I was really worried that Sam wasn't the dad when I started reading, but so glad he is. They are getting along alot better although there still not living together, that's not a bad things because there taking things slowly but that's better than nothing. Sounds like Sam and Connie's friends did a lovely job on the nursery.
Amazing, and beautiful part, I always love your writing and find it a pleasure to read.x biggrin.gif

I think this might be the end, it seems a good place to leave it, and I don't want it going on forever. There may be a sequel, possibly.
For everyone who's read/replied

It had been almost three months since Oliver had been discharged from hospital. Connie had just bathed the children and was half way through putting them to bed when she heard a knock on the door. She laid Oliver in his crib before going to answer the door Wanting to know who it was Georgie moved to sit on the top step, Ben following close behind. “Sam” Connie gasped, finding Sam stood on her doorway, a large bag in each hand, “I can’t do this any more Connie” he told her. Connie looked felt her heart sink, Sam was leaving, she blinked back tears as Sam continued “I can’t go on pretending that I don’t love you, I can’t pretend that I don’t spend every waking minute thinking of you, because I do Connie, I love you more than I’ve ever loved another person, and I do spend every waking minute thinking about you, wanting to be with you. I love you Connie, and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, I want you to be my wife”. Sam dropped his bags on the floor before dropping down onto one knee and pulling a ring box from the back pocket of his jeans.

Connie stood open mouthed for a while before nodding slowly as tears began to roll down her cheeks. Sam stood up, lifting Connie into his arms he heard a giggle, and turned to find Georgie and Ben at the top of the stairs, “come here you” he smiled, picking Georgie up, spinning her round, as Connie lifted Ben into her arms, “am I going to be a bridesmaid?” Georgie asked. Sam nodded, “You are sweetheart”. “And are you going to be my Daddy?” Sam nodded, “if that’s what you want Princess”. Georgie began to grin madly, “I do, more than anything ever”. Sam smiled and kissed Georgie’s head, “Now madam, I think it’s past your bedtime, and yours too little man”. He smiled, leaning over to kiss Ben. “Daddy back” Ben whispered. Connie smiled and kissed her son's forehead, “He is sweetheart, he is indeed”.

Connie and Sam spent the night with all three children in their bed, “I think they’re glad to have you back” Connie smiled, leaning over to kiss Sam softly as Oli slept on her chest, Sam had Ben in a similar position as Georgie laid between them snoring softly, “I hope they don’t make a habit of this”. Sam laughed, “I want to get you all to myself”. Connie chuckled softly, “they’ll get bored of you soon enough”. Sam rolled his eyes, “It’s gone 11 Con, we should sleep they’ll be up before we know it.” Connie smiled, “Night Sam” she whispered, closing her eyes and giving Sam's hand a final squeeze before drifting into a contented slumber.

The five of them spent the next day doing mundane things most families took for granted, they went to Asda before taking a stroll round the park, and having a picnic lunch. Connie sat on the picnic blanket, laid against Sam's chest, both of them watching as Georgie ran round the playground, Oli and Ben both napping in the double buggy. “I’ll speak to my lawyer in the morning”. Connie said, turning in Sam’s arms, “see about you adopting Georgie now Dan’s lost interest, if that okay with you.” Sam nodded, “If Georgie’s okay with it”. Connie nodded, “She’s already told me she’d rather just be Georgie Strachan than Georgie Clifford-Strachan”. Sam smiled, “In that case I’d be happy to adopt her.”

Sam walked into the living room later that night, after the children had gone to bed, a glass of champagne in each hand. He placed the glasses on the table before sitting beside Connie and kissing her softly, “What are we drinking to?” she asked as their lips finally parted, “what do you mean?” “You can’t drink champagne without a toast”. Connie informed him. Sam thought for a moment before passing Connie a glass, “to new beginnings” he smiled. Connie smiled too, “to new beginnings” she said, pausing for a moment before adding “and happy endings”.

Awww, I am really sad its over, however, it was a fantastic ending. I am so glad Sam and Connie have sorted things out and are going to get married. Sam has also agreed to adopt Georgie although Dan was really stupid to lose interest in his own daughter! I really, really do hope there is going to be a sequel as I really enjoyed reading his fic, I love your writting. biggrin.gif

Amazing part. I'm so glad that Connie and Sam are back together as a family again, you can tell they love each other, and they managed to sort through what happened and will both be stronger for it. They are such a lovely family, and was so sweet that they all spent Sam's first night back all in the same bed together as a happy family. Love that Connie suggested to Sam that she wanted him to adopt Georgie and that he accepted, because his there more for Georgie tahn what Dan is, and Sam's a proper dad to her, also it will probably be better for Georgie so that she don't feel like the odd one out by having a different surname to the rest of her family when Sam and Connie get married. Also so glad Sam asked Connie to marry him and she accepted, there just meant to be together. biggrin.gif

Amazing part. I'm very sad this fic is ending, it's been fantastic from start to end and it filled the void for me after "Needing You" finished, but although I'm sad to see this end, you did the ending part perfect. I always love reading your writing, and even if it's a sad part it always makes me smile, because you write with great emotion and detail, and your writing is just amazing, I could read it all the time. I hope you do another fic when you get time, because your writing is amazing, and I find it a pleasure to read.x notworthy.gif sad.gif notworthy.gif

I'm sad it is over, but it was an amazing part as usual. I love this fic, it's definately in my top 5, hope there will be a sequel, or a new fic, as I love your writing. X
