I think we can safely say that Contest #9 is over, so I'll let aleana judge that at her discretion. For now, I'll start another contest.
First Person Perspective In the mutterings on the forum, it's become clear that a number of you, myself included, are considering (or have started) branching into the First-Person Perspective. So, here's a nice general contest: Write 1,000 in the first-person perspective and the best one wins a nice shiny 50 points. Any genre, any setting, anything you want. Good luck, all TIPS, RULES AND OTHER STUFF: 1. 1,000 words only (give or take 100 either way) 2. Entries will be marked and judged when I can be bothered. My decision is final, so there. 3. ONE ENTRY PER MEMBER 4. I've given up fighting this; comment may be made in this thread 5. Nope, can't think of a fifth rule. Legal, technical and general hoo-hah: - The judges decision (i.e. mine) is final. You don't like it? Go find Lugana! - I shall accept bribes. I start the bidding at £1,000,000, a publishing contract and an XBox 360. - The rules will be obeyed or there shall be Repurcussions (muahaha, etc.) ENTRIES TO BE IN BY: End of April -------------------- DO YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A DINOSAUR EATS COW VINDALOO, THEN EATS TWO AND A HALF TONNES OF MINT CHOC ICE CREAM, FOLLOWED BY 400 CRATES OF ORANGE ICE POPS AND SWILLS THE WHOLE THINGS DOWN WITH 2,000 GALLONS OF A POPULAR FIZZY DRINK?

Given that no one has entered yet, yes. By all means make an entry - I'd like to keep these contests going.

It's unfortunate that no one has entered the contest yet. You would think that a few entries would be submitted by now. I wish I had the time to write a piece for the contest, but unfortunately, I'm swamped right now. Maybe before April I can write something and paste it here if the contest is still going. Yeah, pride.
Back when this place was more active, we added to the post count as a 'score'. So a prize of 50 points would see 50 posts added to your count.
