On another note, I'm going to keep maining Marth. Unfortunately, I'm at a slight handicap due to Andrew's insistence on using Wiimotes. I don't have hours of gameplay to make it second-nature to me. I can only hope Alexis is kinder and allows fairer play. Although, I am excited to go home and play with my little brother. His main is--gasp--also Marth.

By the way, the C-stick is NOT cheap. Everyone has it at their disposal. It's simply an uncharged smash attack that--if you compared them--is as fast as a quick Forward + A. Why use two buttons when you can tap one, simple stick? Furthermore, it gives off A LOT of lag forcing you to use it smart.

Oh, and about the concept of a "tier list", yes, they DO exist. Logically, they HAVE to exist because of character diversity. It happens in every competitive game. In Melee, according to the SmashWiki (created and maintained by the entire Smash Bros. community), Falco and Fox are top tier. Marth was part of the second tier. Tiers exists relative to a set environment. For example, if widespread tournament play involved

Final Destination
No items

then tier lists will naturally evolve given the environment. If suddenly, new and significant factors such as high-spawning items or if competitive play was only teams, then a DIFFERENT tier list will evolve given the former two variables. So THAT is why tier lists exist. They evolve given due to a given environment. If the environment changes, so will lists.

Oh, and here's a good vid' of Marth vs. Link from Melee.

Just as they see the C-stick as cheating, I see having a "main" as cheating, but whatevs.

In my family, no one has a main, and if you keep choosing the same character, we won't like you. >:C

>_< If I had more time, I'd try to main someone else, too. Maybe Falco.

What's wrong with Falco?

Wacko Quacko - March 12, 2008 03:23 AM (GMT)
You said "main."

No, Falcon's cool. He's basically a faster version of Fox.

I can have more than one main. Okay, I'll reword it: I'll get better with someone else.

le gasp!

Can I mark this down in blood? XD Pff, to think QUYEN would EVER think of using someone other than Marth.

I think I feel the ground freezing. Perhaps hell hath frozen. XD

It already has... Hell, Alaska...lol

but I agree with you there mantha, we should be able to use different characters, normally when me and my friends play melee we do 64 man tourneys with random characters and random levels.... ( I know i'm best with samus but i don't have any problems playing other characters)

I guess it is possible to 100% Subspace Emissary mode. You just have to find some secret doors in the stages that are listed with a flag. It's actually an easier way to get new characters. I didn't have to "challenge" them or anything to get them. Yayz. Right now, I'm at 97%.

I forget, but I think that's how I got All-Star mode.

>.< I'm still on 58%.

I'm sooo behind!

I have 83% of Subspace done. Although I did beat the Final Boss.

Anyway right now I'm working on unlocking things.

Also if anybody knows where I could find the Brawl Soundtrack (ie online downloads) please PM me or something.

I hope they'll be an accomplishment for 100% completing it or I will be sad. :C

For music, the best I could find was this, but you can't download from there, just listen.

Yeah they probably would tell you something wouldn't they? I mean it would suck if it said 100% complete and then nothing happened. No I bet you unlock something or they congratulate you.

As for Smash music you can listen to it on youtube but I really want to find a place to download it. My computer would probably crash though. How many songs are in the game again 314 right?

Anyway I just have one more character to unlock.

At 100% you probably get a trophy, which is fine with me lol. I am such a collector it is pathetic.

Last I checked, I think I left SSE at about 87-90%. I haven't had much time to play, plus i am leaving the wii here for the upcoming week as a peace offering for my sister. (AKA Will probably spend most of tonight brawling.)

I finally got it and OH YAY my brother took all the GCN controller to his apartment in Amherst so now I get to play with wiimotes and oh look there's an old GCN controller but wait its got a horribly loose joystick and it doesn't control very well and sometimes doesn't register up or down and its pissing me off but wiimotes are still annoying to use so i tough it out and try to play and it just pisses me off even mooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo *gasp* oooooooooooooooooooooooore!

Damnable wiimotes.
