Fan Listing for Orli - http://fan.leftmyheart.org/john/ About Tolkien ----------------- http://www.tolkiensociety.org/ "- The Tolkien Society is an international organisation registered in the U. K. as an educational charity, number 273809. Our aim is to encourage and further interest in the life and works of the late Professor J.R.R. Tolkien C.B.E., author of two of the most well-known and best-loved books of the late 20th century, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. This site has information about JRR Tolkien (not, as often stated, JRR Tolkein), the books he wrote, his life, books others have written about him, our Society and its events, and a host of other items that you can find in the sections below. We also work with Tolkien Society Trading, which has a mail order list of books and many other items connected with Tolkien's works. " http://www.zoomavant.com/dossier/02/thelor...vers/auteur.htm Site on Tolkien in french. Good Book refrence sites. ----------------------------- http://www.tolkienonline.com/ http://www.tolkien.co.uk/frame.asp To Buy things. ------------------ http://www.sideshowtoy.com/cgi-bin/categor...tegory=lotrhome (Sideshow has statues and tons of good stuff) http://www.noblecollection.com/catalog/catalog.cfm?catid=17 Noble collection, awesome stuff, expensive, but if you have the money really worth it. Just Fun ---------- http://orlandomultimedia.net/diary/ninediary.html Fun accounts by the actors and other stories that happened (not sure where refrences come from on this or maybe I missed it but the stories seem close enough if not on what we hear from the dvds, and some are others I hadnt heard until read there) -------------------------- Anything else I missed ( oh I'm sure I did) or big sites I should have put up that I missed please do Or any favorite sites..... I'd love to see them, just remember to put up whats on them and not surprise anyone heh.... (warnings please) If you really like someones fansite and have the money to spend, give donations, they work hard to bring you the things they do and its worth pitching a few bucks in to help them spend the time to please you with stuff and keep up their bandwidth. As I'd hope someone would do for you. Remember if the sites you put up have a lot of pop-ups and arn't really well done, sometimes its better not to share them, though if they do have a lot of good stuff its okay to post them just warn people agianst heavy machinery useage, some people have slow computer's and dont appreciate heavy pop ups. (I dont and my computer isnt so slow but with tons of those they will be) Think I have a lot of time on my hands? http://www.angelfire.com/film/rings/links.html Later I'll put up some links about each character and their history and such, I know they are out there i just need sleep now, more later. -Maddy -------------------- ![]() (Icon made by Exemplar, borrowed from http://www.livejournal.com/community/__sca...ew=32561#t32561 ) |

Wow Maddy!! Quite a list!
Something else I wanted to add about CouncilofElrond.com is that they have an excellent language section for anybody interested in elvish. The names databases are also quite extensive - there's one for Sindarin, Quenya, and Rohirric/Old English (I work translating on the Sindarin one). Anybody interested in the languages should also sign up for the Elfling mailing list. Here are some other good pages: Ardalambion webpage, done by Helge K. Fauskanger Dragonflame Sindarin dictionary, done by Didier Willis Gwaith-i-Phethdain - "Fellowship of the Word Smiths." It has all the movie and soundtrack translations broken down, plus all of Tolkien's translations and original compositions and translations. |

Wow, awesome links y'all!
Tolkien Online is one of my favorites, though they don't update the Main as often as other sites. Another of my favorites is Angels and Elves |

I use to always get pictures for my LotR graphics from War of the Ring.net, until they completely screwed up their photo section :\. I liked how it was before.
Encyclopedia of Arda: One of the BEST Tolkien sites around. If you need a name or a definition of any thing Tolkien created, you can find all that information here. Its quite extensive. Nine Companions.net: Random funny little things and movie multimedia Quenya - English Dictionary: hundreds of Quenya words translated into English. Elven Phrases: Lots of Elven phrases that you can incoperate into your daily speech Elven Names: A place where you can find your name and translate what it is in Elvish. The Barrow Downs: Extensive Tolkien site with lots of little things to do. LotR Trailer Music: A site that gives the names of the pieces that can be heard in all the LotR trailers. Elven Kingdom Emblems: Nice list of Elven and Human race emblems...(good for banner ideas and so forth) Emblems and Heraldry: Another excellent site for emblems, and it has more races of Arda emblems! -------------------- |

One of the best fanfiction sites out there is www.storiesofarda.com . Most of the really good stories end up there and it's got no ads or popups and a very good search engine. I go there several times a week.

Well, I just came across a website that is pretty interesting. It's called The Nit Picker's Guide to the Lord of the Rings. Here's the link: http://jackflannel.org/lotr . I was reading it a few days ago and was surprised at some of the things he posted and then of course there were things that I already knew.
