Welcome to Beat to Quarters, a Play-by-Post Text Roleplay set in 1741. It's the Age of Sail, and also the age of Piracy here in the West Indies. Will you fight for King and Country and uphold the law here at the edge of colonial civilization? Or will you pillage and plunder to your black heart's content? The wind's a-blowin' and the sea awaits, so prepare for adventure...
August, 1741:
Following the chaotic battle at sea and the resulting sinking of the Persephone, both the pirates and the navy have gone to ground. The crew of the Sea Hound makes port in Tortuga, loot in tow, where a change in leadership appears imminent. Meanwhile the Steadfast has docked in Barbados to effect repairs and wait out foul weather. On the isle of Barbados, English society has gathered for a grand colonial ball, while in Tortuga, rumors of lost treasure echo in back alleys.
Featured Player:
Bog
Sam MacFarlane, Robert Crawford, Gordon Burr

Bog brings us the accomplished Scottish top-man MacFarlane, the duty-conscious, strict Marine Sergeant Crawford, and a mysterious civilian newcomer Burr. A great writer, Bog is also likely to know the answer to any historical or Royal Navy questions that we others may have.
