Okay, since I can't stop breaking my own rules (I'm very passionnate about my Zelda biggrin.gif) I thought it was about time we had our own off-topic chit-chat thread. However, guys, keep it spam free. The thread till follow a topic, and if one tires you can introduce another, but no shit like "my cat's breath smells like cat's food" in the middle of talking about the Presidential election, mkay?

My cat's breath smells like cat's food. She's outside at the moment. I can see her through the window.

*points and laughs at*

I'll bring her in cause it's cold and she's an old fogey now. She'll die.

Anyways....what?

Mmmm, I love me some Zelda! Hoorah! Ocarina of Time was like the best game ever.

I'll finish OoT one day... One day... lol!

I reckon Wind Waker was kinda easy... But the new Zelda that's coming onto GameCube, the graphics looks amazing! biggrin.gif

But yes, back to OoT...

Anyone use the three spells much that's gotten from the three Goddesses?

I think it's Din's Fire, Nyrul's Love and Fiona's Wind?

Oh I don't know hwo to spell 'em now. Din's Fire I use most out of the three. So I know that the best.

And don't we all just love the Sages and their Tunes?

Sarai's Song is the catchiest but the Sun Song's got the best rhythm, and one I use the most. Ah, day. Ah, night.

I would be pathetic and correct you but I'm trying to look cool. WW was crap, enough said. And Paz... that's it, I'm adding to your warning level for that!

Could you explain to me the basics of Zelda so that I can at least pretend to be interested? Like a background story or whatnot.

It's a computer game that's been around for many, many years. Zelda's had loads of different games, on every Nintendo platform. It's about a boy, usually called Link, who has to do all this cool shit... it's an RPG basically. It involves sword fighting, horse riding, magic battles, ghosts, power, ah, it's fucking great so it is. The best ever Zelda game (Zelda is the princess who of course you have to rescue wink.gif) is Ocarina of Time, on the Nintendo 64. You really have to play this game to understand the sheer magic and wonder it brings. The storyline is fantastic, as are the towns and temples you visit, and not to mention the amazing score! Mm, Zelda music. The sheer scale that a Zelda game operates... it's just incredbly amazing. Buy it. Buy a Nintendo and this game. It will make you happy.

Ooh. Shiny. And aw. All of this talk about Zelda has generated advertisement links (hee).

You know, come to think of it. I think I had that game on Super Nintendo ten years ago.

I can't remmber exactly but...
You start off as a little boy called Link with a fairy named Navi, living in a village with all these kids that are born from the forest of something (I told you I can't remember).
Anyways, you find out your not really a forest kid and you leave (which is forbidden to forest kids), but before you leave your friend gives you a occarina.
Then you go our and help random people and meet Zelda the princess.
Then you find out the princess can sense something evil (a guy called Gannondorf) and you have to stop him while you age and along the way, get a horse!
(Sorry about the spelling of the names).

That's the basis of the game...
If you want more, you'll have to ask some of the other guys as that is really all I can remember.

You should pick it up if you have a N64, it would cost $5-10 at the most.

Kokori Village.

The friend is Sara, whom is also later awoken as the Forest Sage.

Random people yes.... .-. Meet Zelda, oh yeah.

I still can't get that horse. I can't beat Malon as his horse riding... meh... And the Triforces react, Ganondorf stole Zelda away but she leaves you the Orcarina of Time.

I have OoT on GameCube along with MasterQuest. I like the Spirit Temple the best, the most challenging on ever... ._. I hate Lord Jubjub's belly, it's aqbsolutely freaky inside... It looks gross.

Haha, thanks for clearing all that up, Shinji.
I didn't know you could get OoT on GameCube?! Did they re-release it as a disc?
Nope, the Water Temple is the most challenging. happy.gif

When I brought Wind Waker, the Wind Waker box came with OoT and OoT:MQ as well.

So yeah... It's on GameCube.

I love playing Sara's Song. The tune is so cool. laugh.gif

Dou dou dou. Dou dou dou....

It's Saria. Not Sara.

Anyways, OoT is actually the best game in the whole world.

The water temple is so damn hard, it took me for ever to get through it. I loved Epona (the horse), she was teh kewlies. I also loved how you started as a child and then when you pulled the master sword from it's pedestal, you turned into adult Link.

It was groovy seeing all the old places from his childhood all changed and stuff. Oh the tragedy that Zora's Domain was frozen over.

Some places, like the shadow temple and the desert colossus were so damn spooky. That's one thing about Zelda, you just get immersed in it. It's amazing.

Getting all the songs rocked, and getting the sages. The swords. Tunics. Boots. All that crap-o-rama. Oh it was good.

I liked OoT but after a while I just stopped playing. I had played and played and played and I was in the water temple and then I bought a guide. Before I got it I left the water temple because I was stuck. When I got back I had messed up the water levels with Zelda's Lullaby. So it was a HUGE mess. I tried to retrace my steps and it worked some. I ended up fighting Shadow Link and from there it's all a blur. I got my Gamecube and started to play it instead. Good game though.

GO the Megaton Hammer!! laugh.gif Luv that weapon

Just a lil tad slow, but veeery fun to use. Heh... Navi was funny enough

I rather liked the Forest Temple, it was fun. The Shadow Gan was kinda wicked, the whole baseball thing and all.

The Zora Tunic's the best out of the three. Goran was okay, I don't like the red as much though. The Bomb Flowers are always a favourite of mine.

The Song of Storm can make indoor rain. =)

The Shadow Monkey was a lil difficult. I had to use the Ice Arrows to freeze his hands and then use the Lens of Truth. It could have been worst.

The Water Temple Boss, it was annoying. I kept missing with my hookshot...

Wow, all the memories are coming back to me.
Good times, I think I might play it again... I haven't in at least 3 years.
Ugh, I think I might have to buy a GC for the next Zelda too... rolleyes.gif
Sor those who haven't seen what the new Zelda looks like click here and here.

Pfft, everyone knows Final Fantasy is the best set of games in the world. Not to mention best RPGs in the world. I'd like to see Link try and fight Quistis and Shiva. BAM! Little green clothing guy goes down!

Mmmm Quistis. Whip-y dominatrix goodness. Ahem. Yup, FF definitely would kick Zelda's ass. Quistis, Selphie and Shiva. Now that's a dream team.

KT: Link plays magic tennis with his sword. He could kick anyone's ass. And has pointy ears. I've played both FF and Zelda. Zelda wins.

Zelda > FF

Pwnzored!!! ohmy.gif

Oh yeah, magic tennis, thats great AND useful. Only then I remember that supernatural sports aren't useful.

And ff9 rocked, the fmv sequences, the music, the story, [most of] the characters (Amarant was stupid and I didn't get why he was even there. Plus he looked weird), it was just damn good.

Not on the same epic scale as ff8, but that game was just amazingly super.
