Appearance:
Kamiana proudly sports a lustrous coat, spattered with bright hues of white, brown, and orange. Dark brown crowns her head, fading to orange beneath her eyes. The top of her muzzle is the same orange color but with a few distinguishing white spots thrown in. Her cheeks are white, spreading down into a collage of orange, brown, and white that rings her thin neck. Her back is mostly brown save for the white specs that run down her spine, looking very similar to snow. A blend of white and orange covers her belly and slender legs, and all the colors of her coat gather on her tail. Her eyes are dark auburn, the color only apparent in bright sunlight. Kamiana’s body is slight, but that by no means makes her vulnerable. Her muscles are competent and her figure is slim, maximizing her agility. Still in her young years, her senses haven’t faded.

Personality:
No one has ever known Kamiana completely. Her behavior is so varied and unpredictable that her acquaintances may only like her for one side of her personality. When dealing with strangers or during the rare times she’s feeling insecure, she becomes very stern and the wrong words can lead to dangerous consequences. She usually acts this way because she believes she is losing control or her dominant side is softening.
There is one side to Kamiana that others generally prefer, when she is more or less pleasant to be around. She often interjects with quirky remarks, and it’s sometimes hard to tell if she is being sarcastic or serious.
Unfortunately, she often tries to be the problem solver in situations out of her control. When she does manage to stop a dispute, her solutions are harsh but fair. She frequently helps others without being asked, and she always keeps track of the times she gives assistance for when she’s in need of it herself. Kamiana’s acute memory aids in that task.
Overall, Kamiana is quite odd, but most find some way to deal with her. Her mixed personalities and emotions are a product of her past. Those who eventually get to really know her can only barely predict her actions.
History:
Kamiana had a very strange and confusing past. Many places and people close to her changed drastically before her eyes. She has been hurt, abandoned, and angry all too often, and all of it caused by the ones closest to her.
It really all started with her birth. She was the last born of her mother’s first litter. But then she was the only female of the litter, for her sister Sahirah died soon after birth. Kamiana was never told as she grew older that she once had a sister. Her parents were lone wolves chased out of a pack for disobeying the alphas, just before Malia gave birth. They thought it pointless to put Kamiana in despair for losing a sister she never even saw.
So life went on, but just barely. They kept up their search for a pack that would accept the new family. But very few were successful enough to fit the family in, and even fewer were kind enough to not run them off the territory immediately. Hope was never lost however, and they kept on searching, raising Kamiana and her 2 brothers, Maybyn and Tarun, along the way.
Suddenly, the father turned against them. He was tired of being rejected because of his useless family and ignoring his mating instincts because they wouldn’t be able to keep the pups alive. Malia tried to stop him from leaving, but his desperate rage consumed him. Ruthlessly, he raped Malia then murdered his first born son, Mabyn. With Malia unconscious, Mabyn lying dead, and Kamiana and Tarun hiding to avoid their father’s rampage, Fallon abandoned them all.
Fortunately, during their travels Malia taught her offspring something of herbs. Tarun and Kamiana set out to find an herb that would strengthen and revitalize their mother. But they knew no amount of herb could revive their beloved Mabyn, so after their mother awakened, they buried him.
About a month later, still traveling to find an accepting pack, pregnancy began to show in Malia. They all knew they would need to find a pack soon, or have to kill the pups after birth. Kamiana and Tarun forged a strong bond between them now, and their mother looked after them with tender love for the first time. By now, Malia’s first offspring with the despicable Fallon were over a year old. All memories of their father were willingly locked away deep in their minds, never to emerge again.
At long last, they found a pack that accepted the family. It was a very joyous occasion for them, and only weeks later Malia birthed her second litter of pups. Tarun and Kamiana gained low ranks among the pack, but they overly grateful for them all the same. It was the first good thing that had happened to the unfortunate family since Kamiana was born.
A year passed by, and Kamiana climbed her way to Gamma along with Tarun. Her mother was trusted by the alpha pair and became a Beta. Malia found a new mate, Syaoran, a first son of the alphas, and they had 2 litters of pups together. Kamiana fell for a younger son of the alphas, Edan, and they too became mates.
Since the alphas trusted Malia greatly, and Syaoran was their son, they gave up their reign to the pair. Kamiana and Edan were appointed the betas, but Tarun was not as successful. As the pack realized he was a weaker wolf, they regarded him as insignificant. Soon he was the omega of the pack, and unwilling to lose her rank and her pack, Kamiana never defended him.
Unable to bear it anymore, Tarun ran from the pack, never to be seen again. He had quite enough of being treated like dirt and his sister doing nothing to stop it. Her rank was obviously more important to her than her brother, and his mother cared more for her latest litter of pups then her first ones. So he left it all behind.
Kamiana was devastated. She was filled with regret at failing to stop her brother’s torture and losing him in the process. But Edan had always disliked Tarun and was angry with Kamiana for wasting her energy on mourning for her useless brother. Her mother didn’t even seem to care, too preoccupied with her job as an alpha.
Only weeks before had Kamiana been impregnated by Edan for the first time. Edan’s anger didn’t vanish as his mate continued to mourn for her lost brother, and he continued to abuse Kamiana out of sight of the pack. Pack members began to think she was going crazy with sorrow and getting to countless accidents, but it was all Edan’s doing.
It wasn’t long before a plan formulated in Kamiana’s mind. She decided after her litter arrived, she would abandon the pack, leaving behind her pups for Edan to care for. That would be punishment enough for him. She wished she could do more damage, but she had once tried to stand up to him and failed. She learned to hide her remorse somewhat now, and her wounds were beginning to heal, her ‘accidents’ becoming less frequent.
When the warm spring night her puppies were born came, she recovered her strength quickly and fled into the dark. No one knew of her departure until the morning, and Edan was furious. He killed 2 of the pups in a raging frenzy, severely wounding the third. The pack was able to heal the surviving pup, the pack thoroughly surprised at this change from polite, courteous wolf to crazy animal.
It was all scarily similar to Fallon’s fury, and it drew out Malia’s memory of the incident from the vaults of her mind. She banned Edan from the pack at once, though the rest of the pack did not know why nor would she tell them. He attempted to attack Malia in his anger at the order and was easily stopped by Syaoran. Then the pack members turned against Edan as the witnesses of treason, and he was driven from the territory along with his son.
Kamiana was torn up inside for having to abandon her first offspring and first love, no matter how horrible it had all been. She assumed Edan would kill the pups, but not bother to chase after her. It would be awhile until she would find another place to belong, but she wouldn’t give up.
