Where are you guys searching for pics already at? The main site has nothing so far and more than likely they won't for a month or so........

Mike, the DragonCon LiveJournals are full of people already posting their links...

And if you go to www.flickr.com and search for DragonCon2006 you get like 1,700 pictures already from the Con that are tagged with that. :)

From the Pony's Mouth -- Here's the best way to browse the DragonCon Pics

(1) Go to http://www.flickrleech.net/, click the SEARCH option at the top, and search for "DragonCon2006". This will scour Flickr for ALL pics tagged with that, and display them as a page FULL of thumbnails, which is MUCH easier to browse than the 12 pictures per page that Flickr itself will show you. (About 2000 Pics have been posted so far.)

(2) Browse the DragonCon LiveJournal group. You'll have to wade through the usual "Best Con EVAR!" or "Hey Hot Chick Wearing Duct Tape Bikini--Email me!" posts, but there's a lot of pics to be had if you can stomach it.

Gandalf the Grey, that is one of my favorite also. It was great to meet you and to hang out as much as we did, can't wait till next time! I might have to talk some of you into making Mega Con in Feburary!

I've actually considered MegaCon. I have a ticket to Orlando just sitting around for my use since my Disney World trip was cancelled. Can you give me some more info (other than the URL) that would persuade me to get my butt there? Plus it falls on our birthday weekend, and I always like to do something special for our birthdays.

Gimli & I might go to Mega-Con. We both live in Orlando area. I know she went last year. I only went to FX in January, which was awesome.

A reason to go is that it is a smaller con so there are not a ton of people there. There are some costumes but not a ton so the people in costume get allot of attention. Plus with the right group you can have alot of fun, with it being smaller it is easier to find people plus unlike Dcon there are only events done during the day so your night is yours. There is a ton of stuff to do since you are in Orlando, plus I'll be there! I might be working most of the time in artist alley but that hasn't been set in stone yet.

On the flip side I might try to make FX for the first time b/c I heard that Christopher Lee and Elijah Wood are possiblities of being guests! I'm going to have to check into that alittle more so please don't quote me on it, also if you hear otherwise let me know!

I'll be there, and I would LOVE to not only costume for it but have someone to hang out with other than just my rugrats. My hubby is an autograph hound and spends all of his time at the con in autograph lines. And artist lines. ETC.

Keep me posted as to whether or not you're going, please.

FX was a yawn-fest for me last year. But, Christopher Lee?!!!!! That would be awesome! I would definitely go if he was going to be there.

I've also decided that cons are much more fun when you're in costume and with a group. So I may be going to that one, too.

I'm going to Mega Con deffinatly, it's just a matter of if I'm going to be walking around in costume or working with a comic book group in artist alley. That is still undetermined at this point, but from the sounds of it I might be doing both. Either way I'll be there! :strider:
