As word has it right now there is going to be a huge contigent of people in Battlestar Galactica costumes this year at Dcon 07. With that said is anyone planning to jump on the banwagon?

I hope to have my BSG costume ready by then. My sewing mojo has left the building at the moment.

That is awesome!

As it stands right now I'm getting duty blues and trying to work on a marine set! Also a few people are trying to talk me into doing a version or two of Balter but the jury is still out on that one! I really don't want to do a costume where I have to be with someone else for people to get it.......been asked too many times who am I and from what when I'm alone in Aragorn.

That's sad. It's not like he's an obscure character or that your costume isn't any good.

I won't be doing any BSG. I haven't seen it either.

I picked up some fabric today that I may end up using. It's a navy twill, but its still a bit too bright for my liking. I bought a 1/4 of a yard to see how well it would take some dye to see if I can't get it a bit darker. Since it's a 100% cotton I think it would do okay. Also picked up some muslin so I can start to draft out the top of the duty blues.

lotr_gandalf.gif That’s ridiculous. You have a splendid costume, but do not feel alone. Even I, Gandalf, sometimes get mistaken for Merlin or have to be asked who I am supposed to be. Most surprising at a science fiction / fantasy convention.
I love BSG, but I am old school. I could only see myself as a classic Cylon or Colonial Warrior. Now that’s a change for an old wizard.

Well if you want to get in on the BSG goodness, here's a board I'm part of. You might even recognize a couple people there. http://www.colonialfleet.org/quorum/

Also, I'll be doing the Duty uniform, the Viper Pilot uniform and a possible secret one for the last night.

I would not be surprised to see at least one. There is someone from the 501st whom I've seen locally and at DC and he has a Cylon costume.

There were a couple of Colonial Viper pilots walking around last year.

I'm planning on having my blues done. Still need to get the pins and buttons, but I'm going to get started on it right away. (After I finish the POTC ride redhead dress).

Yep I'm going to do my best to go this year!

I've been watching BSG from the beginning, and now I've met some of the cast thanks to Spat. I am doing one of these outfits (but not Cara):

It won't be exact, but pretty close...
