Just a couple of quick announcements.
1) You will notice that the forums are looking more than a little blue. That is simply because my eyes could no longer cope with the blue-text-on-grey that has been the style since this board was created. If anyone dislikes the new colour scheme, please tell me and i shall dutifully ignore you (and by that, i mean put it back the way it was). 2) Once your eyes have adjusted to the blue glare, you may notice that most of the forums are now missing. You are mistaken. I've had a little bit of a tidy up, simply so that it's easier to see everything - the forums towards the bottom were being neglected. Changes include: - Plot Development, Character Development and Outstanding Ideas are now part of Authors University - Authors University is now found in Writings Discussion - Fanfiction is also found in Writings Discussion - All RPG forums and threads are in the Role Playing Games category, which is now below the Authors United Category - Life advice, Lifestyle and Romance are now part of the new Life forum - The new Life forum is now part of the Authors United category - Any unused forums such as short stories discussion, Write-Idol and AUNoWriBiMo have been deleted, thank god - The journalism forum is now Misc, cos it's where the unused forums were before i deleted them and i can't be bothered to change it back - The category previously known as Fun is now The Realm of Random. Just because. - Everything else remains the same - ...i think 3) COMPETITION TIME! I'm starting to think that having Authors United -> Authors United -> Authors United looks a little silly at the top of the screen. I want a new name for this general chatty bit - the best name will be immortalised in pixel form forever. Post suggestions here! -------------------- DO YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A DINOSAUR EATS COW VINDALOO, THEN EATS TWO AND A HALF TONNES OF MINT CHOC ICE CREAM, FOLLOWED BY 400 CRATES OF ORANGE ICE POPS AND SWILLS THE WHOLE THINGS DOWN WITH 2,000 GALLONS OF A POPULAR FIZZY DRINK?

Lol. Well i'm afraid i can't help it. It seems the better the computer, the worse the forum looks. On my laptop, for example, it looks fine, but on my mac at the office it looks a little blurred. Sorry.

Hi, The Thought Fox! I didn't know you ran things around here. But then again, I don't know much about this place yet. That's why I'm a newby!
I like the blue, although it would be neat if each forum had its own bright color. It would make each one unique and beautiful if the right colors were chosen. Although, really bright colors might be hard on the eyes. |

Lol, i'm afraid the whole forum is controlled by one style sheet, so any changes affect everything. We originally had light blue writing on a white background, but after a year or so, i realised i couldn't read it anymore!
