Here is the start of my display base and my army. The left side is mostly done on the display base. I just need to add some autumn foliage like I use on the figure bases and patches of static grass after I figure out the best spots to do so. The pumpkin patch is the free woods, and is magnetized and removable from the base. The corn rows are actually from Michael's and have eyes that light up in various spots, so it's kind of cool. The barn was just made of foam core and balsa and I threw it together in a couple hours on a Sunday afternoon with no pattern or anything, though I did have some experience building one from back in '92 from a pattern out of an old-ass White Dwarf. I'm really satisfied with the way the barn turned out as far as the painting goes as well. Just some Foundation Machrite Red drybrush and the roof was a couple shades of gray over a coat of black primer. The outline is framed with a set of the Warhammer fences and walls, and I used GF-9 Rubber sheet steel to make spots for the skirmishers to keep them in place when moving the tray around. All said and done, it's about $700.00 worth of models without taking into account the display base materials. >_< THis is in large part due to the amount of Freebooter models used, and the two treemen at $62.00 apiece.

Treeman (Finally got a good picture)

Highborn (I'm really satisfied with how this model turned out. Will try to get better pics later.)

Spellsinger (This one turned out very nice as well)

Wardancer Champion (I know, the dress is too restrictive to be a Wardancer, but the model is too cool not to use. The model next to her is the unit musician as she has a pipe flute hanging from her belt. That model is nowhere near being done.)

See, maybe if it was a flaming flying kitty I can see actually worshipping it. After all, flight and fire are two of mans greatest inventions. For a cat to harness both would be seriously impressive.

Update: The pumpkin patch (Free woods) is done, and the Treeman in the pic was a WIP. I just finished spray coating it now that it's finished, and just needs the base flocked tomorrow after it dries. I really like the way the base decoration turned out. It doesn't signify anything in particular, I just wanted something on the base so it wouldn't look so plain. (And yes, he is giving the middle finger salute. biggrin.gif)

Updates if anyone cares...

Here are some more pics:

Pumiced and painted left side of base; units now with Branchnymphs. I Plan to add flocking to the display base to line up with what's on the figure bases, but that will come last after all the models are painted.

I really like your work here. Excellent.

Tis a shame I can not face your little pumpkins across the table-top.
