  • Wait for the item to get announced in raid as up for bid. Do not post bids early.
  • Bids must start at or above the minimum bid for a raid. (25 mans is 25, 10 mans is 10)
  • Bids must go up by increments of ten or more.
  • Post all bids in raid chat for all to see. No whispers or otherwise.
  • Be quick. Know your DKP and upgrades before the raid, including how much DKP they are worth to you. We will not wait for you to compare in the middle of raid.
  • When a countdown has finished, the bidding is over and loot is distributed. Winners must take the loot for the amount they bid. No backtracking or trying to reduce your bid.

For Main Set Bids

[Death's Verdict] has dropped.

The Raid Leader will announce the item up for bid in vent and post it in raid. S/he may also limit who is allowed to bid on something based on what an item is designated for class/raiding spec wise.

Raid Leader: "Now taking bids for [Death's Verdict]. Open to Melee DPS & Hunters"

Pyp: 25
Baredice: 35
Kell: 55
Hyd: 65
Pyp: 100

After bids have seemed to slow down the Raid Leader will offer a countdown for any last bids.

Raid Leader: "Going to Pyp in 3..2..1... Grats Pyp."
Pyp receives [Death's Verdict].

For Off-Set Bids:

Simply designate that your bid is for a secondary set. There is no need to bid for off-set if there are other bids however as main set will always win out over off.

[Wall of Terror] has dropped.

Raid Leader: "Now taking bids for [Wall of Terror]. Open to Tanks"

Furyman: 25 off
Daegus: 25

Raid Leader: "Going to Daegus in 3..2..1... Grats Daegus."
Daegus receives [Wall of Terror].

In the event that no one needs a piece for main set, obviously the offset bid will win the item, rather than it getting sharded.

D K P . F A Q

The following is a collection of frequently asked questions members may have about our DKP system.

All polices and rules can be found in further detail in our main loot system post HERE unless otherwise noted, but this is intended to be a quick guide to both basic and complex scenarios alike.

~~~~~ B I D D I N G ~~~~~
What is a minimum bid?
Every item in a raid starts at this number. You cannot win an item for anything less.
It is currently 25 DKP for 25 man raids, and 10 DKP for 10 man raids.
How do I know how much DKP I have?
Check the guild website prior to and during raids at http://www.adevel.net/dkp.
Can I use the DKP I am earning in a raid to bid on items that drop during the same raid?
No. The only DKP you can use for bids is the amount you have going into a raid. The DKP you earn in any given raid counts towards the next raid only.
Can I bid on an item if I have zero (or less) DKP?
You can always bid the minimum bid, however you cannot bid more than that.
Can I go negative in DKP?
Overbidding is never allowed. However if you have zero DKP (or less) and bid minimums, it is possible to go negative and there is no limit to how far in the red you go should this occur several times.
What happens if I overbid?
You should be aware of your DKP before you bid and this should not be an issue. Mistakes happen, but knowingly overbidding on an item will bar you from taking loot in the future. Bottom line is to know your DKP.
When I bid DKP on an item and lose, do I still lose the DKP I bid?
No, only the person who wins the bidding war will actually be charged any DKP.
I don't have enough DKP to bid up someone by ten. Can I still bid?
Because the DKP available to you isn't always divisible by ten, you can bid up by less only if you are at the point of maxxing out your DKP.
Can I ever /roll for an item during a raid?
No. We use DKP for all items.
What if I just want it for off-spec?
Nope.
But what if no one else wants it?
Then it's better off as a shard. We take the stance that if don't believe it's worth spending DKP on an item, then it's not really worth giving to you.
But...
DKP, DKP, D-K-P.
Can I buy an item off someone who has won a bid?
Absolutely not and anyone who is found either selling/buying/trading loot or otherwise, and subverting the DKP system will find themselves in some serious trouble.
What happens during guild pick-up runs (aka non progression/unscheduled content)?
This is the only time rolls are allowed, but members are always allowed to spend DKP to secure an item they need, beginning with the minimum bid for that raid. This is to ensure actual upgrades are not lost on account of luck and haphazard rolls. For more info read: http://z3.invisionfree.com/Arrested_Develo...p?showtopic=929
~~~~~ L O O T ~~~~~

I have 2 specs and want to get gear for both.
Sorry. A raid member is recruited for one spec alone and that is the only spec you are ever given priority on for loot. Everything else is considered your secondary spec.

Am I allowed to bid on armor type that I typically don't wear? (IE: Leather Wearers bidding on Cloth, etc.)
Generally speaking, no, not until the classes who are limited to that armor type have gotten it first. It is considered a secondary piece for you if better loot exists for you in your own armor type. There are occasionally exceptions and this is deferred to the Raid Leader/Master Looter.

What if an upgrade drops and the Raid Leader doesn't include my class in who can bid?
Speak up. It may just be an oversight. If you have legitimate need for something, we will not deny you the opportunity to bid.

If I have a blue item (or otherwise poor quality piece), don't I have more need to loot than others?
No. This is high-end content. We expect everyone's needs to be competitive. If you have poor-quality gear for whatever reason, you should be upgrading it outside of raids. True "need" is when you can't upgrade any further unless you get X loot off that particular boss.

What if I think I'm getting gouged or cheated out of loot?
The very basis of DKP is that you only have as much to spend as you have earned and budgeted for yourself. Never feel like you are getting jipped intentionally out of something; the guild needs you geared well as much as you do. If you think there's an actual problem, speak up instead of sulking. We'll check into it.

~~~~~ M I S C ~~~~~
How do keys go out?
Any item that leads to a key, regardless of what else it may be tied to, goes first to the Raid Leader(s)/GM or Officers, and then generally to a MT before it is released for general bids. This is to ensure the guild has multiple ways of accessing any content at any point in the future.
How do bags (for your inventory) go out?
An Officer will do a /roll 1-25. Whoever is that number slot in the raid group wins the bag. (IE: Roll is 1, The first person in the first group is raid slot 1 and is awarded the bag.) We do this because we don't want DKP going towards vanity items, and to avoid having 25 /rolls to sift through.
How do bags (with profession mats) go out?
These go to the Officer/Guild Representatives who have the profession and are then put towards guild use or transferred to the guild bank.
How do designs/patterns/etc go out?
Officers/Long-Standing Guild Representatives exist for each profession. They are automatically awarded these first, to ensure they are available for guild-crafting. After these members have them, they are given out free of charge to those other crafters in the guild who need it.
How do raid-dropped mounts go out?
Seniority = Priority. We treat mounts as guild trophies of a sort and want to reward members who are with us for the long-term. Please see our post regarding these and ensure you are on the list prior to any drop.
