The Void

[The Powers That Be]

The void is a large, spiralling grey wind tunnel. It's not a pleasant place to hang around in. It's like standing inside a sideways hurricane, except with calmer wind. That's not to say there isn't any, though. Expect to shout and stumble a lot. Ooh, maybe it's like a giant hoover...

[Paige]

::Paige flames in gripping tightly onto Azura. The rushing wind sound of the void makes her have to shout, and the pressure of the wind pushing past them is hard for standing steady.::

"Are you okay?"

[Azura]

:: Azura grips onto Paige just as tightly to keep herself from falling over.::

"My head."

:: Hurts. And that blow could have killed her. Stupid AP!::

[Paige]

"I don't know where to go."

::Shout shout shout.::

::Paige looks around, knowing it'll be super-hard for Prue to find them here.::

(I need to stop her being able to sense us.)

[Azura]

:: Azura nods, leaning into Paige more and sharing her blood with her. She's feeling woozy now, dizzy, spinning.::

[Paige]

(Crap.)

::Paige doesn't have any healing potion on her. She flames to the swamp.::

[Carys]

::Carys blinks in and lets herself get buffeted about by the wind for a bit. She likes the void, which is why she just blinks out so often. You don't have to do anything here.::

(Come on then.)

::Eventually she takes a fighting stance to give herself some balance and holds one hand out in front of her, palm upwards. Creating a fireball, she slowly lets it grow on its own. It's a little harder up here as the wind keeps threatening to extinguish it. Once it's the size of a... round microwave, she tries to take her hand away and leave it floating in the air.::

[It works, but it slowly peters out and disappears at about the same speed as it grew.]

[Carys]

(Interesting.)

::Carys repeats the action with her other hand, making a large fireball and leaving it in the air with her hand by her side. This time, before it disappears, she tries to make it move upwards.::

[The fireball seems to float a tiny bit higher, but extinguishes a lot faster this time.]

[Carys]

::Carys nods a little to herself. Here's something she can practice. So she does, repeating the motions over and over. Eventually she's doing it without thinking, the only reason she's not getting frustrated.::

[Carys]

::Hit by a particularly strong gust of wind, Carys stops her work and suddenly realises how tired she is.::

(I need a watch. Would a watch work here? Would it work if I blinked up into to space? I wonder if I can blink up into space.)

::Exhausted, she blinks to her apartment.::

[Nadia]

::Nadia and Charlotte reappear. Nadia, due to the loud noise, covers her ears.::

"Where to? I figure it's pretty much safe here, unless you are worried about going deaf."

[Charlotte]

"And where is here exactly?"

[Nadia]

"The Void. From what I've gathered, whenever someone uses a transportation power, they go here momentarily until they end up at their destination. I think it's a good idea to stay here until we think of a fault proof plan, considering now that we are facing an apocalypse and any mistake can prove fatal."

::Nadia feels smart for a dumbass.::

[Charlotte]

"We could go and help them, as sickening as it sounds. We need to contact some kind of psychic, to find out what's going to happen."

[Nadia]

"Before I found you at the streets, I went to the club to try and help them. Needless to say, they were about as accepting of working with us as we are of them."

::Nadia says, leaving out the part of saying she was one of the peopel who blew up their home. Moving on!::

"A psychic, though? I think that I saw a Magic Shop when we were walking around town earlier tonight. They're sure to have some sort of psychic there, no?"

[Charlotte]

"Well, you're just full of knowledge, aren't you?"

::She hesitantly touches her shoulder.::

"Let's go."

[Nadia]

::Nodding her head, she shimmers the two of them to the Magic Shop.::
