threw the CD's faster. Anger showed on her face. She couldnt help if she hated her sister, she was just such a spoiled...Maggie calmed herself. "what about you, whats your family like."

Ryder studied her face. Anger was obvious. "Don't like the sister, eh?" Typical story. Who didn't hate their siblings? Ryder liked his family- looked after them- but he had his fights, too. Ah, and there was the question. "Not the best. Not the worst. Just my mom, my two sisters and me. My father is dead." And this is where him being a hypocrite comes in. He doesn't believe people should be so private, yet he leaves out details. He wasn't going to mention he more or less killed his father, and was glad of it, too.

Maggie looked at him. "I'm sorry to hear that." she said. Then she decided to change the topic by answering his question. "Me and my sister are just to diffrent. Shes the head cheerleader, i'm the one who stink bombed a peprally. She head of the debate team, I droped a cherry bomb down a toilet. She orginizes her energy to 'positive things' I try to cause habic. Shes the goody two shoes, i go out of my way to make people like her want to vomit. She's a prude, i'm not. Oh and she stuffed me in a closet for three hours when i was 4 and affraid of the dark." she said

"Ah, I get it," he said with a nod. "Parents play favorites? But all in her defense, you shouldn't hate her just because she may be better at something. Or has a different lifestyle. Be a little more open minded." He was glad she changed the subject from his family. No need to dip into that subject just yet. Besides, he barely knew her. And what are the chances of him seeing her again?

Maggie laughed. "Can i hate her for makeing me go in a small dark closet for three hours." she was thinking, she might not get to see this guy again. "hold on." she pulled a sharpie out of her bag. She grabed his hand and quickly wrote her phone number down on it, then a message. call or mutant monkeys will eat your sole....doesnst sound fun does it? So call! NOW! RIGHT NOW! I MEAN IT! DONT QUESTION THE POWER OF MY MUTANT MONKIES! The message took up the space of his hand. "there..." she said with a smile.
