Upcoming in the story on Beat to Quarters is a battle with a Spanish galleon, the Madre de Dios, carrying silver back to Spain. Separated from their escort ship during the heavy storm, the sailors' journey through the labyrinth of islands and islets of the Bermudas, hunting ground of the Sea Hound, lies ahead. How far will they get before the pirates strike?

We're playing the Spanish seamen as NPCs and you're invited to join in. Maybe you don't have time to commit to a regular character or just haven't decided yet if you like playing with us? Here's your chance to test the waters. Just register an NPC account (“NPC_nickname”), post in the Battle Ahead discussion thread which NPC aboard the galleon you'll be playing and join in!

The first thread aboard the Madre de Dios has started.

More information:
Discussion of the "Golden Galleon".

The posting rules still apply.

Attention Guests! The trap between the Pirates and Spanish draws closer and the Navy are posed and ready to enact their own trap to bring the 'Sea Hound' to Justice. NPC players will be welcome on any of the ships being as we will need them for the upcoming battles. If your interested in merely testing the waters then feel free to start as an NPC. Lioe was nice enough to list the links that will help you in the post above.

Another thing to note is that we are looking for male sailing characters. After the battle, some officer positions will become open so we encourage you to think about that when making your character!

Check out the major threads for pre battle on the Sea Hound in A Goat Ruse, on the Steadfast in The Calm Before and on the Madre de Dios in A Glimmer of Hope.
