As the regular season finally draws to a close, Devils fans had something to cheer about. after begining the season as a canditate for a top 5 pick, GM Andrew went to town on the team and totally refaced the franchise, with faces like Iginla, Marleau, Kipper, and Lucas the team totally changed the core, only one man remains on the blue line from where the season started, of the top 6 fowards that started the season 3 remain, and the bottom 6 were thouroughly rotated all season long. What did it get, well a bitter sweat ending sad.gif with hopes running high down the stretch the devils decided to make a push, come deadline day they were probably one of the most active teams, and o me o my they had an exciting push to try and grab that last playoff spot, but with florida winning its last two games are season was thouroughly caputs.

In New Jersey fans are generally happy, with profits rolling in by the handfulls, and a sold out house almost every night youll be hard pressed to find an upset fan in New Jersey, sure they didnt make the playoffs, but ask any fan and theyll tell ya its better than a basement dwelling season, and those who are in the know are generally happy the 1st round pick traded isnt a top 5 pick, and even more so there happy that they even have picks after watching GM Andrew trade them all away at one point threw the season.

So what does this mean, Well NJ is still a struggaling team, changes still need to be made, holes need to be filled, but in New Jersey fans, players, and the GM say just 1 thing, Better watch out next year, this time we will be pushing for the playoffs from the getgo
