Okay I have this project due where I have to invent a product and sell it: My idea is a program that can take more than on CD for computers, and turn it into one. THis program is for strictly game. There is no other project like this. There's one that does DVD's but not game CDs. You put the CD in the CD drive and it copies all the info on the CD to the program. Then after you get all the info you need onto the CD click "Convert" and it will ask you to put the CD in and then bam, all the sutff is on that on "megadisk": Does this sound good? Or any comments? kakashi.gif THANKS!

I see many potential problems with this, obviously the first one being the limited space capacity on the CD. Also, lets say you were to merge 2-3 games into 1 "megadisk" and you pop it into your computer to install. How would your computer know which one you want to install? If you have to manually pick out which files you want to put back onto your computer, then how's that any different than burning a plain old data disk?

And finally, if you want to merge patch/update files into a game with this said program, that's called slipstreaming. There are dozens of programs out there that already does this, so it's not exactly original.

Okay how does this one sound: All right, my idea is a program that can take more than one CD for computers, and turn it into one. This program is for strictly games only. There is no other product like this on the market. You first install the program, and then you install the game you want on the disk onto the program with all the patches. The “mega disk” can only hold up to 15GB. When you download all the games you want into the program, click “convert” and it can put all the games onto one mega disk and the other CDs can’t detect the other games on the mega disk. The main screen has the things that you installed in different spots, like a folder. You click the game you want to play and then it opens: Please comment! kakashi.gif

Please ellaborate on what you just wrote because I still have no idea what you're trying to do. Here's what I understand so far:

Once you install this program onto your computer, you can then mount games directly to the software up to 15GB. There is a conversion feature that allows you to compress everything to a 700MB CD. This CD is now a megadisk. When you insert this megadisk into a computer, a menu will pop up enabling users to select which games they want to play. No further installation is required.

And here's what I'm not getting:

It is impossible to compress a 15GB image file to a 700MB CD. It is even more impossible to INSTALL a game onto a CD. No software in the world can do this, not even yours.
