This takes place in New York City.

Scenario (note to outside readers: this is not an actual plan or anything. It is just an RPG.): The NYPD CSI lab are working on a case where multiple people were murdered and children were kidnapped (the children are mostly the children of rich people (like company owners, company vice presidents, or other people who have a lot of money), or the children of the murdered people) (they think the murders and kidnappings are related, but don't know for sure if they are or not). Mac, Stella, and Sid are the main culprits of the case, but they have used other people to help them commit the crimes, so there would be no trace that it was them who had been the ones in charge of the crimes. The people who do the dirty work are getting paid a lot to keep their mouths shut about the people who are in charge of the whole operation. Mac, Stella, and Sid are holding the children hostage in a spare house that Mac owns (he usually uses it for a vacation home, or a weekend getaway), located in the middle of nowhere within driving distance from New York City. They have the children blindfolded, gagged, and ears plugged so they won't have a clue who captured them. They also have the children tied down to beds so they can't run away. They only un-gag the children long enough to feed them several times a day, since they need the children to be alive to get what they want. They plan on killing the children after they get what they want. When communicating with people relating to the kidnapping, Mac (who does all the communicating) uses a false phone number no one can trace and a voice modifier device that is attached to the mouth piece of the phone so no one can identify his voice. No one other than Mac, Stella, and Sid have any idea what is going on. Just in case the children can somewhat hear through the earplugs, they also do most of their communication from inside the basement of the house where the children would not be able to hear them. When they have any contact with the children, they wear different clothing that remain there so they do not bring any trace that they were with the children with them. While on the job, they act like they have no clue about anything regarding the case, and do an excellent job at it. No one suspects them.

Mac also keeps Peyton, his wife, from having any clue that he is involved very well. He makes up a good excuse on where he was and what he was doing (usually something he normally does anyway) while he was at his vacation house with the children. Stella and Sid do the same thing to keep their significant others from knowing what is going on as well.

Note: We will not be making separate threads for the good guys and the bad guys (it is pointless since some of the characters within a profile are on different sides) so, for those who are on opposite sides, they must remain clueless of the other sides activities, unless they are both, as in the case with Mac, Stella, Sid, and several others. *is in the forensics lab, talking to Sid who found something on a victim he is performing an autopsy on* "Any idea what this is?" *looks at the odd object Sid pulled out of the vic.'s body and handed to him, flipping the bag it's in multiple times to look at it from different angles*

"I have no idea. That's why I gave it to you. I was hoping that you, or someone would be able to identify it. If not by looking at it, then by running tests on it."

"I'll get Danny to look at this and have him run a bunch of tests to identify it."

"Ok. Thanks for coming down." *Smiles*

"You're welcome." *smiles back and then leaves, heading towards where Danny is* "Hey Danny, I need you to try to identify this item Sid found in our vic.'s body." *hands the item to Danny*
