good friend isn't always expectedBlink. She could swear that she had only blinked, but moment later as she had forced her eyes back open like she did since the beginning of class, that moment was when the bell rang and her classmates rushed up to get out of class to get to lunch. Leah had stayed in her seat for a few moments more, a little confused before she began packing her stuff into her bag with a sigh. Later, when she will have no idea what the teacher had talked about in class, she will regret falling asleep, not that she is admitting that she did, she only blinked after all.The blonde let her bag hang from her shoulder as she left the class, following the crowd of students making their way to the cafeteria, proving to be the teenagers they were - always after food. Not that Leah herself wasn't hungry, after a nice nap and way too much classes on the morning, everyone will be or at least that was what her mind reasoning was to not think of herself as fat. She really wasn't after all, because even though she ate a lot, she kept it healthy and not to mention that she also ran twice a week to stay in shape and not fall behind with her dancing, so no matter how much she ate, the weight had no time to set place before it was gone.Leah had joined the line of students waiting to get their lunch, tapping her foot on the floor in a steady rhythm as she waited, half listening to the conversation that went around her as she picked up some pasta and a nice salad along with a small cupcake. She was a sucker for those, especially chocolate cupcakes - it was her weakness. After almost being pushed out of the line by a few guys who rushed to find a table, she let herself look around and see with who she will sit today, to her right she had noticed a few of her friends, people she usually spend lunch time with but as she began walking their way, her eyes fell upon a familiar girl. She gave her friends an apologizing look before going and sitting down across from the brunette. "Hey," she said to the other girl as she placed her bag on the empty chair next to her, the Cafeteria wasn't even half full yet, so if needed she could always place it on the floor eventually. "Haven't seen you in class, lately," she leaned back in her chair. Leah didn't really know Skye but she did notice that the girl had seemed to have been skipping classes lately and being the curious girl she was, Leah wondered what was going on with her. Not to mention that there was never a bad time to try and make a new friend.tagged: Skye | word count: 483 | outfit: Uniforms | notes: weirder when tiredcassie at atf & caution.

The last two weeks had been very, very weird. Things were definitely not going as planned for Skye, Nate wasn't talking to her, sure he texted her back and said hi in class and did all that cute boyfriend stuff with kissing her when he saw her in the dining hall, but that was just for show, because no one needed to know how angry he really was with her. Skye knew why, but she couldn't help it. She didn't want to talk to him about what had happened, and he wouldn't give it up. Both Skye and Nate were really stubborn people, and that definitely didn't help their relationship when both thought the other was wrong about something. Like now. Skye had actually stopped caring about pretty much everything, which was very unlike her. Sure, she'd never been a huge fan of school and studying, but she'd normally attended atleast 9 out of 10 classes, now though, she'd been to about 4 classes this week. And that was a lot less than usual. Thankful for Skye, Nate only had one class with her, and she'd been to that class, just to make sure he wouldn't suspect any odd behaviour. He was already avoiding her because of the way she'd walked out on him at that party they attended a week ago, where he'd pretty much opened up to her saying she should talk to him about what was bothering her. But she didn't want to talk, so she'd taken the best first excuse she could find, and gotten the hell out.
Skye hadn't really thought over how her other classmates would react to her constant skipping, if they even would react, Ellison was a pretty big school after all. Today she'd skipped the entire morning, deciding she might go to class after lunch, if she could just get this stupid hangover out of her system. Which would probably help if she got something to eat. Walking in to the dining hall she looked around, there weren't too many students there yet. She got a tray, choose some pasta for lunch and a soda then went over to an empty table in the corner, sitting down. She expected Bristol or Rory, Skye's two best friends, would show up soon and then she could sit with them. Though before she could spot them, another familiar face sat down facing her. Leah. Skye had always liked Leah, ever since the first time they met. She was like a ball of sunshine walking around and smiling at everyone, and she was really pretty too. They had a few classes together, and usually got along really well. "Oh hey, yeah I haven't really been feeling the whole going to class thing lately." Skye joked, smirking slightly at the girl. It was the truth, but not the entire truth.
good friend isn't always expectedLeah raised an eyebrow at Skye's answer, she could understand it as she too didn't feel like going to class lately, or most of the time actually. The blonde wasn't sure if she knew a person that actually wanted to attend all of his classes, but that was the point. The point was that even though she didn't feel like going to her classes, she did - it was almost the end of the school year anyway, the least one could do is make that little extra effort. "Do you know a person that feel like going to class?" she said, deciding to not question her right away. If there was anything that Leah had learned from her time as ice princess and the different of what she was know, that when something wasn't alright there is the need to ease the person into talking about it, no matter how much she wanted to know.Usually when she wanted to find out something, she will think of some plan to get the person to open up but she didn't know a lot about Skye so she had about no idea what she could do. Leah liked her and so it was easy for her to notice the changes in the girl, yet they weren't exactly friends so it wasn't until she saw Skye that day that she had really decided to step forward and try to be a friend. She knew that she would have liked it if she had been going through something, sometimes it's easier to talk to someone you like but isn't exactly your friend, at least she hoped that Skye liked her, the other girl sure didn't show signs that said otherwise.Smiling at her, Leah decided to start eating, taking some pasta, she looked around for a moment, seeing that the place was still filling up which meant she should have enough time to at least ask some more questions and finish her lunch. "You know, I noticed that you have said lately," she began, playing a little bit with the salad on her plate. "Did something happened? I mean you acts a little differently," her tone was very careful and soft. "On the other hand, it just might be me you know, we aren't exactly friends so..." that was a little awkward but it was enough to let Skye know that she was a little worried and that she cared. That wasn't a bad start.tagged: Skye | word count: 411 | outfit: Uniforms | notes: weirder when tiredcassie at atf & caution.

Skye had always been one of those girls who really tried to befriend anyone and everyone. She didn't like when people said she was mean, or a bitch or just unfriendly. Whenever she heard that someone had said they didn't like her, that she'd treated them bad, she'd always go out of her way to make it up to them, to make them see she was actually a decent person. That she didn't treat people bad and that she didn't think she was better than anyone else. This led to Skye having a lot of friends. Since well, she didn't want people to think she didn't want to be their friend. But it wasn't a bad thing, Skye liked variety, she hated doing the same thing the exact same way twice, and she liked to meet new people and learn knew things and just.. experience everything she could. This was another reason for why people were drawn to her, why they usually did end up liking her - she was sponatnous, random. You never knew what to expect if you'd hang out with Skye Hecquet one day. It could end up doing literally anything.
Skye didn't really know much about Leah, sure she'd been told by alot of people that Leah used to be basically the Ice Queen of Ellison, but she didn't seem anything like that to Skye now. She was geniunely one of the sweetest girls Skye knew. But even if she really did like Leah, she didn't know her, and she didn't know if she could trust her. Hell she hadn't even told Nate everything she was thinking and feeling, she wasn't about to just blurt it out to Leah now all of a sudden. She put on a pretty convincing smile, looking at Leah. "No nothing's wrong, really. I'm just stressed about the exams and everything, it's getting to me." She chuckled softly, leaning back in her chair and picking up her fork, shoveling some of the past into her mouth, swallowing it down she looked at Leah again. "Have I missed much? Anything fun happen while i've been away?" She smiled, winking at her friend as she picked up her soda, taking a sip. This was easier to do than she'd thought, the whole pretend like nothing at all is wrong routine. It just came too easily to her. It was almost scary.

good friend isn't always expectedLeah was curious and those answers Skye was giving her, they were reasonable and even understandable, but the blonde wasn’t someone that people could fool easily, even if she looked like that. The girl had long since learned to see deeper than people showed, after all she hadn’t been an Ice Queen for nothing, she was the girl to hide behind a cold mask and waved away any personal question, being mean and closed off toward the world in order to keep herself safe. Sure, it wasn’t what the other girl was doing, because she was friendly and warm, yet her answers were almost expected in the Korean’s mind and her curiosity kept her from letting the subject go in her mind. On the other hand, it wasn’t like she could actually pressure Skye into talking, those were methods that the old Leah will use, this one gives others the time they need, even if it wasn’t that easy to do.Sighing, the Korean began playing with the tips of her hair, a habit that she had developed when thinking, she simply had to keep her hands busy, it was funny and Hanna will roll her eyes whenever she will see her doing it, but Leah couldn’t control it, staying still wasn’t something she was capable of doing, unless she was sleeping. ”Don’t even talk to me about the exams,” she kind of whined, deciding that the least she can do was use this time to get to know Skye a little more, even if she won’t find out what she wants too, and the easiest way to do it was to continue the conversation. ”I think that my brain is going to melt,” she said, her mind quickly starting to think about the hours Leah spent by trying to learn, mostly failing by falling asleep or throwing the book into the wall after understanding pretty much nothing. ”Missed anything fun?” Leah repeated the question with a soft giggle. ”Let me think about it,” she shook her head slightly. She placed two fingers under her chin to look as if she was thinking hard of something. ”Well, there was the... no wait, it wasn’t fun, more like torture,” she said, humming a little as she bit her lower lip. ”Maybe that class with.. no, not fun either,” she said, all serious like. The blonde turned her brown eyes to Skye and shook her head. ”The most fun I remember is naping during the last class,” she said with a sigh, a small smile tagging at the tips of her lips.tagged: Skye | word count: 444 | outfit: Uniforms | notes: That's okay :Dcassie at atf & caution.

Things had been so much easier in Skye's life when she still lived in Ohio, she'd had a few close friends, she had her boyfriend who she thought she loved back then, and she had her mom. She had definitely not made a name of herself in the small town, she was more one of those girls who didn't try to stick out, she was just glad she had her two bestfriends who she could trust with anything; Callista Urie and Jennifer McAdams. But things changed quickly for Skye in the beginning of her senior year, her boyfriend cheated on her with her bestfriend, Jen, and so Skye stopped talking to the both of them, she was just too angry to even consider listening to them apologize. She begged her mom to move, she didn't want to live in Gallipolis anymore, she wanted a new start. And her mom agreed, so they moved to Canterbury. Who would've thought. But thank god, Skye's bestfriend Callista, transferred to Ellison just a while after Skye had, so she wasn't entirely alone. But this really was a new start for Skye, she gave up her whole trying not to make a name routine, and just decided to be herself. Which seemed to work better than she'd thought. She instantly became bestfriends with Bristol Knight, probably the most popular girl at Ellison, and then Nate came into the picture. He saw her at a party and instantly hit on her, after a few turn downs from Skye, she finally agreed and they ended up going home together. After that, all the hockey guys knew who she was, and befriended her. And all of a sudden, Skye Hecquet was one of the most talked about girls at Ellison.
Skye could definitely relate to Leah's reaction to her mentioning the exams, she herself hated the thought of them, she didn't want to do them and she just couldn't get herself to sit down and study for them. It'd been hard to study even before everything happened with her dad, but now, it just seemed impossible. "Ugh I understand that feeling too well." She laughed a little, picking up her fork again and pushing around the food on her plate. She smiled softly as she listened to Leah trying to think of anything fun that had happened, she couldn't help but chuckle at her response, she was much like Skye in that way, never finishing a sentence when there were too many options to choose from. She looked up at the girl again, nodding with a smile. "I can relate to that, napping during class is probably the only fun thing to do." She smirked, looking over her shoulder she could spot her boyfriend, Nate, walking into the dining hall. She waved a little at him, hoping he wouldn't ignore her wave. He looked at her for a moment, then put one of those forced smiles on his lips and waved back at her. The last thing their relationship needed was for everyone else to know he was angry with her, so he played along. She rolled her eyes slightly and turned back to look at Leah. "So what are you doing this summer? Staying for summer camp?" She asked.
