The Source's Lair

[The Source]

You'll find me, The Source Of All Evil in this chamber. Do not disturb me unless I have sent for you. You wouldn't want to incur my wrath now, would you?

[The Source]

The Source calls Blaze to His Lair.

[Blaze]

::Blaze shimmers in. After a hestitant second, he bows slightly before the source and rises back up, looking at one of the demonic guards near him with an uneasy eye.::

"You wished to see me, my liege?"

(Just... Don't panic...)

[The Source]

"Blaze, ah, one of my most exciting... you are filled with potential. I wish you to train your powers. I know you have already signed up for the Arena, and I want you to strive to win every battle you come up against there. Your goal is to become one of Nilim's official fighters. With that, comes great power, strength, and status. What do you say?"

[Blaze]

::Blaze considers his options carefully.::

(What should I say here? Yes? No?)

"I... Believe I do..."

(Or do I?)

[The Source]

(I wonder if he knows I can read his mind... still. Better let him play the way he wants to.)

"Wise choice, Blaze. I shall send instruction to Nilim about allowing you certain... privileges while competing. That should see you into the top of the league very soon."

::The Source bows his head.::

"You may go."

[Blaze]

(Okay, I'll see how it turns out...)

"Thank you, my liege."

::With that, he shimmers out to the Market::

[The Source]

The Source calls Prieto to his lair.

[Prieto]

:: Prieto shimmers in and bows before the Source ::

(I dont hope he can read minds...)

"You called, my liege..."

[The Source]

"I like to think of myself as a patient beast; I give my demons leeway to do what they wish up on Earth providing they do not stray from my philosophies... but you..."

::The Source's darkened face looks at Prieto. His features are hidden from the large hood that disguises his face so nobody knows what he looks like.::

"You, why I have been told you have made friends with witches, helped them, offered your services..."

::He tuts and shakes his head.::

"Now Prieto, I know you are young, but do you really think I will let you continue to live this way?"

[Prieto]

:: Prieto closes her eyes thightly and gulps ::

(I knew it...wait...witches? Holy mother of...)

"Yes..I mean no, my liege. I have not been aware of...I didn't know my friends where witches."

(So. Dead. Great. I die, because I didn't kill you people. You better remember me....or else..)

[The Source]

::The Source rises and walks to a small podium on which rests a crystal ball.::

"Look."

::He commands, waving a hand over the small sphere, and images appear in it. We see Patience Brookhaven having a laugh around in P3.::

"Her. I want you to kill her."

::The Source turns and looks at Prieto.::

"Bring me her head."

[Prieto]

:: Prieto sighs and looks at the image of Patience ::

(Right...I can do that. COnsidering she just save my life, or will, when she's dead.)

"H-her head? Okay. I shall. My liege"

:: She bows and shimmers to...The caribbean to flee the country? No. to the Back alley of P3 ::

[Parker]

::Shimmering in near the sources lair, Parker speaks to the two huge demonic guards.::

"I need to speak to the Source."

::Parker looks to one and turns to the other.::

"It's important."

[The Source]

"Allow him to enter."

::He waves a hand at the guards, then steeples his fingers.::

"Only those who have been summoned may enter here, Parker. Why are you the an exception to my rule? What degree of audacity do you have to disturb me?"

::Speaking in a calm, terror inducing voice he stares at Parker from beneath his feature hiding hood.::

[Parker]

::Parker walks in front of the Source and bows.::

"My liege, I have done dreadfully at being evil. I have feelings of good and I even cared for a witch. Purge me of this. Darken my soul."

[The Source]

::A moment of tense and terrifying silence passes before the source one again speaks.::

"I shall do but one thing for you, subject."

::He waves his hand at the demon engulfing him in flames. The burning, agonising flames transport Parker to The Square.::

[Parker]

::Walking in, Parker stops in front of the demonic guards and shows them Lee's heart and scalp.::

"I have gifts for my liege, not to mention I wish to speak to him."

[The Source]

"Let him enter."

::Comes The Source's dry, dark voice.::

"I want to see what he has to say for himself."

::The guards move aside and The Source addresses Parker quietly.::

"You escaped from the Square. Admirable, Parker, yet so very risky."

[Parker]

::Parker steps forwards and bows to The Source.::

"I was willing to take such a risk. It was a great way to prove I've changed...and I've brought you these."

::He unwraps the blanket to reveal the bloody heart and scalp of Lee.::

"They're from the witch I killed."
