this tut is about how to get heat level 10,9,8,7, etc. in MW . when you are at heat level 10 there are 100 backup cops instead of 25 like on heat level 5. this makes it harder to lose the cops. to do this you need to find the career slot for the car you want to have heat level 10:
Finding a Career Slot for a car
1. Open your save file with the hex editor.
2. Seek for the Car Code of your car in the Car Code list (for example Fiat Punto = 117AEEA6 117AEE46). Add to the code the corresponding category number (01 = Stock ,02 = Career, 04 = My Cars, 08 = Bonus, 20 = Special, 42 = Pink Slip). For the fiat Punto in the career it would be 117AEEA6 117AEE46 02.
3. Search with the search editor for the number. For me the result is: 52000000 117AEEA6 117AEE46 02000F00 2001CDCD Yours will be a little different. What is important is the number in red (Tuning Slot number), in this case 01.
4. If you haven’t changed the number of Impound Strikes for a car, search in hex editor for XXCD03000000, where XX the number of the tuning slot from the previous step is (01 for me).
You can calculate the address: (0000E2ED+(XX*38))
then first search for the career slot for your car like above should look like this :
see the string outlined in red (0000A040) that stands for heat 5 and the address is 0000E328 FOR MY CAR yours will be different ( find it by the above post)
to get heat level 10,9,etc. change the 0000A040 to 00002041 for heat 10 or 00001041 for heat 9 it should look like this :
then once you changed it save it and DONT FORGET TO FIX THE CHECKSUM !!!! then load your savegame with the car and you get this :

NOTE: Right away when the pursuit starts the game forces you back to heat 5 but you still have to deal with 100 cops not at once tho just like heat 5 there are only a few actually chasing you the rest are backup in this case they have LOTS of backup so it is harder to outrun and lose them. usually i will get about 1.5 million bounty before all of the backup cops are gone and it reverts back to just 25.
BTW: all of this can be done with the hex editor HEX WORKSHOP (I am using 4.2) and make sure you have the format the SAME as the pics (2 numbers per column)

YOU HAVE TO DO THIS EACH TIME YOU WANT A HEAT LEVEL 10 PURSUIT, IT IS EASY TO JUST REMEMBER THE LOCATION IN THE CAREER SLOT THEN IT JUST TAKES A MINUTE.
