I know it's hard to remember The people we used to be It's even harder to picture That you're not here next to me You say it's too late to make it But is it too late to try? And in our time that you wasted All of our bridges burned down I've wasted my nights You turned out the lights Now I'm paralyzed Still stuck in that time when we called it love But even the sun sets in paradise I'm at a payphone trying to call home All of my change I spent on you Where have the times gone Baby it's all wrong, where are the plans we made for two? If happy ever after did exist I would still be holding you like this All those fairytales are full of shit One more stupid love song I'll be sick ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For once in Skye's life, everything seemed to be going her way. She had the most amazing friends, and she had the most amazing.. well almost boyfriend. Nate Hart. Who was also her bestfriend, and probably one of the most important people in her life. And definitely the first guy she felt like she could trust to 100% after the whole Owen fiasco. When Owen had kissed her friend, Jennifer, back in Ohio when they were dating, Skye had been so angry. She'd been angry enough not to be heartbroken for a long time. Not until she stopped talking to Owen completely, and moved away, did she realize how heart broken she really was. He had been her bestfriend, sure their relationship had had many flaws. The biggest one being her never blaming him for anything - she just took the blame for whatever argument or disagreement they had, hoping he'd drop it if she did. But maybe that had been why he'd gone looking for something else, why he'd made out with Jen, because Skye didn't stand up for herself. She just let everyone walk all over her, her friends, her classmates, and her boyfriend.

It was a beautiful day in Canterbury, the sun was out, and there was a slight breeze so it didn't get too hot outside. Skye had no plans whatsoever, Nate was busy with his hockey friends, and Bristol, Skye's bestfriend, was out with her other friend, Rory. So Skye had the day all to herself. Which was something she rarely had. Skye wasn't one to choose to be alone, she didn't like being alone. But there were those few rare moments when she'd enjoy it, maybe like 3 times a year or something. Today was one of those days. She'd been in her dorm, trying to decide how to spend her free time. Finally settling on going to the park, bring a book a long, and just sit on the bench and people watch. She didn't really have any worries right now, nothing that was keeping her mind occupied, so it was easy to just.. be. Without having to constantly think of things she didn't want to think about.

Walking into the park she smiled to herself, it was so beautiful there. There were quite a few people out today, enjoying the weather. She walked through the park, looking for a bench where she could sit. But all the benches seemed to be occupied. She frowned slightly, turning around to look for some other place to sit. When she spotted the perfect tree. It was placed right on the edge of the forest area, with a lot of grass surrounding it. She quickly walked over, hoping no one would snatch the place from her. If they did, they would definitely get a piece of her mind.
