as for the others, we'll see how they are when they air.

I had really high expectations for this season, but a large handful of the new anime have already proved to be quite disappointing. Of course, this is not to say that all of them are bad. The spinoff/sequels are almost guaranteed to be good...what I'm referring to are the new startup series. Here are my comments on what came out so far:

1) C3 - Very mediocre for an eroge adaptation. The art looks pretty, but everything else is just meh.

2) Maji de Koi ni Shinasai - The premise of this series is so stupid and it's done in such a way that it leaves a very bad aftertaste. I'm on the verge of dropping this.

3) Phi Brain - This has potential to be a great shounen anime. However, the whole "puzzle solving is serious business" theme is quite a turn off. If you love Professor Layton & Yugioh, this could be the anime for you. Otherwise, you might want to stay away from this.

4) Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon - This anime is very well animated. The biggest problem though, is its convoluted storyline. It's so difficult to grasp what's going on 90% of the time, that at some point you just stop caring. Judging from the complexity of the light novels, I'm afraid that the execution of the anime will turn into a huge mess.

Hopefully the other new anime originals will fare much better, especially Guilty Crown...

So far the only one I am looking forward to is Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi 2.
