It's not easy being the Slayer's baby sister. It's even harder when you're actually a construct woven into reality by some monks set on hiding your earth-destroying abilities from some psycho hosebeast of a goddess. No wonder she's a bit of a spaz. Dawn's been through a lot in her few short years on earth, and she's come out fighting. Initially just a pain in the ass, she's wormed her way into the Scooby Gang and actually managed to make herself useful, picking up the skills to research and even fight. She still lacks for tact sometimes and has a tendency to act younger than her age while at the same time demanding everyone treat her like an adult, but underneath it all, she's got a good heart.[/color]



[FAMILY] Dawn's lost a lot of people she loves over the past few years, but this just makes her that much more inclined to hold on tighter to those who remain. And, of course, the bonds of family go way beyond just those who are related to her by blood.

[FRIENDS] And how. While Dawn is super-close with the rest of the Scoobies, I'd love to see her also branch out and get some friends of her own. As long as you aren't evil (or you at least hide it really, really well), she's a pretty friendly sort, and not the least bit shy or reserved. She also attends high school in LA, so any classmates are welcome!

[ENEMIES] Dawn is like a trouble-magnet, and I'm all for getting her mixed up in all sorts of nastiness. It's sort of a hazard of the trade when you're kin to the Slayer.

[LOVERS] Little Dawnie can rock an unrequited crush like nobody's business, especially if you're too old for her but treat her like an adult. However, she's also growing up, and I'd like to see her get into an actual relationship with a (non-evil) boy her age. Alternatively, I'm up for totally messing with her if someone evil does want to manipulate her feelings to get close to the Scoobies or to whatever end.

[ANYTHING ELSE] If you have any other ideas for tossing our characters together, I'd love to hear them!

Anyway Mina here is seventeen and she's really friendly and I can see her and Dawn getting along. Mina acts rather ditsy at times but she's a lot smarter than she seems, she just finds it easier to not show it because she's lazy and doesn't really like school. Mina met a few of the scoobies while she was in Sunnydale but she never met Dawn, but we can always do a thread where the two meet in LA just before they go to Japan? Mina's met both Xander, Angel and and Giles so she'd be happy at the chance to meet someone else from America and make friends with them.</div></center><br>[/dohtml]

Usa is pretty much a ball of happiness and joy, she's bubbly and outgoing and just a tiny bit of an idiot at times. She can be self deprecating when she does something wrong but that's like most people. When she's upset she tries to pretend to be happy and even though she's a crybaby (she's getting out of that though) she's very strong and determined. She looks for the best in everyone even if they are bad. She would love to meet and get to know Dawn and would just pretty much adore her. </div></center><br>[/dohtml]

She was born on the planet Kinmoku which most people haven't heard of, and she's their princess and senshi. Unlike the other two I don't know how much Kakyuu will actually have to do with her as she tends to keep more to herself and her friends. Kakyuu is kind hearted and loving but she's also rather tortured at the moment. She was killed by Ginga (when she was evil) and brought back to life by her and tortured by her so she doesn't really want to make much effort right now. The only American she's really spoken to right now is Xander, and if these two meet I think that they would get along decently but unlike Mina and Usa Kakyuu won't go out of her way to talk to her I think Dawn would have to speak to her first. </div></center><br>[/dohtml]

DAWN && MINAKO

Sure, I'm game for doing a meeting thread between these two. Dawn can always do with more friends, especially ones closer to her age. I think she'd pretty much be willing to overlook the feigned ditziness too, if Mina overlooks her occasional spaz attacks in return. Anyway, if you wanted to kick something off for them, feel free, or I can do it if you give me some idea where Dawn might run into her...

DAWN && USAGI

Well, Dawn certainly likes to be adored! Seriously though, it sounds like Dawnie would have a lot of fun with Usagi, and with the regularly scheduled horror show that is her life, she can always do with more happy bubbliness.

DAWN && KAKYUU

I don't see Dawn having a problem approaching her, but she'd need some reason to do so. Perhaps we can orchestrate something to do with plot or even just them being in the same place at the same time.

DAWN && WILLOW

Of course Dawn loves Wills right back, and definitely sees her as another big sister and a part of the family. She really looks up to Willow. They should get together and play chess or something. Or maybe Willow could be teaching Dawn some elementals of witchcraft? Just a thought!

Hey, Kmy here attacking this plotter a little later than she said she would!
I'm going to start with my Buffyverse characters and then only mention the Sailor Moon ones she could have fun threads with.

Rupert Giles - after the hellmouth battle, he returned to London and only recently came to LA to be with the scoobies for the winter holidays. Except that everyone pretty much had their own plans already sobhe spent it alone. He would be a father figure for Dawn as he is for Buffy, especially now with the prospect of having to move to a foreign country with a different culture.

Tara Maclay - Xander made a wish that brought her back to life. For more tha a year she has lacked her magic powers but has recently regained them. She is back with Willow and she still loves little Dawnie to pieces and wants to be all motherly and snuggly.

Xander Harris - well, i already mentioned a lot about him in the cbox. It's going to be fun to have them interact, what with her crush on him and all.

Wesley Wyndam - he is currently the leader of Angel Investigations and in terms of interaction with Dawn, i can see her teasing him for being such a nerd back in Sunnydale.

Chibi Chibi - she is a Sailor Moon character who has something in common with Dawn: she also used to be a mystical element, the Sword of Sealing. Now, though, she is only an adorable 4 yearcold child who loves sweets and playing. They could have met at the Hyperion, if Dawn ever went there.

Haruka Tenou - i thought about her when i read the part in your plotter that says that she easily gets crushes. Haruka is 19, if i remember well, and her most striking trait is that she looks like a boy at first glance. She likes to use this to tease girls and flirt with them and i am imagining it would be interesting to get Dawn all blushy and crushy and then questioning of her sexuality when she realizes ruka is not a guy.

Yaten Kou - she is 17 and she is angel's current lover, which, you might imagine, doesnt earn her cookie points from buffy. Not sure how dawn would be around her but im eager to find out, considering that yaten can be pretty blunt and rude most of the time.

Yay more plots!

DAWN&& GILES

Yeah, I could see Dawn still enjoying riling him up by being annoying sometimes, but only because they're close enough that she knows he'd never really hold it against her. But she's also been getting more into the research side of fighting evil, so Giles could be a great resource in this respect. And, of course, she definitely needs a father figure since her own is a distant jerk.

DAWN&& TARA

Aw, yeah. I do love their canon friendship on the show, and how Tara still madetime for Dawn even when she was broken up with Willow. I think she brings a much needed stabilizing influence to the chaos of the Scoobies and Dawn's daily life. And while she was lacking magical powers, I can see Dawn really understanding how it is to be normal after being special...

DAWN&& XANDER

Yeah, the normal folk have to stick together! And, of course, Xander will always hold a very special place in her heart. And with him being a bit down in the dumps, I could see her making it a mission to cheer him up.

DAWN&& WESLEY

Yeah, I could see Dawnie not letting Wesley live that down. And again, since she does want to get more into the research stuff, Wesley might prove a resource (and/or she could just bug him about letting her help, depending on how he feels about that).

DAWN&& CHIBI CHIBI

I think Dawn would have been the Hyperion by now, and she'd definitely find that back story relatable. I could even see her volunteering for babysitting duty when everyone else is out playing heroes (once her offer to go along and help fight bad guys is no doubt shot down).

DAWN && HARUKA TENOU

That might be a funny bit of development, surely. We could start with some flirting and see how it goes between them, perhaps? It would certainly leave Dawn feeling like a bit of an idiot and a bit confused.

DAWN && YATEN KOU

Dawn's pretty protective of Buffy, so I could see her giving Yaten a cold shoulder, at the very least, and always ready to find the worst in her. So, of course, the bluntness and rudeness would probably just reinforce Dawn's feelings that Yaten isn't as good as Buffy and should therefore just, uh, go away or something. But a lot would depend on how it all plays out. So yeah, I'm game for tossing them at one another.

Buffy && Dawn

Buffy adores her sister, but also gets very overprotective and strict. Buffy tends to try to live vicariously through Dawn, she sees Dawn as the girl Buffy could have been if she hadn't been called. She loves her sister, despite the times they might fight, she just wishes they could get along better.



I don't know about Adelaide. She's scared of slayers ya see.

Hey! I'm Mandy, aka Oracle (obviously) and I just want to say welcome to BotN! Also, don't worry, I knew very little about SM when I joined and really, as long as you've read the little overviews on the site you should be good to go. <3

As for plots!

JENNY CALENDAR;

Jenny died at the hands of Angelus before Dawn was born/created/around but given the memories that were created, Dawn probably remembers her death and all of the drama around it. On Jenny's side of things, she was not alive when the spell was cast so she has no memories of Dawn -- technically right now she has no memories of anyone before she was killed as she's suffering from a retrograde amnesia. She was brought back, via the wish that restored life a year ago to those that had died, but she awoke in Tokyo with no idea who she was or how she came to be there. She is currently an employee at the Tokyo branch of Wolfram & Hart, serving as a researcher, et al. and is looking forward to working with the famed Angel and his motley crew of AI team and the Scoobies. She is currently in a scene with Giles who is on a tour of the Tokyo branch after the groups received invitations to come tour the branch, while everyone weighs whether or not they want to take up the opportunity to take over / use the resources of WRH for good.

I don't know exactly how these two might meet, perhaps somewhere in WRH when Buffy comes to visit, or something? I don't have any immediate and specific ideas, but I am definitely up for some plotting here if you have anything to throw into the mix.

WINIFRED BURKLE;

In this universe, Fred and Gunn never got together -- before that could happen, Angel lost his soul. Angelus tricked Fred into letting him into Giles' house, and he kidnapped her and tortured her until she was rescued by Wesley. Broken and deranged, she spent almost a year hiding in the corner of a room in Giles' house, and then the apartment in L.A. with Wesley. She has finally (mostly, but not exactly, really) recovered, and as of Christmas, she and Wesley are finally officially an item. She and Wesley will be among the last of the AI group to pack up and head overseas, as they are going to be dealing with some personal issues and with Wesley's parents and such.

I think that she and Dawn would get along wonderfully. Dawn and her have both struggled with their sense of self, of finding their place, of trying to prove to themselves and others that they are 'real' and important, and self-reliable, etc. And Fred is just awkward and goofy enough at times that she wouldn't come across as intimidating, as some of the others in the group of Scoobies, et al might.

She does, as a side note, have a grudge to bear against Willow, who tortured and nearly killed Wesley for the information on who killed Tara, and there are other secrets there between those three that might cause drama later on.

ILLYRIA;

Fred's blueberry counterpart, she has come from an alternate dimension (partway through the After the Fall comic series). She is playing quiet watch, and trying to keep the events of her own previous timeline from occurring again.

I think that she would be more than a little fascinated with Dawn, honestly. Dawn is something magical / ethereal / not quite off this world, and I think Illyria would be drawn to that sense of power that still lingers in her. What Dawn would think of her, I have no idea.

ANGEL;

Buffy's kid sister, key or no, is something that Angel will always care about, just like he will always care about Buffy, even if they aren't together anymore. He is currently involved with Yaten, a Sailor Moon character, and this has caused a great deal of tension between the three. Buffy feels like she's been replaced, Yaten feels like she's a replacement, and Angel is regretful for the hurt he's caused Buffy, while hoping that things will go differently with Yaten -- while dealing with animosity towards the two of them from the AI team who are fearful he will experience his one moment of happiness and lose his soul again because of Yaten.

p.s. at some point in the near(ish) future I also intend on picking up Vi, Xander's live in girlfriend so that should be interesting as well.

DAWN && BUFFY

Dawn loves her big sis, looks up to her and kind of wants to be just like her, but on the other hand, also wants to strangle her for being so darn overprotective. She's getting a little older now, so she probably wouldn't give Buffy quite so hard a time... unless Buffy is dead wrong, of course, in which case she's going to have to go ahead and do what's right and just deal with the consequences later. And, of course, despite insisting that she's a grown up now and can look after herself, she still misses Buffy more than she'll admit when her sister is working long hours.
Edited to add: We should definitely do a thread some time whenever you're up for it!

DAWN && JENNY

Ooh yeah. If it does come to the point where Jenny remembered everyone else but not Dawn, that'd really underscore Dawn's sensitivity when it comes to her sense of self. In the meantime, hmm. I could definitely see Dawn wanting to tag along if Buffy goes to visit WRH, and having them run into one another would be easy enough from that point. I can't think of anything more specific for them right now, but something might develop once I'm more into RP here.

DAWN && FRED

I certainly see them getting along. They're both smart girls (although Fred way outstrips Dawn here, but I think she'd admire that) who are sort of awkward and a bit clumsy and sometimes more enthusiastic than the situation warrants. And yes, as you mentioned, they've both had to struggle with who they are, and what is actually real. If they got to know each other a bit, I could see Dawn maybe opening up to Fred about that, and doubts that still sometimes remain, since Fred would be able to 'get it' in a way others can't. Maybe they could run into each other before Fred and Wesley leave ?

And if she doesn't already know about the grudge Fred bears Willow, it might be evil fun to let them become friends before she learns of that, since it'd definitely up the drama quotient and cause Dawn some internal conflict, now sort of being able to see it from both sides.

DAWN && ILLYRIA

Dawn would probably be completely freaked at first, especially if Illyria was talking about Dawn's source of power (yikes, great shades of Glory! would be her thinking), but she's been able to pretty quickly get over her initial fear and befriend demons on the show (like Clem and Spike), so I could see her being willing to give Illyria a chance if she was able to see the blueberry woman meant her no harm. Although this might be one that's easier to just play out and see what happens, since it's sort of hard to predict!

DAWN && ANGEL

I definitely see Dawn having a very complicated relationship with Angel at this point. She noticed all the pain and drama he caused Buffy back when they were dating and trying-to-be-friends, and now, from her point-of-view, here he is, back in their lives and causing Buffy yet more pain and drama. That said, I don't think she'd hate him or anything, but just be wary and disapproving of this new relationship... Things like standing around with her arms tightly crossed, glowering pointedly at him when they're all in the same room, that sort of thing. And possibly mentioning repeatedly that he isn't as cool as (chipped) Spike.

And when the Vi thing goes down, we'll definitely have to thread them as well! ;)

Hey, again! I realized I never replied to your reply. I also fail at quoting so I hope this will make sense:

Giles - He just let Buffy know that he is heading back to England and she didn't take it too well (to put it kindly). Do you want to have a thread where he stumbles into Dawn and gives her the news too?

Tara - Maybe Dawn pops by one time to hang out? She could be all nosey about how Tara got her powers back (which is something not to discuss with kids, that's for sure >.>)

Wesley - I am looking forward to have a thread in which she is getting on his every nerve xD

Chibi Chibi - I would love to have Dawn babysit her one time, see how it ends up xD

Haruka - This is one of the threads I'd like to try out soon because I'm evil like that and want to make Dawn blush like mad because of the flirting and when she realizes she flirted with a girl XD Haruka would be likely to hang out in places related to cars but we could possibly try a club? I can picture Dawn sneaking in >.> Maybe Dawn is in Tokyo? You could say she came with the team to visit Wolfram and Hart.

Yaten - Maybe we can have a three person thread with Angel?

DAWN && GILES

Aw. Yeah, definitely! Poor Dawnie and her abandonment issues aren't likely to take it much better. Would the Summers place make the most sense for their run in, or should I have her out and about somewhere?

DAWN && TARA

Can definitely see Dawn dropping by, maybe after school or on a weekend. It could be a prearranged thing, like they used to do back in the SD, or Dawn could do a surprise attack like she's done on Xander. I'm good with either.

DAWN && WESLEY

Ahaha. Yes, we'll have to arrange for this. I think she's going to have to take it upon herself to drop by AI anyway, before they go, so she has a chance to run into all these folks. And get on Wesley's nerves. <3

DAWN && CHIBI CHIBI

Okay, we'll definitely have to arrange for this some time then! Maybe trouble can strike while all the grown ups are off dealing with other stuff, and Dawn has to keep her safe or something? IDK.

DAWN && HARUKA

Yeah, I think Dawn will have to do a trip to Tokyo soon, so we can arrange for this at that point. I could definitely see her sneaking off to a club, especially in a foreign country, wanting to check out the local colour and have some fun before they head back to LA.

DAWN && YATEN

A three-person scene sounds excellent. Maybe she can run into them both together when she drops by AI before everyone heads off? Or they could run into each other out and about somewhere too. I'm good with either!

Ami: I don't remember if Ami and Dawnie have ever met. xD I think I'm the only one who's ever played Ami here, and I don't specifically remember whether or not they've ever met, but I suppose we could have them run into one another and see how it goes?

Cordy: Pretty sure they've met, but probably not on the site. lol Um, again, we could have them thread and see where it takes us?

Hotaru: Nope, they haven't met either. LOL Um. Hotaru is kind of fixating on Chibi-Chibi since her BFF (Chibiusa) is not in existence, and she's currently ten (after being reborn the last time), so I'm not sure how much she and Dawn would really have in common... She does kind of remember her other lives, but really, would Dawn want to hang around with a ten year old? xD

Spike: I'm pretty sure we know this. He looked after Dawnie while Buffy was off being dead and stuff. She had that crush on him once upon a time. Not sure how Dawn would react to the news that he's been siring people (or even able to bite people at all), so that could cause some potential drama... I don't know. Any thoughts?

DAWN && AMI

Well, since I'm new here, I certainly don't mind assuming they just haven't run into one another yet. That said, I'm game for having them cross paths somewhere now and see how things go.

DAWN && CORDY

Yeah, at the very least, I guess they'd both have fake memories of Dawn being around as the annoying little sister back when Cordy ran with the Scoobies. I'm not sure how exactly they'd get on. DAWN && HOTARU

Yeah, not sure how much Dawn would have in common with someone so young. I'm sure she'd be nice and stuff, but she's more used to being the baby of the group, not playing the big sis role. It could be novelty or it might not work out at all. But I'm not really sure what would bring them together in the first place.

DAWN && SPIKE

Ooh yeah. Definite drama there, I think. Dawn always adored Spike when she was younger... The idea that he's siring people again would really burst that bubble. That not only is he able to bite, but actually doing it... She'd feel like he's sort of let her down. And probably stupid enough not to be terribly afraid for herself. Any ideas on how she might come to find out he's back on the blood?


And Yaten, I'll see what I can come up with for one of those pairings. They all sound fun, so shouldn't be too hard!
