I've gone back to the early chapters of mine, to fix all the big holes where in November I wrote "Fix this later"! biggrin.gif When it's done I should be able to get on with going forwards again.

I have also managed to fix the huge plot problem I had, which was causing me major grief. Huzzah!

I've hit kind of a plot wall, which is a big problem, because I have this cool beginning and no middle or end. I can't think of what to do next. While I have an event map, I don't really have a good way of doing it and describing everything. I could always just sift through it slowly, making my way through the middle, and the end will probably be easier.

It's sitting idle at 32,668 words right now, and the last 2,600 or so were added last night and today. I'm thinking too much to write a lot at a time.

I tend to write out each scene I intend to write on a separate piece of paper and put them in order, then just write. Quite often they'll reorder themselves, or turn out to have things between them I wasn't expecting.

I think the best thing to do is - don't think, just write. You can always go back and fix shit later.

I'm well up over the 40K mark. Hoping to get to 50K by the end of the month.

I've not even hit 60K, three months after the end of NaNo (which I won). sad.gif

Which might have a lot to do with me cutting a couple of whole chapters once I realised I wasn't bothering with that plotline.

Okay, I'm almost at 50K. I've got 46K. But to be fair, I was unable to write for over a week during this month. So we'll see. If I get enough time, I'll play with this story until it's 50K by April 4th.

In any case, it's coming along.

Mine's coming along slowly but surely. I'm currently writing 15 minutes a day, in order to keep the momentum going. If I skip a day, I add the time onto the next day's output.

I'm still wondering how I made 50K in November. :s

Currently I've got three mercenaries out of the ground, and I've come up with a reason for the magical attack on them that I knew was going to happen but couldn't work out why. And Dastenin is starting to realise that he loves Nico, but is denying it. Silly boy. smile.gif

Most importantly I'm still enjoying it, and the folks at work are now firmly convinced I'm a lunatic.

So I'm currently plodding through typing things up. My computer was offline for about four days so I did everything by hand - and now I have a mountain of pages to do.

I'm also writing short stories in my lunch break at work, so I don't get bored with only writing one thing. I may even pluck up the courage to put one on here one day! biggrin.gif
