They were the Dark Ages...
It's the year 1998, and it seems the clouds are growing darker by the second. Under the leadership of Rolan Mathias Dement, the school of Hogwarts is in a state of crisis, student murders, and at such a random occurance. Authorities cannot detect the cause for the devastations however. The time goes on, a few pickings of students dying throughout the years. As the course of the year comes to an end, authorities find the attacker. And it's no other than the Headmaster himself - Rolan Mathias Dement. The proof is all there, and the charges are even admitted by the Headmaster. He's immediately sacked, and is then arrested for the experimentation of illegal magical curses, a new form that most wizarding officials do not recognize. Symptoms involve the draining of the magic within the blood, the wizard's life along with it. Under captivity however, he escapes, and not until a following day later, do they find him. Location: an abandoned muggle home, eyes wide open, skin pale and cold.

May 5th 1998, it is widely announced throughout the wizarding world the following printed letters. "Rolan Mathias Dement, Former Headmaster of Hogwarts, has been found dead. Causes: Suicide".

A Start of a New Beginning
And so the renaissance of Hogwarts begins, and the runner up to the Hogwarts throne makes his way. It's a man by the name of Gowan Kennedy Ethelinge, former Transfiguration and Charms professor, and at the time, was Deputy Headmaster. Gladly, he takes up the position and ever since the appointing of the new Headmaster, the sun finally shines behind the darkened clouds. A new light resonates on Hogwarts, and it's easy to say that Ethelinge is definately one of the more better Headmasters that Hogwarts had ever had.

2008, another regular year, and Hogwarts has regained great standards of student safety and learning experience. But Gowan receives a letter from his owl that particular summer. There has been some baffling news at the ministry that he was required at. But what was so dangerous about this hand held mirror? Whatever it was, it caused the death of 4 muggles, 2 ordinary wizards, and now 23 aurors. Something had to be done. It was obviously cursed, but they needed a powerful wizard to come along and to destroy it.

Previous attempts ended fatally. It took a bit of time, but after enough examination, the deed was done, and Gowan Ethelinge was the first wizard to survive this mirror of death. But why would someone curse such a mirror? The only tie to anything mildly strange was that it was found among the rubble in the empty house that had been the site of Dement’s deathbed. But what was so strange about that? The man was dead and had been for ten years now, he couldn’t have any possible motive for it...

But things aren't always kept quiet...
But everything was done. The mirror had been broken, and the deed completed. ...But Ethelinge couldn’t help but feel strange leaving there that day. There was no specification, no real adjective to describe it...but something was definately different. Little did everyone know, that something interesting would arise from this new feeling, and the nightmares that would later occur. But students aren't aware of this. To them, it's just another year. Another great adventure...

One that would be one of the most thrilling rides for the students of Hogwarts School Of Witchcraft and Wizadry.
